Be it Kumar Sanu , Abhijeet Bhattacharya or Udit Narayan , there was only one female playback singer - Alka Yagnik. Just like Lata Mangeshkar before her was the only queen between Mukesh , Rafi and Kishore. Quite the opposite scenario to actors where one Shahrukh used to be cast alongside Juhi Chawla , Madhuri Dixit or Kajol.

Her voice declined due to age but she sang nearly 15k songs and after Lata Mangeshkar ji she is the only one who can be termed as the Melody Queen.She absolutely ruled Bollywood for one decade and no other female singer could challenge her dominance due to her matchless Voice.
Her tonal quality makes her superior to all female singers in India.Her voiced declined but her songs from 1988 - 2008 are ever lasting.
