hi maddie,
when verifying me signing up to your course, i got directly relinked to your last video. am I signed up now or is that a technical issue?
i can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to your course!!
lot's of love- Amina
Can't wait for a try on video where you show us your current 10 item wardrobe
Did this recently, but I love variety. czcams.com/video/8vfsWVXumyg/video.html
I follow a lot of minimalists, small wardrobe channels. And I think Iâve just found my favorite and Iâm so happy to have found yours.đ I personally love your beachy style and the colors you incorporate into your wardrobe. I love that you are minimal but also have such a beautiful style. Itâs hard when you (đââïž) donât fit the typical minimalist expected style, the plain white t-shirt, or the 95% all black or the mostly beige, etc minimalist style. I like a little color and I like a little cute and thatâs why I love your style and your cute little jumpers and overalls and your dreamy colors that are still so classy. I find you are the opposite of boring and stale (which is not the case for many minimalists) so you are like a breath of fresh air to me. I also love that you homeschool your kiddos and seem to be a very earthy individual. đż much loveđž
This is so sweet Michelle. Thank you for your support â€ïž
I always feel so calm after watching your videos. And love love love the idea of the simplified wardrobe with higher quality pieces. Thatâs a goal Iâm working toward right now!
This is so sweet. Thank you Jordyn â€ïž
I decided to declutter when my closet was so jamm packed, I had no idea what I had. Even new pieces were buried. I noticed I was wearing the same things over and over because I had so much, it was too time consuming to dig thru everything to get dressed.
I asked myself two questions
What do i feel most comfortable in
And what is my style/color choice
I put together a wardrobe of
Leggings
Pair of jeans
1 dress pant
3 dresses
5 sweaters
10 tank tops
5 shorts
5 t-shirts
3 dress blouses
5 cardigans
1 winter coat
1 trench coat
Getting ready in the morning is now so easy
I wear what feels good in the colors that suit me.
No huge decisions in the mornings. And my closet looks beautiful
Can you link the ring you wear on your middle finger. I see you wear it in every video, and it's so unique
your revamped wardrobe sounds awesome and peaceful!! :) came here to say that i also love her ring and would appreciate a link đ
You can find them in Etsy. They are called hammered rings.
âNo matter how much I bought, I felt like I had nothing to wear.â
We all feel this :(
obsessed obsessed obsessed !!!!! I've had the biggest declutter of my life (coming from someone who has many monthly clear outs but somehow always finds themselves back in a chaotic, cluttered home) over the past few days - 3 bing bags on my clothes at the door along with random furniture items, baby clothes, plant pots, you name it - thanks to discovering your videos! I cant stop watching them, I think I'm driving my boyfriend mad. But I had a baby 3 months ago (wow, how new motherhood has a way of putting what's important into perspective) and due to my body changing so much, I've been staring at a wardrobe full of tiny clothes from my youth that I "hoped" would someday fit. They're ALL going to charity and I am so excited to treat myself to a couple of new gorgeous pieces that I absolutely love and that fit my body NOW. You have reshaped minimalism for me - maybe I didn't know what it really consisted of, but ever since my teenage years I've found so much cleansing joy in CLEARING OUT. About to get started on the bedroom my baby will soon be toddling around in with my step daughter! Thank you so much Madi. I can't wait to start this new journey, for myself and my baby (and maybe even my 'things obsessed' boyfriend, once he comes around to the idea). prioritising quality over quantity, always. quality clothing. quality experiences. quality conversation. Thank you thank you !
I lived in Italy for a couple years and the apartment my husband and I stayed in only had one dresser and one closet, we definitely had to cut back on what we had and just keep what we loved. Loved this video đ
Thank you for watching â€ïž
One of my new favorite weekend habits is starting off my day watching one or two of your videos! Thank you for the tips, good vibes, and inspiration! I just started reading Carl Honoreeâs book too :) so good!
Hello, I wanted to thank you for your videos. I gotten my wardrobe down to 60 items. I realize it might not be minimalist to some but I live in a 4 season climate and this amount feels just right for me. I also decluttered down my other belongings to what I actually use day to day. But I also remembered to keep somethings I love just because they make me happy . God bless you and yours!! đ
Thanks for watching Lisa â€ïž Iâm so glad my videos have helped you pair down.
Your channel is growing so much! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for watching! â€ïž
I love your videos! Always so intentional and dedicated. Also enjoy you in the comments connecting with us. We appreciate you! đđŒ Would love to see some balanced plant based meals your family shares in a week!
Thanks Ash! I appreciate you â€ïž
I love your wardrobe videos! It gives me inspiration on what items I should improve on or let go of in my own
Thanks Ally â€ïž
I love your style and your collection :)
Sophie! This means so much to me. â€ïž Thank you for inspiring me with your videos!
I always love your message. I am always left with a calming feeling!
Once I started trying a smaller wardrobe I never looked back. It gave me permission to buy better quality clothes and truly enjoy them! Now I can put my focus somewhere else in life besides staring at clothes in my closet!
Thank you so much for your support â€ïž
You are beautiful. Good for you, doing this, wholehearted wholesomeness! I'd be proud to have you as a daughter đ€
gosh thank you â€ïž
Awesome video. From now on I will ask myself how I feel in an item instead of asking the mirror how I feel.
Yes!! â€ïž
Your videos are so beautiful and inspiring. I just discovered your channel and binge watched your videos. Iâm a mama of 5, six years and under and Iâm on my own journey of minimizing our belongings and slowing life down to enjoy their childhood and live a more wholesome life. I appreciate your efforts to provide advice so so much. I absolutely love your work and encouraging words. Youâre authentic and so relatable. I aspire to live a life like you! Thank you †keep going. đ€
Thank you for the kind words Lindsey â€ïž Iâm so grateful for your support and so happy that you have resonated with my videos.
Really interesting & inspiring stuff. It's made myself reflect on some things. Thank you for making such a wholesome video. You're style is beautiful!
I'm so glad! â€ïž
Adore your channel & the positive messages. Thank you for sharing đ
Thank you for watching Nicole â€ïž
I am obsessed with your sweater sets!!!!! If you ever see anything similar somewhere please tell us!! Lol đ
So true! đđ
Another amazing minimalist channel is Dawn, from The Minimal Mom.
Although I'm not quite a minimalist, I truly don't like lots of extra, or clutter around. I like to keep things simple and clean, it looks so much tidier that way. Great video, thanks for sharing đ€âšïžđ€âšïž
Dawn is great đđ»
Loved this comfy video! I laughed when you did your happy danceđ. I love overalls too, it gives moms extra hands to hold things (pocketsđ). Then by the end of the day we are decluttering our pockets!
Thanks for watching â€ïž
I always look forward to your videos! Iâm excited for your passion project! đ
Thank you Sadie â€ïž me too!
Thanks lovely! Did you ever get colour matching done to see what suits your complexion? I find all your clothes are beautiful colours for your skin tone and hair colour, and I love how you are going for comfort. I love the idea of quality and comfortable clothes - and going with how it feels! đđ„° have a beautiful week!
Yes! I talk more about this in my upcoming course too!
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing
This is so sweet. Thanks for watching â€ïž
So inspiring †Madisun your videos have helped me so much with my kids I would love love love for another slow living with kids video or even a morning in a slow living family
Thanks Brittany â€ïž next weekâs video might look a little like this
@@MadisunGray no Thankyou! Youâve changed my life and my kids lives so much Iâm so greatful for you and your channel, ooo canât wait đđ
Haven't been here in a long while, always just so grounding! Also love Malama Life
Welcome back â€ïž
Great video as always, the only disappointment is the length, I could listen to you all night! Much love xx
Hahaha đ€Ł podcast coming soon with the course for longer form topics â€ïž
Thank you for your videos! I too have been inspired by you đ
I love đ the little twinkling lights you have around your fireplace. They donât look like fairy lights? Do you mind sharing where you got them? Thank you!
They are just Christmas lights đ
I never I have a common to nobody, but you are my favorite person that I follow from ever and I want you to know that you are specialâ€
Thank you â€
Hi Madison, Where did you get your purse/backpack? Or do you know the brand? I love how versatile and neutral it is.
Love your videos!! And Malama life too xx
thank you! I love her videos too!
What is the fabric of the green set from the wholesome store? I know they donât make it anymore but I am curious to find something as similarly buttery soft as that one looks. Thanks for your help!! đ
I absolutely love your videos. I find them so inspirational. I have a relatively small wardrobe but would love to downsize even more. My trouble is I (unfortunately) now live in a four season state, and I don't have a washer in my apartment. It is often difficult for me to get laundry done. How often do you wash? And, no, I don't want to hand wash my clothes every night. Lol I remember my grandmother handwashing her undergarments every night and hanging them in the bathroom. Such a different time.
I do smaller loads, probably 2 times a week. Thank you for all your support Susan â€ïž
@@MadisunGray Thank you. đ
A couple of weeks ago I threw out two bags of clothing too. I still have a lot more clothes then you do but at least it all fits comfortably in my wardrobe now and it makes choosing an outfit a lot easier. I guess in a while Iâll even get rid of more because I noticed to tend to pick the same few items all the time while everything else is just hanging there.
Itâs definitely a process â€ïž
Thank you for giving me permission to go put on my leggings instead of the pants I was wearing. â€
â€ïž
Love this !!!! I wish lived somewhere warmer as I find I love to live with far less !
What do you wear for Xmas ?
I hate the idea of one outfit just for Xmas - I want something I can wear again ! I do like pjs at Xmas for the kids as just a nice thing memories to me as child ! And nice new top for Xmas day then back into pjs !
Love to see you stance in this đđđ what do you wear at Xmas Eve and Xmas day
Thanks for the new video.
My pleasure â€ïž
I to have started buying organic Gots certified clothes for my grandchildren. Never realized the chemicals in clothing. Thanks for showing me a new company!
So true. Thanks Debbie â€ïž
I looked for the pink sweater you were wearing in the link and it takes me to some thing else on Amazon. Can you tell me where you got it?
Would love to see some simple cooking videos
I watch her too....love both of your content. đ„°đ
Such a compliment, thank you.
This was beautiful, you are beautiful, Madi. Your wardrobe is so cozy. Back when you moved into your home you were talking about painting the fireplace. I take back my original comment about going for it, and actually love itâs aesthetic.đ
It has been so exciting seeing your channel grow. When I first began watching your videos I remember thinking how high quality and unique they are, and how you deserve more subscribers (I think you had 14k then). It is really amazing seeing you create more and the work you put into your channel and now seeing it grow more and more :) Great job! Thank you for all that you create and share with us. It is very refreshing and helpful to see someone who is into minimalism and slow living and also a mother.
Thank you for your support â€ïž I couldnât do it without your support. So glad you resonate with my videos
Aaahhh thatâs nice you got something from Ellie. I live a few kms up the road from her.
They are my favorite â€ïž
Another Australian brand that does comfy linen pieces and sets are the lullaby club. Not sure if itâs sustainable but itâs certainly well made Iâve had my sets for years
@@lisagolding8740 That's actually where my favorite set is from! I just bought it from TWS, thanks for letting me know that they're their own shop! I'll start sharing them!
What will you guys do now that gardening isnât a thing?đ€·ââïž Currently raining and 50° heređŹ
I actually am gardening even more where I live now that it's colder, but I think hunkering down and "wintering" is so good for us! Taking a rest is just as important as producing.
Iv been declutteringbfor a while now
And have just decided to renovate rip out or old built ins because they never worked for the space I was going to spend thousands on a wardrobe system then realised I don't own enough clothes so now have a vintage amour that's was meant to be because we thrifted 1 and the found almost the same one on Facebook all up $180 for both and our whole wardrobe fits in
Thatâs awesome đđ»
Did you get rid of the on off tan gingham dress?
I did, so bummed but it just was the wrong size. I gave it to a friend.
Iâm hanging onto so many clothes for âwhen I stop breast feedingâ but my baby is 18 mo and going strong and I have no intention of weaning him until he decides to be done which could be a couple more years potentially⊠so Iâm really starting to think I need to let go!
Did you get rid of the dress from meninthestudio? I would love to see more of your decluttering process đ€â€ïž
I didn't! It's actually in this video, just underneath a sweater so it looks like a skirt.
@@MadisunGray â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Thank you for sharing. So many of the things you were talking about today is what I have been working on lately and praying with the Lord about. Making wiser decisions of what I bring into our home and have a wardrobe that I enjoy the pieces. More is not always better. Less many times is better if you truly are using those pieces. I used to have a ton of clothes also in the early years of my marriage. My husband had way less clothes than me. I did not wear have of the junk I had. I have always enjoyed giving things away. I did give a way a lot of things over the year but then you tend to go by more. So I would like to learn more self control over that and here and there get 1 or two pieces for my closet but when something comes in try to make sure something goes out. Just be more intentional is what I want to do. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for being here Patricia â€ïž
What song is that?
5 trash bags of clothes gone about 6 months, never thought of them once.
Love that Jennifer
Any tips for pregnancy and breastfeeding ? I find it really hard to buy quality pieces when my body is changing sooo much !
Right there with you! I felt self-conscious at first when I'd go through clothing item because they were breastmilk stained or super stretched out or *no one tells you this* but when you're breastfeeding your body is still flowing with the horomone relaxin which makes it impossible to "get your body back" all the way to normal so, at least in my case... I don't fit back in my prepregnancy clothes for about two years.
At first, I felt bad about buying new things for my changing body as a "minimalist" but that type of restrtiction is not what I teach and not what I'm about. My wardrobe is about taking care of myself well. To me, it's about simplifying life as a mom so that you can have more ease, not more rules and stress.
1. I have accepted that I'm in a season where my body is changing and my size fluctuates, that's a HUGE first step.
2. Secondly, I buy more "forgiving" things, elastic waistbands, BUTTON FRONTS OR BUTTON DOWNS, wrap fronts, soft, stretchy material, loose linen, stretchy bralettes instead of bras, larger comfy sweaters, soft loose tshirts and tank tops, and I'm ok to let things go and swap things out when I need to. Even with this approach, I probably buy 6-8 new clothing items per year.
3. I love breastfeeding my babies, (and toddlers) it's great for my health, it's wonderful for my baby's health it adds so much ease and slowness to my day and it is just beautiful. I love everything about it. đ I hope that helps.
(one other random thing: wearing a slip under some of my dresses that aren't button front allows me to breastfeed in them evern when they aren't breastfeeding friendly)
â€â€â€
@@MadisunGray aww thank you so much !
Yes Iâm currently breastfeeding my almost 2 year old still . And weâre planning for baby number two , and my wardrobe is just all over the place at the moment . Iâm finding the thrift shop to be super help-full thou so Iâm not spending as much money .
Yes ! I donât actually own any â maternity â or â breastfeeding â clothing , I just wear super stretchy clothing or something I can slip my boob out of haha .
Thank you so much for all the tips I really appreciate it !
Do you still have the Man in the Studio linen top?
I gave it to a friend who looked better in that color that me. I still have the dress from there though, it just looks different because I have a sweater over it.
@@MadisunGray Okay very nice! All of your current outfits look really good!
What about PJs
†your channel. I also †Malama Life channel too.
You are beautiful.
Thank you Karmen â€ïž
For me I need more clothes items than you, but I got rid from so many from mine.
You know whatâs right for you â€ïž
Sadly, with the economic downturn , purchasing better quality clothes is just not an option now. No matter how small my wardrobe is. One ânatural fibreâ sweater from any sustainable brand is not possible. An average cost for me would be close to $200- $300. Now, even the poor quality, synthetic items available in fast fashion stores are âexpensiveâ. Also, I cannot thrift clothes due to âreactionsâ to synthetic laundry scents that do not come out. And thrifting where I live is all just synthetic junk clothing anyways and yet quite costly. The prices of second hand clothes has also gone way, way up. So not worth it. Sorry, Iâm just frustrated.
ugh you have NO IDEA how much power you give me when you say that you are giving me permission to opt out, giving me permission to listen to the little voice that says it doesnât have to be this way. seriously not to get sappy, but i truly feel so heard and understood, itâs making me tear up a bit đ„Č â„ïž
This is so sweet, thank you!
