Best bike ever made. Power on tap, comfortable, i thru a set of engine cages on it so i can kick my legs up. This bike does everything. She handles like a dream. Did 1300 miles over a week. Not a hiccup from the old girl, 6 hours of heavy rain didnt even make her stutter. I love my 2001 FZ1!

I got a 2003 FZ1 and rode it accross Canada this past summer. It's a magic carpet man! Comfortable and powerful, the brakes make me giggle, they are a match for the engine. The best bargain bike on the market! You are right, she loves to rev!

Hi Don. That's quite a claim. When you say 83,000 miles, is that the original engine? Has the engine been torn apart? What has been done to it? New timing chain? Can you please list all the repairs you've had to do? I know that bikes "should" easily last that long, but the way people use motorcycles, they don't typically last that long without getting damaged or neglected. What kind of engine oil did you use? What oil change intervals? Did you need to replace the chain and sprockets?

I have a 2003 bumblebee! Put a Ivan's jet kit on it.Took out the flat spot in the throttle and put on a yoshimura tri oval slip on exhaust.I live in California..I have been in the states all west of the Rockies, and been comfortable for all day riding. Put on some nylon saddle bags,tail trunk and tank bag and good for all week. I have 50,000 miles on it and have owned lots of bikes. At 62 years old I can act like a hooligan and ride with the gold wings and leave them in the canyons..I ABSOLUTELY LIVE THIS BIKE! FIRST OWNER AND KEEPING IT!
I bought an 02 with 23,000 miles new tires, chain, sprockets, fork seals, spark plugs and the seat redone for $3000. What a great deal. Feels like a new bike (on steroids!) awesome!!!
I have an '03 FZ (Bumble Bee) and it is the best bike I have ever owned (over 20 owned) and it has 130,000 trouble free miles. I also have a 2017 Fj-09, and the jury is still out as to which is a better bike. The FZ is box stock except for replacement HyperPro springs, a Corbin seat and the normal maintenance items like chains and sprockets, fork seals, brake pads and replacement rotors. Absolutely free from problems and the top end remains in spec at this mileage. If you can find one of these with low mileage that hasn't been messed with, you will be rewarded. It goes like hell when you get the revs up, but it is completely usable at any speed. I have traveled all over the West on this bike. Cycle World did an "homage" a few months ago on this bike that recognized one of the best bikes of the past twenty years.

Do you think the fj-09 is a good replacement for the fz? It seems like (with the exception of engine configuration) the fj/Tracer is the closest modern Yamaha to fz1. Is there anything the fj-09 is better or worse at?
I owned a 2003 black/yellow (fastest color) and a 2005 blue. The bike does 80mph in first gear without complaining. The day I bought the 2003 I took it on a stretch of flat, straight Florida highway at night. It was barren. I was itchy. I topped it out like it wanted to go faster but just stayed there... At 153mph! I remember swaying back and forth from lane to lane at that speed thinking, 'Holy shit! She's so smooth!.' Right now I own a 2011 Ninja 1000, but honestly, the FZ-1 is more fun and got 45mpg, CARBURETED! The valve adjustment and carb sync are reasonable price wise. A lot of owners love working on this bike themselves because it's an easy bike to tear down and work on. NUMEROUS CZcams instructional videos and an FZ FORUM. I rode with a couple of the forum online bike groups in Florida back then and I'm sure they're still going strong. You can't go wrong with this bike. There are hard bag solutions for it as well. Corbin made bags for the bike!. I had the stock seat and it was just fine for a few tanks of gas a day riding. Anyone thinking about it should just do it. When they went to fuel injection the body style changed. Not a fan. Shorter wheelbase, 2 piece seat (way less comfy), you feel more cramped on it, and supposedly the fuel mapping wasn't that great. My carbureted model was smooth, and quiet with stock exhaust. Can you tell I owned one yet? I have a chance to get a 2003 blue FZ-1 with 6,600 miles on it and I'm tempted to pull the trigger. They go for like $2,400 so that's, to me, the sleeper best buy in the dealership's lot.
I just bought one with 15,000 miles. I'll be spending the winter going over the bike. This bike is a jem. Comfort, torque, good MPG and great handling. It's a better bike than I am rider. As a 27 year old rider it truly has the character of a forever bike.

Coming from a CBR1000RR I thought this bike wouldn't handle as well. Boy was I wrong. Previous owner did swap out the rear shock and upgraded the fork springs, but my God it handles great. Got some rear sets but has the upright riding position so best of both worlds. Can corner low but ride all day in comfort. Have the Ivan's jet kit and aftermarket slip on. This thing flys. Absolutely brutal acceleration. Best bike I've ever owned and like it more than my previous Honda, which I NEVER thought would happen. Super cheap to buy used. And they're pretty much indestructible.
2004 fz1- Although I'm an experienced rider, my fz is always capable of pushing my caution button. Fast and capable, good fuel economy too, another great Yamaha machine
I bought my 2001 FZ1 in 2004. I still have it. I have it set up for sport touring. I built my own tail luggage rack. I run a set of Nelson Riggs tail bag and saddle bags. I also run a good magnetic tank bag. When I lived in Nebraska, I rode to the Black Hills South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and Kansas. Another trip from South East Nebraska to Phoenix Arizona in two days. I shaved the seat for a more comfortable ride long term. My last trip I changed the gearing up on on the front and down one on the back. I have done 600 mile days on this bike.
I have a 2001 FZ1 I bought it with 70K miles on it. Yes that’s 70K miles one it. I was told the dude that had it before me was a motorcycle mechanic and he road the bike in endurance races but let me tell you this bike is FLAWLESS!! Super fast and starts up every time. My previous bike was a 06 ZZR600 and my FZ1 is ALOT faster!! AWESOME BIKE!!!

Flew from PA to SC to buy an 03 FZ1 sight unseen. Was not disappointed, bike was flawless. From SC I rode up to VA, met my buddies then went on a 2400mi road trip! What a fantastic bike for touring. I'm a big guy at 6'7" & 340lbs and I honestly think this is more comfortable or at least just as comfortable as my 2012 Kawasaki Concours.
I have a 2006 FZ6 and tomorrow I'll cross over 30,000 miles with no major problems at all. Knock on wood. I'd trust to ride it anywhere. FZ1 is probably going to come eventually.
Miko , I had a 2008 FZ6, bought used with approx 5 k miles, traded it 3 years later @ 30 k mikes for a 2009 FZ1, I miss the 06 at times and the longer range on a tank of fuel however the power and ride of the FZ1 makes me smile like a fool every time I ride her. I got a great deal on the FZ1, bought with only 1850 miles and now almost 2 years later , it has almost 9k miles.
I used to think the FZ6 was fast enough, it was , however the FZ1 screams and pulls the front wheel off the ground without trying when turning that throttle.
With 5 years experience & almost 40 k miles under my belt I can honestly say I love my FZ1 and don’t see myself trading her anytime soon. She fills all the roles I ask of her.
check the generator rotor, they throw the magnets into the engine.
I have 01 FZ1 with about 45, 000 miles on it. I bought it with 22,000 miles 6 years ago. I did the full Ivans jet kit a few years back. Clipped the slide springs about a 1/4 of an inch. Added a full flow through exhaust can and downpipe. The throttle is very sensitive. And the bike is a rocket now. It even improved the gas mileage. On a normal cruise if I am averaging 60-70mph I will get about 47MPG on regular gas ( recommended) I upgraded the brake pads to metallic as the OEM organics are a little vague. And the front brake rotors are a bit small. Also installed braided lines and improved the dogbones for better ride height. Took off the shovel fender on the rear and installed a fender eliminator. Installed a 190/50 tire to fatten out the back with the addition of a fender elimination kit. Added LED turn signals and bulbs. The downside to the Gen 1 bikes is the lack of accessory capacity of the charging system. It is not an alternator, but a magneto that sends the excess to ground. It's only 360 or so watts. Overloading the charging system can result in the 6-way connector under the tank to melt. When this happens your riding day is over till you fix it. The gearbox is pretty decent. But second gear is a long throw and till you get used to it, you may end up in neutral a lot. Ignition switches have been known to leave you stranded with dirty connections inside. I spray my ignition switch with contact cleaner every month. All in all, I like this bike and plan to keep it for a long time. With regular maintenance, this bike should last you well over 100,000 miles.
Did the Ivan's jet kit boost your power?
@@willyd4850 I have the Ivan's jet kit on mine. Apparently that with an exhaust should give you an extra 15hp. But it's the throttle response that makes this jet kit so great. Immediate power all the way to redline. It screams now. Power wheelies easily if you know how to control it. The best mod you can do for this bike. Then upgrade the suspension. I test rode the second generation because of the fuel injection and aluminum frame. I like this one better with the mods I mentioned. Bullet proof reliability and cheap to buy for the performance you get.

@@willyd4850 Yeah, most bikes are lean from the factory due to emissions standards. Ivan's kit eliminates the slow off throttle response. It starts better, idles better and adds a nice amount of power. I was lucky enough that the previous owner actually had Ivan himself install it. I'm from NY so we were close to his shop. He did the exhaust and vacuum sync as well.

I just bought a 2009 FZ1 with only 6500 miles. It's an absolute blast, love it. I think it's more leaned over than the older one your riding. I rode it two and a half hours across FL. It is great, it's fast and comfortable. It sits at 80mph like it's nothing. Coming from a 650lbs vtx 1300 the weight is nothing...lol. It's so light compared and I think it's quite nimble. I actually like that the power is very smooth and doesn't hit you with instant torque and I never feel like I am got to pop an instant wheelie. And yeah hwy cruising at 100 is nothing for this bike. I don't even realize how fast I am going. So yeah I love my FZ1

So far I love the ease of slow speeds in town and the quick acceleration in higher gears from slower speeds. I’d mention the crazy acceleration at high rpms but everyone already knows about that, redlines at 12000…

Love my 1st gen FZ1. With mods it pushes just over 151 hp at the wheel at 4500' ASL. Rear suspension out of an R6 and different springs in the forks and it handles amazingly well. 80k miles on the original rings and still strong. Great bike and I've had a few that came and went, but this one stays.

I've had a 2015 gen2 Fz1 as my only form of transportation for the past three years. (Last year of the Fz1). Just rolled over 46,000 miles, bought it brand new off the showroom floor. It's been a hell of a bike. Does everything a sport bike does, and still gets you home at the end of the day. Put at the minimum 50-90 miles on it a day.
That was me back in the late 90s. The only thing I hated was riding in the rain at night. That sucked arse. My bike was a 1983 KZ 550 Spectre.
I have a 2002 FZ1 with 8k miles on it. I am the second owner. Bought it with 1000 miles on it back in 2005. Mainly have ridden it around town on weekends. Also own Suzuki C90 cruiser. Here in Sarasota Florida we don't have any mountains or hills to speak of, but riding it out by the beach is fun. Just wish it wasn't so hot and humid. Can be draining during the summer when heat index it over 100 degrees. Bike is totally stock except for zero gravity shield. One of the cleanest bikes around. Still looks brand new.
Don't say that the bike can't get off the line. You just can't operate the clutch properly. It wasn't the bike's fault, it was yours.
I picked up a 2005 Fz1 with 2800 miles on it! Bike looks like it drove out of a time warp. has the full fairings, carbs have been jetted and it is a blast to drive. I have owned many bikes and this bike is by far the most comfortable.
This review didn't give a inkling of justice to the performance capabilities of this bike. You have to look around to see videos of real riders pushing this bike. This guy is bound by insurance and other reasons for not lighting this bike up! You can cruise around on any bike...but this bike has ability if you actually turn the throttle with intent.
I own four motorcycles, a 1300fjr, ZX14, FZ1000 (04) and a CB750 Super Sport. I am currently installing another engine in my FZ1. It is my "Swiss Army Knife" and my absolute favorite hands down. Stop and go, metro savvy and a BEAST when l want to attack the twisties or hit the freeway.
I just picked up a 2003 fz1 in yellow/black with 3k original miles for the low low price of $1200. Bike is in showroom shape and just came out of a 10 year storage at a collector car storage facility. Did some basic maintanance but didnt touch the carbs and it still started up and runs/rides awesome. Place must have stored it properly. I'll still end up pulling the carbs soon to have the Ivan's jet kit done and the float bowl gaskets are just starting to let a little gas seap out but that's to be expected for rubber parts sitting all this time. Bike is all stock aside from a great sounding two brothers exhaust and have a set of oes extended frame sliders on the way.
Realistically these make in the low 120's for rwhp but can make it into the upper 130's with some mods and well sorted carbs. Some guys have pushed further. But the bike weighs just a little over 500lbs and feels great. Suspension can be adjusted in many ways to suit different weight riders and riding styles. Cant wait to put more miles on it this summer. Yamaha hit the nail on the head with the gen 1 fz1 that's for sure.
Happy New Year (2024)! I bought a 2003 FZ100r-s on the 30th of December. A homecoming is exactly right. The sound, the acceleration, the carb power vs the injected power, and the grounded feeling of sitting on horses ready to explode but holding them back. I went to the gym yesterday and felt the results from letting the horses fly a few times! I can see this bike very well could be with me for a long time.
My nephew had the same bike. We went on a trip two years ago from Iowa up to Lake Superior and back through Wisconsin and back home. I rode my zx14 and he honestly did better on the fz1 than I did. Great bike

I have an’02 with 53k on clock. I work at a dealership that sells everything. I get to service and ride them all! There is nothing out there that wants me to replace my FZ! I’m old school (59 y young). Ride with young guys, I leave them in my dust!! Gonna see her to 100 k!

Chris Johnson I just bought an 03 fz1 with 41k miles on it, if I take care of it and don’t ride it like an idiot should it last me a while? Any tips you got for a newbie? I am used to dirtbikes just tearing them up all day and rebuilding. This is my first street bike and I want it to last I suppose

Love the fz bikes. My old 05 600 was so much fun here in the ozark mountains but the raw power I found during the test ride of my 07 fz1 won me over. In hindsight I do sometimes miss my 600, it was such a well rounded package.

I have a 2003 Black and Yellow FZ1S that used to be my dad’s. He bought it brand new off the showroom floor, he took it from southern Arkansas to Hershey, PA and back. I’ve owned it for about 3 years now, it’s got almost 40k on the odometer. I ride to West Plains MO at least twice a year from southern Arkansas. It still runs as well as it did when it was brand new. The iconic Yamaha 4 cylinder sound will never get old to me, especially of the Genesis 20 valve
My dad has an 04 FZ1 that he bought brand new. Got it up to 177 mph out in Death Valley racing a couple CBR600s and he beat them so bad they cpuldnt believe the bike was stock.
Now that hes older i ride it more often than him nowadays. Idk why people dont wver talk about how wicked quick and fast this bike is...the bike is now 19 years old and will beat any 600cc bike and even hangs with newer 1000s until the new bikes typically beat it on the top end.

I got my 2001 FZ1 as soon as I sold my Ninja650 almost a month ago. I've owned two 400cc inline fours before upgrading to the Ninja and I'm glad to be back on an inline four . So much smoother and the sound.. just godly

Rocking a 2002 fz1 and just sold an identical 01 lol great bikes very heavy to push around without weight reduction, but feels like a dirt bike once done. Very fast, very capable, sitting currently with 35k miles and was going to sell for a new gen 2 but have now decided to keep this bike.
I have a 2001 fz1 I love the bike it’s awesome how they called it the fazer when they marketed it they are fun bikes that can be perfect for long journeys 🤘

I have the newer fuel injected version of this bike. Bought in 2010. It's great for local rides but also long distance. Surprisingly comfortable as well. I take you're point re weight, I find it heavy to push around but that is more about me as I am 65 and not as fit as I was. However, as soon as she is on the move she is great to ride and is surprisingly quick, well she has shocked a few younger sports bike riders occasionally!
This bike look a lot like my naked Bandit 1200 2006. 4cyl carburated. Love this bike
I had a nearly identical 2002 model that I sold for a first gen ZX14 in 2007. Loved the ZX, but to this day, I regret selling that FZ1!
Im 58 years old and took my 2002 FZ1 from Saratoga NY to Tazwel Virginia to ride the Back of the Dragon. 2100 miles and the bike performed flawlessly

I’ve had mine for a year now, 2002 fz1 put over 5k miles on it now. It’s top heavy but it’s a beast. Very fast as my first bike but it’s not a rr for sure. Super super comfy bike 5’10 rider. Leans wondeful straight lines better (obv) bare bones bike no bells and whistles but it enhances the experience and thrill of the ride. I can bounce back and forth full lean at low speeds and be super comfy. Love the bike I’ve got nothin bad to say about it

I got mine it's an 02 62k on the odo with a stack of maintenance records. $1500 usd. Spent more on new gear. It's a blast. 3rd gear power is almost unreasonable. Would recommend!
I bought a 2002 FZ1 from an Insuance company back in 2005, fixed it up all for around $2k. Rode several long trips including Iowa to San Diego. The bike is a stupid cheap and reliable all rounder for me. I certainly was looking longingly at cruisers and more fully faired sport tourers on long trips but unless I get multiple bikes I don’t see getting rid of it any time soon.
I have an 04 FZ1 I bought new. I did a lot of research then and found it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted an all day rider and it is just that. My daughters love to go on all day rides with me. Its fun, its fast, comfortable and I get around 42 miles a gallon with a large 5 plus gallon gas tank I can tour all day. I did some up grades, a larger wind screen ( big improvement ) lower fairing, may or may not help air flow or gas mileage but I like the look, A Corbin seat with back rest. Stock seat was lacking in the comfort area. I live in Scranton area of PA. I am now 61 and still loving the bike its a great bike to ride if you can find one. Have fun
I've had mine for 17 years because I'm still waiting for someone to come out with a better motorcycle.
I had the 03 "Bumblebee". It was a fantastic all rounder! It was not light, but as long as you understand countersteer it handled well. It was comfy and quick even two up. My wife would smack my helmet because I was doing ???mph. It was stable enough that when I hit a puddle of oil in heavy traffic I was still able to keep the shiny side up! A testimony to the quality of the bike not my skill.
You are absolutely right about that bike. The 2001 FZ1 is a totally fantastic motorcycle.
took my 2002 FZ01 from Oakland CA to Albuquerque with full touring hard bags and no problem at all. wonderful bike all around, I've had it for 12 years and plan to ride it until the end my days on the road. great touring bike with the only issue being poor gas mileage and short tank-range. even so, fun fun fun all the way. excellent breaking, suspension, handling, accelaration and comfort. best all around utility bike for the money by far. added a carb kit plus pipe, and it's even better. well worth the money, just be sure to either use alcohol free gas or dry-gas additives to prevent carb damage from the water issue.
I'm the owner of the fz6r and it is actually almost 50lbs heavier than the fz1! But I've been having fun on it. I tried a friend fz09 and to be honest I like the heaviness of my 600. It feels so much smoother through wind etc. Switching to a fz1 now, I think I won't be disappointed. Fzs are awesome bikes!
What about valve adjustments? Looking at a ‘02 w/27K on it ( and a Remus exhaust ) tomorrow.

I own a gen2 08 fz1 and it's been one of my favorite bikes to own, I've got a full exhaust with a cat delete and a ivans ecu flash and it really woke the bike up, in stock form it's fast but after the ecu flash it definitely performs better.

I ride a 2005 fz1 Daily I have put the last 30k on the 45k motor and shes still purring I absolutley love my bike a true bullet when you want her to be!!!

Sport tourer? I bought an 03 bumble bee and hit the top 10 best motorcycle roads in the USA last year. Did deals gap, blue ridge cherohalla in June and then took a month off in September crossed the country hit the best roads in co, Utah, Arizona, Death Valley, California, Oregon, Washington, lolo pass idaho, Montana, Wyoming, did pikes Peak million dollar highway bear tooth pass skyline drive the dragon the cheraholla skyway, blueridhe, Highway 12 & 9 Utah going to the sun , hwy 1/ Pacific coast highway, did the iron butt from Colorado to Tennessee! 10,000 miles in the first year and did all those states and roads and that’s not even all. My first year owning the fz1 I have fallen in love

My 2002 FZ1 ( in my pic) has Jet Kits, chain and sprocket 15t/45t, SC exhaust, handle bar, racing clutch, All black engine block and headers…I LOVE MY FZ1.. Power wheelie in 3rd if I really wanted too!! My first bike but Honestly it’s a Beast!!! 💯🏆💪🏽 Team Yamaha
I have a 2005 FZ1 that I picked up for $700, mixing oil and coolant, had to rebuild the oil water pump. Seems like an achilles heel for these bikes. But after the repair runs like a champ. The new FZ series bikes are cool, but I prefer the sound of an inline 4 to that of a 2 or 3 cylinder. I'll be keeping my FZ1 for a while.
Just got a FZ1 yesterday 2003 15k miles anything I should look forward too on the bike? It’s lowered into a sport position with the handle bars but man it feels amazing

Can the headlight be swap for a angel eye round headlight easily?
I lived in a small town that had a small shop. Each year, the owner would do a group ride and take us all out to a small eatery. We would have a BBQ with hamburgers, corn and salad. It was for customers who were invited to ride. Let me tell you, he gained some real loyal customers because of his "giving back" to his customers. Now, SRK sells bikes so you usually don't have repeat customers that live near your shop so it might be difficult to have a "customer appreciation" ride/BBQ.... Good idea, but implementing a ride/BBQ is going to be difficult.... BTW, we would have about 50 or more customers go on the ride and the BBQ place charged him $8 a plate ($400 is a cheap marketing plan).....

I have an an 01 fz1 about 40k and ride all over the black hills it loves the Twisties and the long trips but one thing weird is that when I am warming it up before a ride and the fan kicks ona couple min of it running and as soon as I put it in gear it turns off ???? Anybody's esle do this it has plenty of antifreeze and water pump are working as it should
Pull the forks up through the yokes by about 5mm to speed steepen the head angle a smidge and you'll have somethign that turns in sweetly for the roads. Mine's clocked in at 54k miles, having had her since 35k. It needed a replacement engine when the thermostat and water pump went, as well as new forks (re stanchion due to agressive pitting from UK winters). It's a solid performer and very comfortable. My only gripe is that there isn't much by way of aftermarket rearsets or footpegs. I've got a lingering issue with my feet (plantar fasciitis), meaning that I'd like the footpegs to be slightly higher up to allow my arch to be under tension.
200+ mile tank range and lovely midrange vs my 07 R1 makes it very purposeful for the road. Was planning to chop and change for a VFR800 Vtec or a 765R/RS, but was strongly advised to keep hold of her, if not for her useability and practicality
HELL YES love my fz1 had an 01 first now have an 02 and and might I add mines coming up on 40k miles and I've been learning how to stunt on it. She runs great even still I've been building her up she's got aftermarket levers pegs exhaust I put protaper bars on her and even its more comfortable for taller people like myself she's got a stunt cage on her and like I said she runs AWESOME and still super comfy love my fz1 awesome bike awesome video man thank you

02 fz1 modded, 80k miles, raced quarter mile 80 times one summer, rode all over the u.s. With correct mods and the right rider these bikes run great and don't disappoint, suspension and Ivan's kit a must for the spirited rider, I've owned a fair share of bikes and these are the best bang for the buck ever for a liter bike

I have a 01 FZN 1000 with 31k that runs strong and very fast. It had been wrecked when I bought it but over all nothing major I love this bike.
looking at an 05 fz1 for my first bike offering 2500 with 14k miles on it
I just recently got an 05 FZ1 with a short exhaust and I had the ECU flashed, but it still has hardbags lol I love the bike it's got 20k miles on it. I used the have an fz6 before i got the FZ1 and loved it

How was the Transition?
@@ryanfranke251 great, the FZ1 only weighs about 20 lbs more than the fz6, so not much of a difference with almost double the power(in my case) but cornering is much more comfortable in the FZ1 because it has longer handlebars which gives you more leverage I the turns. Overall I would the FZ1 any day but I lived both bikes.
Flashing the ECU on a 2005? she's still has carbs so I don't know why you would be flashing it.

Pre 06 FZ1 is the one to have... 06 and 07 2nd gen models are known for nasty frame weld defects from the factory that like to snap in half with a good jolt.
I have a 2001 FZ1. Bike was wrecked when fairly new so the speedometer has been replaced but it's around 30,000 miles. Has ivans jet kit, R6 rear spring, aftermarket seat, aftermarket tail, aftermarket carbon fiber dash, LED replacement display for the gas gauge, all bar ends, foot pegs, devil exhaust, stainless brake lines, steering stabilizer, etc.... Just about everything aftermarket made for this bike is on it over 4k in aftermarket parts. The bike has ran flawlessly. only downside to these bikes is they aren't worth much, which can be an upside if you're looking to buy one. Another negative is the side cases and top case are extremely expensive for it.

I know I am very late to this video but I bought a 2002 fz1 for my first motorcycle about 2 months ago and it's stupid fast...I did not expect that from an older bike that wasn't really a crotch rocket or street bike but I bought it for $1100 which still blows my mind because it's still in great condition. As a beginner I definitely notice the weight on the bike...anyways that's a great review
