- I know many of you are waiting for my movie, and it will still be a while as you can see I'm still playing the game, but I wanted to upload a short video showing off the improved parkour in ACU. This is easily my favorite gameplay improvement. I also particularly love the city and the graphics.

It only took 5-7 years for other people to realize this is a good game. AC wasn't very well received at the time due to the series becoming repetitive but this one stands the test of time
2014: parkour suck, so unrealistic

Parkour animations in this game is amazing, just one problem
And that problem is how Arno could jump further and faster even when he moved slower before

If it was jumping in zero gravity he would never come down instead say jumping in venus gravity because alot of Parkour experts can jump very far so venus being almost as big as earth has a bit less gravity so he would go quite a bit far
+wing nn Parkour is finding the most direct way to get from point A to point B. Free running uses many of the same techniques but doesn't really have a goal like parkour.
Ur totally right parkour as u said is to get from point a to point b but free running is getting from point a to point b with showing off ( flips... )

templars and using sword skills, like this video you made of you just free roaming and exploring the city. Now could you make one of you just fighting and showing off some weapons we dont normally see in the previous games. :]
When I saw the other movies people made. They put all the contents thats usually in the game, in the movie. Like the character's HP bar, the map, and subtitles that not even nessassary for a movie. PLZ :( dont make your movie new upcoming movies like theirs. keep up how u made your first movies, by making it like a real movie without the unnessassary details put to it.

Idc what you guys say, ive played all of them and this is my favorite too. None of the other ones had the amount of customization and complete badassery as this game. The freerunning and stealth was a little janky and the story wasnt amazing but i feel like if they fixed it a bit, it would be one of the best games in the franchise.

The parkour in this game is the best parkour in all of the AC games
No assasin's creed 1,2,brotherhood,revelations,3,4 are the best parkour in the game so far unity and syndicates parkour is unrealistic i don't know for rouge tho.

You kidding me? The parkour in Unity and Syndicate is much more realistic. Arno and Jacob/Evie use moves that utilise their environment. Which is what you need to do in parkour.

Unity’s graphics and parkour were seriously unparalleled. It’s such a shame that the story was lacking and the game came out so glitchy.

for me, Unity had the best free roam and parkour animations, looked natural the most
Do people really give a shit about frame rate and graphics? For one: the graphics are incredible. The kind of graphics I've always wanted out of an AC game. And second: does frame rate really, honestly matter to people? I've played some games with frame rate that's low as 10fps and it didn't matter. Aside from the glitches when the game came out, it runs so smoothly. It's just a great game and people need to lower they're expectations and enjoy it for what a truly great game it is.
+crazylegomanboy When it drops to about 20fps it can hurt the experience. Not only is is jerky to watch, but at frame rates that low, it does making playing the game more frustrating, as you don't get a quick enough response time on the controls.
+Andy Gilleand I see your point and maybe it happens more often to you but I've only had it drop once or twice to 20fps for me. It was a sucky 30 seconds of gameplay but I can easily set that aside to see its a great game.
+crazylegomanboy Oh Unity's frame rate is mostly fine now, aside from a few cutscenes, but when it launched it dropped down to 20fps quite a lot.

Unity is now mostly a solid 30fps, with occasional drops to 25fps.

one thing I understood after playing UNITY and SYNDICATE . Ubisoft games are meant for consoles not for pc bcz they don't no how to run the game in pc

***** Ask anyone u want ubisoft games aren't optimised correctly for pc . Games like GTA 5 I GET around 80fps in 1080 but games like unity, Syndicate I get 45-50 fps

GTA 5 doesn't have brilliant graphics tbh. I have a shit PC but can get good fps on GTA 5. GTA 4 has better graphics and physics.

@Mahanbn Parkour in the ac games is pretty much boiled down to hold button to go up, hold button to go down. Should take points from dying light, where you actually manually jump and climb onto things. Pressing a button to fall to the ground doesnt count as an extra control option
@Mahanbn i wasnt counting movement keys, especially since most of the directions in the parkour is just holding forward/up anyway. I meant the triggers and a/b.
Holding down multiple buttons is the same as holding one as far as im concerned. And yeah you had to press jump here and there to climb up a bigger gap or occasionally actually jump from one piece to another, but its always been fairly barebones. It was just one of the first games to do it and the locations kept it interesting enough to still be fun for a bit. But after playing other games with decent parkour, ac just feels like complete ass in that department. So slow and limited.
@Mahanbn The ac games have such a strict definition of a jump function, if they even have it at all beyond a contextual move, that i cannot recall for the life of me ever accidentally jumping off of something or making a wrong leap on a wall and getting punished for it. The parkour in all of those games feels restrictive to me, not just the rpgs. I remember trying to replay black flag and i had the epiphany that these games, despite being about parkouring, control and weigh like a hippo in molasses when youre trying to be agile.
What? Unity and syndicate were the exact ganes that introduced the more scaled back free running, aka hold a to free run up,n hold b to free down.
Fuck the gravity in this game man...

Pisses me off everyone is talkin about how "Unrealistically he moves" I'll take suspension of disbelief for the sake of the best movement in AC. Hands down. havent tried syndicate but Ac3 and 4 improved the formula but unity. pardon the pun but revolutionized it it wasnt the best game and was pretty dissapointing yes. but still a solid gorgeous game with great controls. and maybe the stealth is kinda booty but its the same in all AC games stealth is more of a forethought but regardless the game is fine once you get the hang of it. It was alienating going from revelations to this but going back makes me realize how bad Ezio used to control. A bitch to get off buildings. i remember just jumping off most times. Ezio would run up walls like 17 times and didnt turn around for shit and the combat while I wouldnt say excellent its at least better than the slaughter fest Assassins creed became after Assassins creed 2. Like for once you're an assassin not a super badass never be touched killing 300 men in one battle warrior that you were prior to unity now should they outnumber you that bad you could still die regardless of level. Moral of the story Unity is not as fucking bad everyone says it is. pretty damn refreshing to me at least once you get past the faults
