- Thanks for watching again. I hear a lot of people criticising Kirk's guitar playing ability but these solos are exceptional, as good or better than most I hear today. I really liked his Egyptian phrasing on songs like Eye of the Beholder & Blackened. Shortest Straw is the hardest one for me with a whole Van Halen vibe. This is the album that converted me to metal, take care and hope you enjoy the tribute medley.
As always, recorded through garageband using Amplitube Custom Shop and Roland FA-66 interface. Edited in Premiere CS6. Anyone wanting presets or questions answered feel free to email me Lambchopper678@me.com - Hudba
Kirk made some epic solos on this record
vividpugz James wrote all the solos, but Kirk performed them. But yes I agree, all these solos are pretty epic
Martian Gamer please tell me you’re joking. Don’t be fucking ridiculous. That’s like Dave Mustaine saying he wrote all of Marty Friedman’s so... wait a minute...
Martian Gamer What??? No...
Martian Gamer If James writes the solos then what's the point of having Kirk as a lead guitarist?
vividpugz but they all sound the same
It's good to see that there is still a Metalhead community on CZcams.
Jared Dines, Stevie t, music is win...
Heavy metal is the Law
EmopunkDr dont you mean Breaking the Law? XD
@@EmopunkDr The saw is the law.
@@jakemace7526 I am the law
Kirk's best and melodic solos are in AJFA
Lars' best drumming is in AJFA
James' insane and catchy riffs plus the rough vocals are in AJFA
AJFA IS THE BEST TALLICA ALBUM.
onurfuck
Jason's inaudible bass is on AJFA !!! yes its their best album ever!!!
and hetfields vocals are the best on ajfa
AJFA = The best Metallica album for me
Agree!
Also Jason’s bass tracks are incredible. Too bad you can’t hear them
His neighbors either love him or hate him lol
Love id say
@@PeterJohnson76 only if they don't play guitar. Otherwise they think he sucks and is annoying.
I'd be the guy coming over with my own to play with him!
If I were his neighbour I’d love him 😂
I wish he lived in my garage
That transition from Blackened into Justice. Yes!
Great job dude!!! Tone is also spot on
+Sam Delanoe Thanks mate, appreciated
Sam Delanoe
Steve Walther yes..?
Sam hi
The transition was awesome 🤘🤘
Can't believe you played all of this with no pause.
he clearly did pauses
EET FUK i think he meant in one take
stamina ===> training
@Allyson Araujo Exactly like sport fucking! And if i practiced guitar as much as I did fucking... i would be awesome too! ;)
No kidding, the amount of practice this would take is unbelievable!
Kirks solos on this album were outstanding. Well phrased and very dynamic. Fuck haters.
Jonathan Burton I think every album he has done has outstanding solos. Who doesn't like the unforgiven, the god that failed, master of puppets, orion, damage inc, leper messiah, disposable heroes, call of ktulu, creeping death, fade to black, fight fire with fire, ride the lightning, seek and destroy, whiplash, no remorse, motorbreath and ofc afja
Jonathan Burton Kirk was being taught by Joe Satriani around this time. There's an article where Joe taught him right before metallica and then gave him some pointers around mid 80's. You can tell in his playing.
Actually kirk took one lesson from him, that's it.
Satriani makes it sound as if it was more than one lesson:
www.guitarworld.com/artist-news/joe-satriani-recalls-his-student-metallicas-kirk-hammett-he-was-very-eager-learn/30015
there were the odd error, but what's most frustrating is seeing this people commenting saying 'oh my god its so sloppy, he'll never get better if we don't tell him' I'm sure he doesn't play guitar as his day job and if he does he probs shouldn't be on CZcams. Does it matter if there's the odd mistake in a 1 take medley of some seriously tough solos, he's just playing metallica and enjoying himself and wants to express it with people. How about you all do and medley and see how you do? losers with nothing better to do unfortunately. Great job man you rock!
Kirk has amazing composition
I think Eye of the Beholder is his most composed solo on this album.
austin cutty era
mareeeekk imho it just sounds fancy cuz its based of an eastern sounding scale, probs phrygian dominant but idk cuz im a dumbass, but still a good solo
Best solo of justice is one
@@tyr389 It's the easiest. Dyers Eve has a part of it, but played faster and 5x times longer and harder parts.
IMO, Shortest Straw is the best unique solo in this album as you can see that so different than others and underrated than others..
Love that transition from Blackened to Justice at 1:09!
Exactly, it was my favorite transition haha \m/
I literally didn’t noticed it has transitioned into Justice until a while later
The shortest straw solo is totally van Halen influenced haha I never really noticed that. Cool shot man
Eruption.
Holy shit you're totally right
Holy shit!!!!
I've always thought Hammett was exceptionally sharp and precise and maintained that consistency live. As a Megadeth fan, Dave's recent guitar efforts make me cringe. The countdown to extinction live dvd is really hard to watch because of this.
I go back to Blood In The Water, watching him rip through Washington Is Next and Kick The Chair like it's nothin... what happened D:
Back to Kirk though, The Shortest Straw blew me away the first time I heard it, I remember my "you gotta be kidding me" reaction when he did his little falling down the stairs run. All of Kirks solos are just so HUGE and memorable, Ride the Lightning specifically is up there with The 4 Holy Wars solos and Walk With Me In Hell for me
Daves getting old, he's died once, fell asleep on his hand and was told he would never play again and he's still up there shredding. You can't really bag the guy.
Mazdabater07 And after all of that happened The System Has Failed, United Abominations, and Endgame featured his best and most precise guitar solos. I get it people get old, but Dave's playing seems uninspired and downright lazy now. Not trying to bag on him, I'm a huge fan, it's just how it is =/
I don't think Kirk has done much in terms of composition or developing a memorable solo since the Black album. It might sound biased because I'm a Megadeth fan but I prefer Dave's recent work over Kirk's.
Perhaps because Load and Relod were wrote in such different style compared to their first 5, you have 2 guitars and bass not playing together, but dancing together with their own thing, solos often drowned by the whole song so you can't realy notice what Kirk is doing there
HetfieldAuditore i agree man but The Day That Never Comes' solo is actually really good
But yeah he hasn't made any memorable solos since the Black Album amd the new album just...
I'm a huge Metallica fan but... His solos just ruined some songs for me (manUNkind, Here Comes Revenge, Halo on Fire etc.)
Please do a St. Anger solo medley!!!!!
David Morris it looks like he already has
hahaha
6:39
You're welcome.
There's actually a 'solo' in Some Kind of Monster lol
Theres solos in st anger? I didnt know that.Oh! I remember, this album is bullshit
Watched the whole video just to see if he could handle Dyers Eve. I left impressed.
The intro to the Harvester of Sorrow solo is a prime example of Less is More. It is absolutely badass
This video is exactly why I love ...and justice so much as an album.
The solo's are super!
Great video / performance.
I think "..And Justice For All" was really Kirk Hammet's masterpiece. I like how he went experimental for his solos on this album. Too bad the official album is very badly mixed.. It would've been perfect otherwise. Anyways, you're awesome dude. I wish I could jam with you.
Keven Klayne It's a good mix
Good guitar tone
drums
The only thing that's missing is the bass but I think the guitar tone makes up for the bass
all they had to do really was to low the gain on the guitars bass frequencies and do sidechain with the kick and the bass and it would be really good
They’re remastering Nov. 2nd
No it was definitely Lars's masterpiece.
No KIRK HAMMETT is Not even in the same BALLPARK ..
I grew up with Him In NYC
Yup, this may be the coolest thing ever. Your precision is amazing. That's two comments in one day from someone who's never commented before. Ur good at what u do.
Well thanks very much mate, appreciated
Hey could you please do a video of you showing all your guitars? Thanks
My Horror FestEvil he did
This album was so wild man, the first time I heard this it felt like the essence of what metal is, then I discovered ride the lightning, and I started learning guitar
amazing bro , a megadeth medley would be amazing
yes!! indeed
Awesome! Love …And Justice For All. 🤘😀🤘
Jesus Christ this guy nailed all of that! Holy shit, for almost 30 years I've been air guitaring all of these solos, but this guy's living it. Hahaha awesome!
Damn Kirk was great back then!! Brilliant cover Dude!!
This albums shows their full potential, and sadly their prime.
Yup
Kirk definitely discovered the whammy bar on this album didn't he :D Awesome job fella. Love this album, had bits and pieces of it ripped to cassette when I was a kid then it was the first CD I bought with my own money. I still listen to it now and I think one of the main reasons is the guitar work, outstanding riffs, solos and solos. It's awesome that you have covered the whole album in various forms on CZcams :)
Actually he did found out about whammy bar in this album :)
6 thumbs up for your performance 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely nailed it! People always knock Hammett’s solos, you showcased how awesome he was in the early days.🤟🏼
This album is remembered for it's floyd rose so loud screams. Loved it!
Woah! That Eye of the Beholder solo was Awesome! You should do the Ride the Lightning solo too
Saved me hundreds on a ticket to the show. Thank you 🙏
Back to my youth. Thank you!
My favorite album, and you did it great JUSTICE!!!!
I should go to sleep like 4 h ago, and I still watching metallica solos over and over.. stunning playing!
Insane job man! I really appreciate how good you are at the guitar.
I can't wait to be able to play like you. Fucking awesome being you right now on that guitar! Guitar is definitely one of the best fucking toy a person can have.
this is quite possibly the best video on youtube hands down good job friend
i love that blackened solo so much
That was pretty fucking impressive, played all solos non-stop....metal af🤘🏾
An Immensely insane album that defined metal, thrash & progressive musical compositions & all with meticulously tight precision : unmatched masterpiece IMO :
In tears of lead guitar, i have always found this album to be the best Metallica album.
Kirk just has fantastic solos on this one
Absolutely Brilliant!!! Great work dude!!
thx a lot for remember again Kirk is a what an amazing composer player and musician
the frayed ends of sanity was fucking awesome
Always amazing solos! When I grow up, I want to be like you!
BRAVO my friend!! That kicked ass!! Justice was my first intro to Metallica and I fell in love with it & them! Blackened immediately made me want to learn to play! I don't care what other people say, they are the best in my humble opinion! You played that SH#T to damn near perfection! I'm a student of Hetfield's rhythm right hand! Been playing and trying to get as close as I can to it for going on 30 years! Would love to have the chance to jam 'Tallica tunes with a player of your caliber my friend!!
All the main solos of my favorite Metallica album. Made my day, dude! Thank you. Tone is spot on, as always. Cheers!
Sweet transition from One to Shortest Straw - Over all very impressive man, I tip my hat - Thanks for taking the time to do this - Great to see all these solos back to back and up close from a technique perspective
Excellent work. Kudos!
One solo was a bit weird at first but I couldn't have done it better, especially all in one take. Great job dude
Hammett's attack-feeling-intonation-timming are spot-on man! Nevermind those minor misses here n there, that was a huge effort and you did a brilliant job. Proper tribute to our favorite album ever! Cheers!
So many tapping on AJFA solo. Shortest straw and blackened for me. And the fist lick on ajfa is also awesome. Great job dude
Mad sound amd loved blackened and justice. So cool!
how did I miss this? awesome work!
One thing this shows watching it like that is the total originality of Metallica, nice playing by the way.
How can I give like to this video more than once???
I like how there was enough soloing on this album for a whole Metallica song...
This was absolutely magnificent! The patience it takes to learn all this! When justice got out, I totally fell in love with it and bought a guitar just to play this. Good job on everything "justice" that you've made on your channel, I've seen them all.
amazing covers!
Dude respect the dedication time and skills!! Thank you!
Dude that was amazing great job
these solos are the best ones I can say with all my heart! by the way well played LABMCHOPPER!
I watch a lot of your amp demos and didn’t realize you had this level of shredding chops! Outstanding. Kirk can not play these solos this well and frankly he has no excuse to not practice with the time and money he has, but the fans keep lining up to pay more so I guess he doesn’t have to
Lol guitar solos are nothing compared to tight ass riffs these days 🤣
Kirk’s come up with some of the coolest solos ever written but also written some bad ones that are lame and predictable. I love the guy all the same 🙏🏻
Wow! On FIRE! EPIC! FLAWLESS!
Very nice playing man! Thanks!
Incredible work. Well done.
Man your amazing!!!
It sounds amazing
Your playing inspires me to try as hard as I can at playing the guitar
And the sounding on this is like if dimebag was playing these solos and that sounds like gold!!!! Keep it up man and keep doing covers!!!!!
Awesome job! Great video
Very nicely done! Truly epic 😎
To all the 121 people were that disliked this- I would like to see you do as well or better.
Lamb- you kicked ass

So Great, I really enjoy your playing
OMG unbelievable. Perfect!
Dude, you fire! Respect you forever!
Outstanding, incredible.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
Wow! I’m thoroughly impressed bro! You played all the hard parts!! Great job!
