@Spectacular Spectacular ah more untrue stuff. First off for everyone here, James did not write solos to metallicas songs, he writes most of the riffs and kirk comes in and does solos. Kirk tho made some of metallicas most memorable riffs like chorus riff to master of puppets, enter sandmans riff, creeping deaths bridge, damage inc bridge and more. Also he isnt playing daves solos. If you look at interviews kirk told metallica he wasnt gonna play ear for ear daves solos, he will start them out like dave did and then go on his own and metallica agreed. Why I personally like kirk is because even tho yea he isnt the most technically correct guitarist(which who gives a shit, guitar nerds make playing music sooo boring) he inspired and is a metal innovator, he never boasts about him self even with his credentials and stays down to Earth. Now ofc unlike dave even tho i like him, he makes sure everyoneeee knows who he is and this and that and the third.

I’m not a specialist on guitar but what I know is that the solo only has arpeggios and scales but it still is very good
The intro solo is perfect, he's done better solos than the outro but I'll give it to him he was soloing over a complicated harmony riff.

IDK, I think Friedman was second best to Chris Poland. The guitar tracks with him on it sound SOOO clean, but they are fast and just work with the riffs. Friedman is great, but Polands approach really nailed it.

"Nothing Else Matters" wasn't a Hammett solo; that was Hetfield. And the second solo in "Orion" wasn't either - that was a bass solo from Cliff Burton.

there are also diminished. pentatonic is baby for the one who dont understand it and for the onle who knows only continious pentatonic shreds... pentatonic is the only scale that fits in all genera and it depend on how players play them....

Great covers! But I would've loved to hear the solos for "Trapped Under Ice", "Creeping Death", and "Dyer's Eve". Those are some of Kirk's best solos I think.

This brought me to tears because I haven't played in almost 8 years. Our friend passed away from Cancer and we were all Metallica fans and covered most of their best songs from their first 3 albums. It reminds me of the best times performing infront of our hometown crowd

Rahul Kumar I dont agree. In my opinion,Kirk playing might sound worse because its an old recording. Even though, I have to agree that this guy plays insanely well.
kirks recent live performances, however are much sloppier than this
I cannot lie: they are. I can justify though, that he is pressured by many, and swanthepig has as many tries as he wants to play and record the video to upload it. Kirk can`t. Also Kirk is getting a little old so he is not as good as he was before. But he can for sure shred the guitar better than most of the guitar players in the world, just like this guy.

RFOSRS He was playing at 16 and he was 16 in 2001 and he had probably been playing for 2+ years at the time so well over 10 years.
