It's ironic how the happy ending used to be a cliche but now it feels like a breath of fresh air
it's a cycle, when to much optimism floods people to where they feel like they aren't allowed to be sad happens, they will rebel and make things dark, brooding, and sad. When to much darkness floods people where they feel they aren't allowed to be happy, they will rebel and make things optimistic, happy, and content.

*Cries in Peter Parker.*
To be fair, I don't think it generally suits Batman. His tone and everything feels like his wins like this should be very few and far between. And honestly, I think that's part of why I always love them. Because they're rare. And he always fights so hard to earn them.
I think Superman is way more fitting of a "generally happy" tone. He should hardly ever go dark. Hardly ever be forced to push past his limits, lose sleep, make the hard decisions and sacrifice so much of himself... hardly ever be... broken. And if he ever is, Bruce should probably be the one to pull him back from the abyss. After all, he stared back at it and didn't blink, unlike Owlman lol. And that's his normal, too.
Generally, Superman should be the one to brighten Bruce's life, or try to... and it only works so well because Bruce is so often deep in the darkness.
I mean this is what he wants for too other then protecting gotham
Can…can we let them have this? Please? Can we just, let them have a win? No strings attached, no brutal plot twist, no Pyrrhic victory. Just a pure, wholesome win.

Honestly, Bruce is way more interesting as a character when he learns how to be with the friends and family in his life despite his tragedy rather than the cold, distant, loner that some people seem to prefer him as, imo.
That’s because it’s the logical completion of his character arc. Spider-Man’s would be getting married for good, and becoming hero #1 in his universe.
Its his character arc .hes aloner since he was a kid then with time he learned how to let ppl in to his life
Yeah... I think it's because it's the payoff of his character, y'know? The other side of him that completes the whole.
@@grega3611 See Peter had this until the comic was given to a writer that hated MJ because he legit just hated redheads. A crush he had turned him down hard and ever since then he hated redheads. He admitted to this in an interview. The entire reason for spider-man's reboot was because this guy hated redheads.
Spidey had a wife, a HAPPY marriage. They went through a lot of crap before getting there. Peter had the suit but never wore it anymore. Ben was in NYC as Scarlet Spider, Kain was in NYC doing his thing too. The only time he really used his powers was when he was helping Reed Richards with something in the Baxter building or in a lab owned by Tony Stark. Well, Wayne Family Adventures on Webtoon has a lot of this and isn't a dream. It's clearly it's own continuity.
The LEGO Batman movie is pretty much the closest thing to ever get to Batman and the Bat Family finally earned a happy ending they need, but not deserve.
That movie was awesome.
I was expecting some cheap gags and got a epic creative story instead.

There's some really similar panels at the end of Gotham Adventures, but reversed - Bruce decides to try his hand at making pancakes for the first time for Alfred and the Bat family.

I’m glad that he got to be a part of this. It feels like when you see somebody taking over your shift and get to spend some time with them and I love that.
They often all are... Even if it kinda goes against theme. Also, there's kinda the whole Justice League... but since Bruce is always like, "Gotham is MY city!" I guess it makes sense the League usually doesn't patrol there. Even though it's pretty contradictory that it's HIS city but then he has like 20 adopted family members also patrol it. Like, at that point, why not allow the League if they're nearby? 😒
@@Paradox-es3bl Home field advantage. Why doesn't Superman patrol Star City? Why doesn't the Flash patrol Metropolis? Because those places are the "home bases" of a superhero who knows the terrain and the threats in a way the other League members don't. JLU episode "Flash and Substance" shows this when Flash, Batman, and Orion enter the bad guy bar and Flash gets the Trickster to spill by just talking to him, instead of beating him up like Orion was ready to do.
Also, Batman is the only one able to even lay claim to a city like that since he's the only one without superpowers, meaning his skills are the only ones that are universally teachable. Sure, the others have their own sidekicks, but each one gets their powers in unusual ways, thus keeping the number smaller than Batman's (and Batman is the only one whose rogue gallery, with a few exceptions, is always in the city, so it's kinda necessary). And by having the 20 sidekicks keep the peace at home, this leaves the stronger league members available to respond to bigger threats like Darkseid.
Easily one of the most wholesome Batman moments.
The ending batman truly deserves. You earn it Bruce.

This has to be a trick. Since when does a citizen of Gotham ever catch a break like this?
Either a dream or a hypnosis attempt. It’s humorous in a sad way that these are the only two possibilities.
Y’know Stephanie asked a legit question in the slice of life Wayne Family Adventures comic.
“Why does anyone live in this town?”
when someone suggested they go the movies, but was still under repairs after an attack from either Riddler or Scarecrow.
She had me thinking of Bruce’s ballerina date in the Dark Knight.
“Why would anyone want to raise children in a city like this?”
And then Joker comes in and terrorizes the city.
At a certain point you really got a start questioning the logic of Gotham existing at all. Even the Gotham tv series knew all that crime was absurd and cut off the city from the mainland over how bad the crime was. To the point where Gotham was denied reunification with the rest of the country (since it’s an. 3 island city) until the police department had their own mini war against gangsters and rogues alike to settle the issues.
Seeing Jason happily eat a slice of bacon did it for me
I like to imagine a scenario where Bruce has the chance to meet his parents somehow, and they tell him how proud they are and that he should be happy and that he has made a beautiful family.
Idk Bruce seems to have made some warped self guilt portrait of his parents that are disappointed in him for having peace,so it would be nice if he actually heard what his parents would actually tell him if they saw him now.
Flashpoint allowed his father to send a hand written letter to Bruce through Flash's shenanigans. His father told him that even though he never met him, never got to see him grow, never got to see what he became...he is proud of him, and he has done everything to trade places with him so that he could live again.
It is the closest we will get, and it left Bruce crying and thanking Flash whole heartedly. You even see the note again and again in the background when they show his cave after that for quite a while.
Great now I’m imagining Martha gushing over her grandkids and I’m about to cry as a result…
Somehow I'm seeing Martha Wayne as a stuck-up "society belle" type, constantly nagging Bruce about not having a wife and giving her actual grandchildren.
Bruce: "Dad... Mom's kind of a b**ch, isn't she?"
Thomas: "Why do you think I worked 12-hour shifts in surgical rotation, when I actually owned half of Gotham? Didn't want to go home."
Bruce: "Why did you marry her?"
Thomas: "MY mom badgered me into it."
An orphan finally found his home
There was a comic where Batman had been hit by Scarecrows fear toxin and everybody he loved kept disappearing before his eyes. Bruce's truest fear is being alone. Alone like the night in Crime Alley. The Batfamily and the Justice League are the things that keep him from crossing the line.
I read a what if that started that way, in the end Batman started hunting Scarecrow and Scarecrow was absolutely TERRIFIED of what Bats does when he thinks he is truly alone. Scarecrow took the cannister out of his mask and made it explode to get it into the air around Batman to counter the toxin effect right as bats was about to kill him. The comic ended with Scarecrow warning the other villains in Arkham that going after his family is akin to suicide, he was in a full body cast too heh.
Batman isn't afraid of being alone. He's alone all the time by his choice. He's afraid of his loved ones dying and him being helpless to do anything.

To those that don't know about it yet, there's a webtoon called Batman: Wayne Family Adventures. It's basically a wholesome slice-of-life series about the Batfamily.
The believable thing is that even with all darkest of the dark Twisted stories of trauma and a world gone mad, it is believable that these characters would have a great time given the opportunity to put their guard down. Batman is suffering.. I mean, look it down the dialogue, feels more of looking throw a window a toy that you really like so much, but feel kinda nostalgic by thinking that you have not money enough to pay it, to really be part of the experience, however the single moment of view that wonderful thing gives you hope and joy that contrast and some times overcome the inner sadness you can have.
From Batman to Bat-Dad. Well done Bruce Wayne, Well done.

Alfred would be proud of them getting together like this... but also annoyed that they're wearing their uniforms at the table
Bruce hasn't had a family breakfast this bright and chipper since his parents died.
I hope that DC makes a series or movie where they show the Bat-family living together when they were first formed, maybe at the beginning they get along a bit badly and are forced to live together reluctantly but as the plot progresses they show how their friendship evolves little by little taking care of each other as brothers, supporting each other through thick and thin with their internal problems, it would be a thousand times better than the overexploited rivalry between Batman and the Joker, although I think it is too much to ask, but good.
