I cannot believe that Aamna is peddling anti-India narrative here. I expected much better from her. I thought she was unbiased and objective. I do acknowledge that there are trolls but that doesn't mean you paint the entire country with one brush. How come she never discussed the fact that their own minister called the victory of a cricket match over India as victory of their religion, trolls are on both sides of the border.....sad and disappointed

Please Aamna and Hassan, don't start ranking Pakistani actors. Humari industry choti c hai, bollywood k level ki nahi hai. It doesn't matter where they were sitting and with whom.
You people are sharing 'shehryar's video', you guys are promoting it, I didn't see it anywhere else on social media. I took it as gesture of respect towards the actor he admires and nothing else.

Which part of 'the state is toxic' don't you understand? Are you living under a rock since the last many years? Talk to those Muslim friends of yours and see how they feel in the last 6-7 years, how much fear has been created, people are being attacked and lynched, killed, suppressed because of their minority religious identity. This is the sole agenda of the present government and media. If you are offended by this reality, it is you who is the problem. Pakistani kuch bol dein toh aapko dikkat aur offence feel ho raha hai, but apni society ke haalat dekh lijiye pehle. Just because you are not harmed by the present government and its ideology of hatred doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And I am sure this channel won't lose much if you stop watching.

So insecure about a genuine gesture from an actor to another just because it 'looked' hindu and reduced the person.. well for one - touching someone's feet in hindu culture does mot reduce anyone, it's a sign of respect and dignity for both people involved. Assalamoalaikum. I have been watching something haute for the past two years. This is the first time I am commenting on a video of yours. I have been itching to give feedback regarding the way your videos have been structured lately.....breaking up the video into an intro then a title break and the excruciating plea for subscriptions and likes is, unfortunately, not a welcome addition to your videos. This isn’t even meant in a horrible way, Ahad hasn’t spent that long in the industry, Shehyar has only had hits with PHL and directing the Prince Charming which is recent. But we love to mention them tirelessly and class them as a listers. Yet there people in industry for YEARS actually achieving high money and ratings for the industry but we fail to acknowledge them. Mahira is very good but her movies aren’t great and Sajal is good but is typecast. You have fawad who came back from India and hardly does any work just cameos. So is it classed a lister still if he’s not being recent or working. Ali Zafar, cracked Bollywood and Pakistan but we never mention him on the same level. Correct me if I’m wrong, but touching someone’s feet out of respect is a concept that’s completely from Hinduism right? Even though it’s shirk to bow down for anybody but Allah SWT we still see this happening every now and then when a Muslim meets a larger/older Hindu celebrity. BUT, isn’t Nawazuddin Siddiqui Muslim as well? If so, then what’s the point for Shehryar to do this? The right wing extremism goes beyond India-Pak hostility. The challenge is not to reconcile with this reality or blame posting. The challenge for the subcontinent is how do people go past the hate driven by politics. That's why such platforms where audiences of subcontinent converge into a dialogue have influence. Respect is not given to celebrities just because we are neighbors.
Respect is earned in the film fraternity.
Pakistani movie industry is 100 years behind Bollywood ( the biggest industry in the world) .
You won't get attention and respect their just because you are our neighbors.
Atif aslam worked for so many years to get the respect and recognition he deserves, he doesn't have to beg anyone for attention in India he is well known here.
On another note most of the lollywood celebrities you mentioned are rarely known,In comparison to them Rakhi sawant is more known in Bollywood.
Priyanka chopra had to do small roles in Hollywood to get the recognition she is getting now.
Respect and status doesn't come easy and not everything has a nationalistic point of view, stop painting it that way to be at peace.
Just few mins ago I saw A listed Pakistani celebrities spewing hatred against India, I'm happy our A listed celebrities don't indulge in such shit.
And talking about anti Pakistani movies. When it comes to nationalistic movies in India Pakistan would obviously be portrayed negative because truth be told we are enemies in wars. Even in Pakistani dramas there are anti indians stances.

I am consistently baffled your highly individualised and neo-liberal analysis of any issue related to the Pakistani entertainment industry. It is as if all the issues are for your artists to solve as individuals??? You seem to want to have award ceremonies but you don't want your artists to attend them??? How does that even make sense??? It was also very disappointing to see your platform giving air time to some nobody (not a journalist) who took a private moment involving Shehryar Ji and used it for their 15 minutes of fame. If he had touched someone's feet/knees on stage and people wanted to comment then maybe that's fair enough but this is not what happened. If Shehyar Ji is as you say an 'A listers' of Pakistan, I find it highly disrespectful that you even felt it appropriate to force him to justify himself to you on an international stage. He was so gracious and articulate but it was embarrassing for me to have watched him do it. He simply shouldn't have had to.
An A lister from the UK or US would never have engaged with you if you had done that to them. Imagine, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts justifying anything they do to online show hosts??? It would never happen. The reason Pakistan artists don't act like A listers is because they are not treated like they are!!! Aap log oon ko woh respect or dignity kay saath treat nahi kerte hein. One tiny miss step and your society takes their legs out from under them! It destroys their wow factor and undermines their reputations. Please 🙏, if you can't help your artists, stop hurting them, stop saying they have nothing important to say off camera, stop looking down on them behind their backs. They deserve more respect from you and from all of us as the Pakistani community inland and aboard. Be part of the solution and not the problem.

There was no big Indian celebrity there and those who were there it feels like they were the chief guests and our celebrity are just attending some fan meet. Indian celebrities didn't even bother to click photos with anyone they were behaving like true stars. But I don't know why our celebrities are so obsessed with Indian stars. Even after as Amna said so much happened in recent years. It seems like they are doing just "Chaplosi" for chances again in Bollywood and it feels like they don't have any dignity. Sorry if I sound harsh but you cannot compare Pakistan's actors with Bollywood stars. Being an actor and being a star are two separate things. We have very few superstars- infact Sajal and Mahira and Fawad Khan are probably the only stars in this generation. The kind of people who become household names and recognizable by everyone in the country- with immense star power. Bollywood on the other hand is a huge industry with a *global* following. How can you compare the two........ It's a marvel people other than Mahira and Sajal were even invited because only these have some global recognition..........

There's a reason she is invited to BBC talks or she became the first Loreal ambassador or starred with SRK. As far as Sajal is concerned- she debuted alongside Sridevi in Bollywood and will soon star in a Hollywood film- that will definitely establish her as a star too. Current Pakistani industry hardly makes any movies, what mahira has is call fan power it's not call Superstar.
Superstar is used for people like SRK,Deepika ,Katrina etc etc. They've done immense immense movies.
You can call Old Pakistani actors like Reema ji, meera ji as superstars they've done many films they've represented Pakistan outside as well they rightly deserved to be called as Superstar of Pakistan. But not the current gen actors I'm sorry
I like mahira too , she is very humbled she even liked my comments once. But what I'm saying now is out of physical assessment. Pakistani industry hardly has any representative outside ,plus mahira became more famous outside Pakistan after doing a movie with SRK, all ambassador of Pakistan representative things goes to mahira Only and nobody else because Pakistan don't have any other representatives. Pakistan should have many representatives to represent them in different different fields.
She became ambassador of Pakistan loreal, not of the international loreal. She represented her country and that is good thing.
Sajal does very good acting, she did one movie in Bollywood. The Hollywood movie you're talking about is The director is an Indian director Shekar kapoor.
For you to become a superstar you've to do many movies, and to do movies your local industry should be very big.
After some 5-10 years when Mahira and sajal will do alot of lollywood movies and many things etc that time they can be regarded as superstars, currently it's a no, they hardly have any movies and not much credentials
They get invited or called because they're the only option Lollywood has

Even if films are made in Pakistan- cinema culture is dead. For us drama is everything. Humsafar had a cult following and everyone knows about it- how many people know about the last most successful film in box office? But how many people have heard Mere pass tum ho's name? Amna and Hassan are very fair and honest about their views. To the people who are offended, they must understand that you cannot hold a grudge against someone on their opinion. Cricket is also considered entertainment and it was justified to talk about all this on Haute bites. I hope they get a million fold followers over every Unsubscribed follower because they shouldn't be punished for speaking the truth
