I am 75 and my best pet ever was a rescue ginger I'd named Tang. When we brought home a new baby, Tang jumped on the bed, sniffed the child, curled up beside her and our daughter had a new sister. We were together for 13 years. She has been gone 30 years and I still miss her.

A loved pet never gets forgotten. In my life, there were 5 cats who went over the rainbow and left this world, I never can forget a single one. Actually its only one bengal cat bringing catlife in our house. He is also a special pet. and I will not think to the moment, when his time to leave us will come. Until then, he gets love, food, warm home and far too much attention (I‘m told), but he deserves it.
Saint Gertrude will be waiting with her to reunite you some day.
What a sweet story. I have been I have three cats of our own. They all welcome the foster kittens that we bring to our home. It’s hard being a foster parent because we fall in love with all these cats but we stay strong and they end up in new homes. That way we could foster again. we now have a ginger kitten that my son found in a storm drain On his street. He got the kitten out And called us to pick it up he knew we would save it. We gave him a bath put him to bed after feeding him. Took him to see the Grinch and have his photo taken early December. Needless to say now we have a fourth cat.

They tend to get a little bigger and so there’s more cat to cuddle with. I once thought I liked small cats, but after my big ginger boy I now prefer a big cat. Their big bellies and big paws and big noses are so much fun.

I have several orange maine coon cats, I can totally relate! Not only do they have twice as much energy as all the other cats combined, they also tend to show more affection, they are especially expressive. They can play for days with no end in sight.
But as they are relentless its also quite a challenge to keep them balanced. If you don't have time for them, they can become a bit destructive or look for attention through doing wrong stuff, like playing with the window curtains, scratch the expensive wallpapers, throw/steal things right infront of you
I actually like smaller cats, my cat looks a lot like the cat in this video, but she’s a rare orange female, and so she has smaller face. She’s 15 now.

I have a big orange boy called George. He weighs about 8.5kg and his life motto is 'eat, sleep, repeat'! He is a cuddle bug and I adore him. He is scared of rain and wind, but is the most precious cat I have ever had.
I grew up only having dogs, I never knew once I inherited an Orange kitty it would change my whole opinion on cats. They really are that special. Oscar had to be put down last year after being the family pet for 14 years. We miss him so much.
Same here my daughter wanted one for her sixteenth birthday and I didn’t want it to get lonely so I got the other one 😉 only had her for five years ( heart deformity) my daughter’s still here ten years later but we’ve now seven cats 😂🤣😂

I had a wonderful orange cat for 16 years. He met me at the door every night when I came home from work. He laid especially close to me when I was I'll. He made me laugh every day. He was my soul mate and I will love him till the day I die.
I feel so happy because i found 5 years ago a tiny ginger cat (girl) in the street and now she is my best love.I did not know that orange female cats were so rare.

I rescued a 1 1/2 yr old red tabby with 4 white paws and stomach. He was stunning. 18 years old when he died. Never got ruffled, made friends with felines and humans alike, loved to eat and sleep in the sun, and we were best friends. Such a blessing.

My elderly mother loves feeding and watching the stray cats in her neighborhood. The only one that will let her pet them is an orange goofball named Sam. I’m thankful he brings her so much joy.
Was blessed to have an orange kitty for 2 years. He unfortunately died from UTI but I have never had a more loving, sweet, cuddly, annoying, stubborn and just all around sweetheart cat ever.

I've had several cats. My recent pal was a dropped-off ginger tabby kitty who ended up living rough along the creek on my Wyoming property. We couldn't find an owner... Only a few families live within 10 miles. My sister knew he might not live this winter... It gets 30 below there. I took him home to Utah.. This guy is super sweet, and I gave him a good home. Everybody loves him, so we named him Raymond. Also because it was Raymond Creek where he was found roughing it.

Gingers are THE BEST! Sadly, mine was a feral we took in. He was only 3 but already had FIV and brain cancer. Our Bennie was with us only 5 months, but we made those months the best of his life. He was a very happy cat, even when his illness took over. He loved to cuddle more than he loved food. When he ate, he wanted you to pet him. He also loved when you read to him. Best cat I ever had. I miss him so much. 💔🐈
We took in a stray ginger female that was living in a barn behind our subdivision. We named her Cheez and she is a doll! So affectionate with us and our dog. Great kitteh!🐈
I had an orange cat and named him Poopie (please don't laugh) He was such a mush, a mama's boy. He was very smart, would sit before my big mirror, see his reflection in it as well as the rest of the room behind him reflected, and would turn to check those objects out, then turn back again to the mirror. It's as if he couldn't quite figure it out! He was there for me during one of the darkest times of my life, a real comfort. He'll be dead twenty years in a few months, and I still miss him.
Gingers grow into their environment - our Sid (1986-99) was a tiny pound kitten saved from destruction.
Gracious, affectionate and lusty...he would wake me in the morning by lying on my head. 😊
Living on 5 arces in the bush gave him the opportunity to hunt rabbits - no cat could equal his prowess - and he grew large and powerful enough to take down hares his own size. He loved to eat...he also had jolly rolls of fat that his husky frame carried at speed, seemingly as if they were merely excess fur!

I petted so many cats but I can say that Orange cats are different from the others they have a different personalities Every where I go my orange cat follows me even in the bathroom but I don't let him go inside I just close the door and he will wait for me to come out he will just sit there or lay down on the floor waiting for me he loves to play with me so much and every time I eat he will put his paws in my lap and ask kindly for food what a great cat❤️ but all cats deserves love no matter what color and breed they are
Too cute. I have an orange persian cat and whenever we go to the vet they would call him big boy. He is protective, shy and sweet with his little almost silent meows. He’s truly my baby. They are indeed very special.
I had an orange cat named Marty for 20 years. Best pet I ever had. He always came home when I called him. I'd stand in the back yard and called his name and a couple of minutes later he was climbing over the 6 foot fence. He would wait patiently when I ate because he knew he got to lick the plate. When I sat down to watch TV he would run in the room and jump in the chair with me when he heard the TV. He was a great cat.

Orange cats are precious babies. My parents had one, she was named Scarlett, she was the most sweetest cat i ever seen. She was super close to me, and even took care of me from loud relatives, she probably thought I was her kitten. But she passed away in 2014. I was devastated, i was only 7.
I just recently, rescueda tabby cat that was abandon by his previous owners. The moment I met him he’s stuck by my side and he even sleeps with me, and wakes up when I wake up. I’ve only had him for 1 1/2 day and his name is Simba ;)

My last cat was a ginger. Hands down the best cat I have ever had. SUPER affectionate. He found a shopping bag on my bed,and crawled into it. I picked up the bag and carried him around like a sack of groceries,and he was purring like a diesel. Sadly,I lost him to feline dementia at 18.

Well... lucky me. I just so happened to be adopted this weekend by a beautiful 1 year old orange tabby that showed up on our back porch and wouldn't leave. And he is one of the most lovable cats I've ever known. He appears to be fixed and we've seen him before over the last 6 months or so so it appears someone just moved away and abandoned him. Their loss. He's amazing. I've named him Hobbes after Calvin and Hobbes.
My Tigger and Lion-O are something special… they make me laugh all the time, and they also make me cry in happiness… my wife and I are blessed with our two ginger angel kittens 🐱

All cats are unique and very special, if well treated and loved ❤️
If they've come to you as new born kittens and aren't loving and gentle... check yourself or those in contact with him, that is where the issue resides!
If they've come to your home already a little grown, they are like people, they carry all they have suffered and so it takes time to balance them again.
If you have a cat in your life.... you are blessed!

We had an orange tabby named Cheddar, a.k.a. the Big Cheese. He was a 20 lbs big boy. He got cancer and had to have his left hind leg amputated. Didn't slow him down though. He live another 4 years before passing at age 19.
God bless him. What an attitude he had to keep going you obviously love living his life with you.🩷
We have an orange cat too lol. Sometimes when I feed the cats, he goes up to the food container and gobbles up the fish. Luckily he is now a good boi and just sit beside the fish lol

When i was younger i had a beautiful ginger cat . One very hot day i went for a swim in a small creek at back of our property in Australia. I couldn't believe my eyes when my beautiful ginger boy just followed me straight into the creek to swim with me . I thought cats didn't like water he also loved eating orange pieces. Was one of my favourite cats that i have had over the years I'm now 84 with 2 girl taby cats as my constant companions. ❤

I had one growing up. He never made messes and went potty outside. Wasn't into boxes or spraying our house or bringing us gifts. Slept at night at the end of my bed. He also met us at bus stop to walk us home. He was the most gentle, sweet, loving cat and he loved us as much as we loved him. And he showed it. Never had such a beautiful, loving cat since. I still miss him. He was there my entire childhood. I miss you Tigger. 🐈❤️
Our Marmalade found us as a young thin stray...that was about 10 years ago. She is a chatty cuddler who will wear you down to share your food! Though she eats the same foods our other cats do, Marmalade will steal Cheetos and gnaw corn-on-the-cob. 🤗💛

Then some time later this gorgeous fluffy tuxedo female came to us, she wanted in the house, it was raining hard and dark October ...I told my husband he said no she's not coming in.. but it's raining ? Oh OK....and that's it, Lulunhas been with us over 7 years and she has brought us SO much joy....husband and she are best friends and he says that she came to us from God ....saved us pining, gave us a new life and JOY.❤

Last July, my exfiancee found a female orange tabby kitten on the freeway and they've become quite close ever since. The cat was named Khara, an idea I came up with.
My orange tabby’s name is Sam. He’s my best friend. He shakes with you when you ask him. He also can open the door in my house. He’s very smart. He sleeps with me and licks me. He’s my second tabby I’ve had, I love him very much.

I have owned orange and white Tabbies for 52 of my 63 years. They have all been named Rusty, and I've only had one at a time with no overlap. The longest I went without one was 2 weeks, the oldest lived to be 19 years and 7 months, the youngest was a foster that had problems from birth and lived for 5 months. The biggest was a 16 lb., 32" nose to tail monster. They all had two things in common: the loudest purr of any other cats I have ever owned (all had long noses, no flat nosed cats), and all were talkative.

My wonderful ginger tomcat Loki died two weeks ago. I had him since he was a kitten and we were the best of friends.
Now it's only his black sister and me. I love her too, but she's a very different temperament.

We have two ginger cats. One is a 5 year old male named Mikey and the other is a 10 month old female named Molly. They were both ferals. Mikey was abandoned by his mother and I took him in when he was two weeks old. We bottle fed him and he is my best friend. Molly was living in our Florida room and originally our daughter was going to adopt her. Unfortunately Molly tested positive for FLV and our daughter declined adoption because of her other cats. We decided to bring her into our home and Mike and Molly are very happy. Oh, and Molly and my wife are the best of friends.

I have a female ginger cat which is apparently rare. The cage she was being housed in at the Rescue Shelter had her labeled as "male". "He" had just been brought in earlier that same day and they didn't want me to interact with "him" too much until all necessary tests had been run but I petted "him" a bit and fell in love with "him" immediately. When I went to pick "him" up I was told she had just been spayed. I was like, "What do you mean spayed? He's a male cat?" Well, apparently not. I was told female ginger cats are rare and whoever brought her in probably just assumed it was male. So she is not the cat I was expecting but I absolutely love her! She has beautiful gold eyes. So grateful for the mistake and couldn't imagine my life without her! 😺

I am a ginger and I have 3 ginger kids and 4 ginger grandkids - so of course I had 2 ginger tabbys ! The first one was Gingey and we had to leave hime behind when we emigrated but got a new one to make up and we called him Copy . I had him for 17 years and I still miss him ( both of them were everything you say!!)

My 2nd cat was a dark red tabby cat that I became his bestie when he was a stray. That was late September 1981 when I first met him. I was 11 years old at that time. He was afraid of me for a few minutes but, he turned out to be a big sweetie. It took a month and a half to adopted him into our home. My sister and even my parents liked him,too. He was more than my cat but,he did liked other family members. I had a very special bond with him. The stuff that I did to him that no one did towards him. Even my mother fell in loved with him very quickly for being such a big sweet and friendly cat. My father decided to adopted him since there was another cat just before him that we adopted 2 years before him. Both cats got along really quickly just after meeting. Even our 1st cat was a red tabby cat,too. My father said something towards someone having 2 daughters and 2 cats. One cat for each of his 2 daughters. Both cats were both sweet and friendly. I did liked them both in different ways. One cat was a good buddy and the other cat was my best friend. These 2 cats were the best cats ever. They never got into big fights with each other. I was lucky to have 2 parents that loved cats in a different way. My father was a big softy towards cats and my mother liked them a little bit. She was more than a dog person. She told me that she loved warm fuzzies in cats and dogs.

I have a ginger cat named Peace! We are best friends. He's in trouble a lot! He wakes me up in the middle of the night to play. He does eat all the time lol he loved the water in my bathroom sink so much that I got him a water fountain that he loves, I catch him sometimes sitting there and staring at it. Most of all he is constantly making me laugh. Love my ginger cat!
