Sorry to be that guy, but have to break it to you. He won’t be winning any global medals for a while, while Lyles, Knighton, Jacobs, Bromell, Tebogho and the rest of the crew is around. He will win collegian titles yes.
Terrence Jones will do great things this season. He is 6'4 and has a powerful stride. Since he runs limited meets compared to other collegiate athletes, I hope he peaks for the world championships
As a Jamaican and a track and field fan I am very happy when I see new athletes from the region start to blossom. I wish that he has a strong management team in place so as not to burn himself out. Remember Bolt in his prime was very selective of the meets he ran in.
This guy's potential is huge! Given his height the usual stumbling block is the start. But we've just watched him dominate the indoor 60m & now open his outdoor season with a very strong sub 10! Wow! And he's only 20!!! I just hope he stays injury free & motivated to stay in track & field because he could be the next big us sprinting star. N.B: Bahamas apparaently. Thanks victor & tara for the correction.
Wow i seen him run two Times thanks it's so good to see new guy's and ladies that are still into track we had and still are losing our young folks so many goin we don't have many who would be into this sport Thanks again keep it up i love my utube
Ncaa outdoor openers and Pro athlete openers are not the same thing tho! The pros don't really race indoors so it's their ''true'' openers. Ncaa athletes usually have already ran a lot of races since december. That's why they almost always ''open'' outdoor with fast times. (not saying he won't improve tho, but the pro's will defenitly improve more over the course of the season)
Finally someone worth taking about right now. Terrance Jones. I'm so tired of hearing about Fanbullah when he's not even a top 5 or 10 guy right now. Could he be someone if he fixes something soon? Sure but he's not so let's talk about the true dogs.
Yup.... been saying this for awhile now, even through all the Boling Hype, that it's Terrence Jones who's gonna be the Superstar in this sport. I mean, as soon we saw what the young man was able to do in the 60m last season, and then again this season on multiple occasions, it wasn't hard to imagine what his potential could be over the 100m and 200m events. Especially as a taller sprinter. Although, I don't really get "Bolt vibes" when watching Jones run... but I DO get Kerley vibes. 💪💪 I see more of a power stride and explosiveness outta the blocks like Kerley... opposed to Bolt's incredible stride length and turnover, allowing him to finish races as Dominant as it's ever been done. Either way, I'm betting he's here to stay and we're just scratching the surface of Jones's true potential. And THAT... is a scary thought for all other Sprinters!!😨🔥🔥🔥 Give this young man 2 or 3 years of Pro training and experience.... yikes.
Great analysis, but I don’t think he is a 200m threat, especially when you consider the likes of Knighton, Tebogo, and Orogot. He may be tall but his explosiveness, common with great 60m runners, makes him a 100m guy not 200m. His last 200m race time was decent but he had visibly completely run out of gas

Maybe even this season?? She's young but she's only getting better.
Well in High school he was a 200 and 400 man, focusing on the 200 more than anything else. His coach liked him for the 100 and started training there. In saying that he hasn't run the 200 at all last season, because he was getting injured pretty often. For him to run 20.05 after not running the event in over a season says a lot. If he gets back into 200 training like before, he will be a threat in the 200, however I agree the 100 seems to be his better event at the moment.
