Two books on sleep: why we sleep, goodnight mind. Fascinating

I wrestle with fatigue a lot. Another book I just started, sleep reimagined. "Goodnight Mind" has good info, but poorly written IMO (for someone who appreciates good writing)
I missed it! But you're apparently a fellow Mass gardener, nice. I'm South of Boston and garden with our very quirky weather. It's an experience unlike most of the big YT gardeners so it's good to have that similar experience represented.

"When is the best time to water your garden". My answer is that there is an objective "best time" for everything in gardening, but the true best time is when you can taking into account health and other life requirements

Regarding your move to California: A California State Legislature committee has approved a bill that could allocate a staggering $800 billion for slavery reparations-a sum that is more than 2.5 times the state’s annual budget.The state previously created an office of reparations to study the subject but had to shut it down due to a lack of funds. 🤪
I’m not sure if you’re saying this is a good thing or a bad thing. It sounds like a good thing to me!
@@thecottagepeach I suppose it’s a good thing if you want to bankrupt a state that’s already billions in debt. Imagine the taxes you will pay. And the $8 billion is just a starting point. The money will draw a huge number of people there who will demand their share, and most of them will be low or no wage earners. Meanwhile, wage earners / tax payers are fleeing the state, increasing the tax burden on those who stay. Kinda detracts from the nice weather. I loved it when I lived there, but that was 65 years ago.
3rd week of winter here….Still have Strawbs and Eggplant.
Beans are trying, but stunted by the cold.
Low temps on the coast here in Sydney are 8-10 deg C during winter.

Ty nice q an a, im a fan of brandywine also. Purple Cherokee does well in this soil. Horseradish is a preferred crop because I prepare it. To many things to list. Bless your heart to manage the pain.❤🌻

If you haven't read anything by Brandon Sanderson you should try the original Mistborn trilogy. It's fantasy, but he's a really really brilliant author and likes to examine issues like mental health, poverty, misogyny, class dynamics and many others. He has the ability to make you care about a character very deeply. Once you go Brando Sando its hard to read other authors, he's just that great.
I've heard of him but never read anything, will add to my list thanks!
@@thecottagepeach if you enjoy fantasy, he will very quickly become your favorite author of all time, he is probably the greatest of all time in the genre I could not recommend him more

I had pains in joints and muscles, went thru 2 different 3 days fasts in a month period, cut sugars and started 3 times a day fish oils and pains went away and energy came back…
I’m glad that worked for you. But some of us need traditional medicine to have any quality of life. I’m not against natural alternatives. But comments like this shame people who can’t survive without western medicine.

Nothing compares to Fourth Wing, but I recently read the Fireborne series and liked it (totally closed door so if you like the sexy stuff maybe not) if you need a dragon book :)

Have you thought about doing cooking videos? I feel like there aren't enough gardening channels that focus on how you prepare/eat what you grow.
It's tough for me to stand for long periods of time so I haven't found a good way to film cooking stuff yet! I do a lot of drink recipes and basic stuff on my IG
@@thecottagepeach Oh, that makes sense. You don't have to cook in front of the camera to do it though, you could just go over the recipe and show the end project. Just a thought. Best wishes, love the channel
