    You should spend a few minutes explaining which string gauge goes in which position! Some strings are unison (the middle ones) and the low and high have octaves. It would be useful to explain how the string gauges are distributed. Thanks.

      Yes , there is an explanation, but maybe not detailed enough , but hundreds of people have succeeded with this video . hopefully in the future I’ll make even a better one with close up cameras as well. Thanks

      @fouellet1701 The strings of short-neck baglama range from 0.18 - 0.28 gauge and for the long-neck baglama string gauges you can use the same string gauges as the short-neck baglama. just be careful when restringing them that you don't over tighten them there not like guitar strings

      Yes, hundreds of people have succeeded with this close up , maybe for some people it’s not close and clear enough
      So you should find assistance with somebody who knows how to change the strings that lives nearby you
      Good luck 🍀

    @channel hello where do I get to buy a nice decent Saz from USA? There are several kinds of Saz. Like long scale, short scale, Cura Saz etc. I would like to go with the most common and popular shaped one. Can you guide me please?

      Hello, there are different sizes in different tuning as you said, the best and ideal way is to start with the long neck Saz . You’re welcome to my website:
      baraksaz.com
      I have online course on how to play the Saz - in the English language, and the special packages that you can buy a course and a long neck together in a better price. Also from my long experience, I choose good instruments for these packages and we ship it to the United States.
      The online course is very good for beginners with no background at all, and you learn everything : how to tune ,how to change strings, different picking techniques, beautiful melodies, and More and more .. many people from all over the world, took the course and progress very nicely. This is a video of people who took the course in the English language that show how they play and speak about the course:

    Hello, I just got a 6 strings cura saz . Could you tell me what gauge of strings to buy please? Thanks a lot!!!

    • @BarakSazBaglama
      @BarakSazBaglama  Před rokem

      Hi congratulations
      Usually the tuning for Cura will be :
      Bottom string close to the floor A
      Middle string D
      Top string G (if it’s for long neck tuning)
      Or top string E (if it’s for short neck tuning)
      The strings are usually 016
      But also 018 could of work

    Are baglama strings supposed to be super close to the body ? I got a baglama and the strings sound so quiet and weak

    • @BarakSazBaglama
      @BarakSazBaglama  Před rokem

      If you don’t have experience with the instrument, so you do not know how it should sound
      Also,(if I understand correctly, you want some to correct me if I’m wrong) you do not know how to play it, so you do not know how to make a loud and unique quality sound
      So it’s difficult for me to answer this question
      in general, it is a possibility that there are too close if the neck has bended, and then the sound is weak, but it’s not certain as I said

      @@BarakSazBaglama Okay I see what you mean. What are good strings for Aa gg Ddd Tuning? I had 18,28 thick strings they did not sound too good until I tuned up to Cc bbbb Fff. I prefer the lower tuning though cause I want to play more single note picking melodies but I think I need heavier strings for the lower Aa gg Ddd tuning.
