DO you know any good videos I can learn playing Accords?

The sound of the baglama saz is pure poetry in music. I love the Turkish modes. I guess you call them taksim. I just got my baglama last week. I'm already playing nice music on it. I'm ONLY interested in playing real Turkish music on it though.

Good to know which wood that is. Now I need to find a forrester, for I bet wild junipers are getting rare and protected by law. Maybe there are garden varieties. Great. Why? Well, a friend gave me a saz, but unfortunately he did not like the beautiful inlay patterns, so it was chisseled away. Now I got the problem of replacing this fingerboard. Thanks for the juniper tip. Could be a good option.

There's no significant difference between the short neck and long neck baglamas, apart than that.

If you look up the prices for the best ones which are made from Mulberry tree's it should be in the range of 2 to 2.5k TL(300-400 euro) maxing out around 3.5k TL. Yilmaz Saz Evi sells similar instruments starting at 4k TL... The Turkish name of these saz's are Oyma Dut Saz(or Oyma Dut Baglama or just Dut Saz) a great alternative to the Oyma Dut Saz is the Yaprak Dut Saz, which is a little less used by the best artists but not unfamilliar to them. Bağlamanın tarihçesine bakmanı öneririm. Kürtler ve Türkler dışında onlardan önce onun ilkel halini kullananlar olmuş Anadolu'da. Yani bağlamanın ilk izleri Anadolu'daki hititlerdir. Ayrıca nedir bu aidiyet duygusu? Türkler de Kürtler de bağlama çalar, olay budur. Hemen bir sahiplenme... Ayrıca bağlamayı Kürt çalgısı yapan nedir? Çalmaları mı?

Aşağılık psikolojisi kürtçüleri esir almış ezikliklerini yunanların bizim tatlıları yemekleri çalması gibi bize ait olan bağlama/ kopuz gibi enstrümanları sahiplenerek kapatmaya çalışıyorlar. Siz mağarada eşek sikmekle meşgulken biz de ozanlar vardı orta asyadan beridir.

Sur. But also european use saz very often. By example the polish group "perceval". In France You will find a lot of peaple who think saz come from greece or turkey or rumania. Other example i play bouzouki, irish bouzouki. this instument has a origin from greece and turkey but also now from ireland.
