Goosebumps every time I hear that chorus
And this suddenly brought back memories of the 9-year old myself with my dad. 😀
25 years later, and this film still rocks my socks. Can't wait to see it in theatres this weekend!
i saw it yesterday in theatres. the movie looked dark and like an old print, it didn't look like they improved the picture at all.
Were you checking out Anakin's mom?
Saw this for the 1st on the
Big Screen!!
Never had the chance to see it as a child when it was released, mark it off my checklist and the experience was fun, haven’t seen Star Wars TPM for a while so it was refreshing to see it again
Saw it at midnight on release day. I enjoyed and still do enjoy it despite a lot of its ridiculousness
The Phantom Menace is a masterpiece.
I remember watching this film as a kid. Great Times back then. I can't wait to rewatch this again, but on the big screen.
John Williams you are.... ❤❤❤
I love JOHN WILLIAMS as a Composer!!!
I am so excited for this. Cannot wait to see this on the big screen again.
Seeing it tonight, cannot wait. My favourite Star Wars movie
I was born After the Original Trilogy came out. I saw Episodes 1-3 & 7-9 in theaters.
Played music from 1-3 in HS BAND
I already have my ticket!
I will never not get goosebumps when the battle chorus starts singing. Masterpiece
Seeing it tonight..pumped
Darth Maul is the best thing in whole Star Wars in my opinion. And this movie was his „birth“ in the sw universe
Man, I seen this in movie theater when I was 5 years old.
Late 90s was the most exciting time ever for a young Star Wars fan. Having grown up on the expanded universe and later watching the original movies with the SE releases in theatres, when TPH was announced people seriously flipped out. The hype preceding the release of this movie is a story in itself. My favourite of the prequels. Endlessly quotable (for better or worse). The best lightsaber battle. Podrace, which goes on a little too long but is such a ride. Iconic soundtrack. World building that post-Lucas SW still can't seem to improve upon. Two hours of good fun. Glad it's coming back!
Agree with everything, especially about the atmosphere of that late-‘90s time period (remember seeing “Empire” special edition in theaters for my bday and buggin’ out). People tend to focus on complaining about A. Too much Jar Jar, or B. Too many political scenes in this, but neither of those bothered me at all. What did, though m, was…sigh…the introduction and emphasis on midichlorians.
@@mywhychromosome Yes, personally I think that the midichlorians and the council are what demystified the Jedi/the Force.
@@rantingsw3de Ah, I didn’t even think about the council, but you’re absolutely right! That was another thing where, I get the idea of trying to show a time where Jedi were ‘around’ and a somewhat known entity, whereas in the OG trilogy it’s like this lost, dead tribe reduced to a myth, but…the way it was done, made it seem like a damn Friar’s Club meeting or something, lol. “Demystifying” is the best way to put it.
Goosebumps I have.
John Williams is for real the Goat!
I enjoyed it as a kid, and as a teenager I enjoyed Mister Plinkett reviews on Star Wars.
Number one...
It was the most disappointing thing since my Son.
Plinkett is full of bantha fodder. They're factually incorrect throughout their "review". It's beyond insane how people take him and RLM seriously.
Damn right!
The Phantom Menace is a masterpiece
I remember when the first teaser trailer came out. My computer wasn’t good enough to download the trailer so I had to download and print off a transcript of it and I would read it over and over again 😂😂
I remember when the first Star Wars came out. My Dad had to shovel coal all day to power the computer enough so we could just see the THX logo in 144p and hear it in mono Mp2.
@@ArcanePath360 fake news. THX was founded in 1983 and Star Wars came out in 1977! You sir are a phoney! Hey everyone this guys a phoney!

Thank you George Lucas for your space opera! I’m sorry I ever complained about the prequel trilogy! I saw them in the theaters as a kid and just saw Phantom Menace again 25 years later on the big screen! It aged so well, better than current films!
The prequels and originals are masterpieces
Star Wars and Lord of the Ring are some of my favorite movies

I'll watch it on May 1st, in a German cinema. Unfortunately it is the day of the Bad Batch finale, too.
أعظم فلم خيالي فضائي في تاريخ البشرية
As someone who grew up with the original trilogy (not the orig 70’s/80’s releases; I had the VHS’s from the late 80’s/early 90’s up) and then of course saw “Phantom” immediately upon release almost peeing my pants with excitement, my one main ‘question’ was: How come the Jedi here fight like acrobatic, deadly, laser-katana wielding ninjas or samurais, when in the OG they are more like comparatively very slow, deliberate, certainly ‘ground bound’ medieval swordfighters…almost like they’re weighed down by layers of non-existent armor?? I mean I guess with Luke you could say there was no one left to train him properly, but certainly Vader should still be the kung-fu movie wirefighting dude we see him as in these flicks. Side NOTE: I actually thought this was the best of the 3 (admittedly, all heavily flawed) prequels, so I’m kinda psyched about this. But then, I actually liked “The Force Awakens”, so I guess my opinion doesn’t matter
Vader is weighed down by his suit, and Ob-Wan is really old and hasn't had a proper duel in years. Like the movie a lot too!
@@thestupidnintendokid Obi-Wan I totally get, I mean he even purposefully martyrs himself at the end of their fight. But with Vader, I thought the suit was specifically built in such a way that he was essentially like a pseudo-cyborg, so it wasn’t slowing him down in any way…but I guess it’s never really discussed. I mean, I know the real explanation is just “we didn’t have the type of crew, equipment, or actors to bust this type of stuff out back then”, but what you said works fairly well as an in-universe explanation, actually. Especially given the duels in the first 3 are limited to 1. Obi-Wan/Vader, 2. Vader/Luke, 3. Vader/Luke Part 2, which is a lot of running around and then eventually just lightning shooting, rather than the sabers being the climax lol
@@mywhychromosome Yeah! The explanation doesn't work perfectly, but you can definitely tell at the end of Revenge of the Sith that the suit is pretty unwieldy; with him struggling to stand and walk.
Also I love your username lol
@@thestupidnintendokid Yeah, that’s a good point about the end of ROTS, you can see that the ‘reconstruction’ has been painful and horrific, kind of Frankenstein-esque, rather than just ‘badass’ as it was originally portrayed (although I loved the mystery they kept in the OT, just little glimpses like seeing his helmet be applied from behind in “Empire”. Almost feel like we shouldn’t have seen his face at all). Also, thanks man! Lol. A lot of people seem to misinterpret it and think I’m making some kind of misogynistic statement and I’m like “…dude, spelling! Spelling!” Haha.
Why does the Trailer sound like in it's PAL Format?

This trailer took me back to my childhood, and remember seeing TPM on the big screen, and watching the trailers back in 99. 90’s Star Wars was amazing, and my personal favorite time to be a Star Wars fan. This trailer reminds me how much Disney has butchered this franchise for way too long. It’s not the same franchise as it once was.
Okay back up your point/show evidence that Disney butchered starvwars
@@bullrun2772 The sequel trilogy is poorly put together overall (story/plot, characters, lack of understanding of the universe) to the point it is embarrassing that it is actually part of the Star Wars universe. The first Star Wars that I saw was episode 6 when I was in 1st grade- 1998. When Phantom Menace going to be released I always ask my parents to watch it on the big screen. My father always hype me every day before D-day. When I saw it on the big screen it was like a dream come true for me, I felt I was dreaming and imagining I was living the world that Lucas made. My childhood was awesome because I live in the generation where the best movie for me was created. Even up to the present I still look forward to Star Wars movies.
I hope Disney stops making series and movies about the Anakin saga anymore because it is redundant and getting awful. I wish they would make a movie about the video game Star Wars: Old Republic movie which focuses on the Jedi and Sith.

I'm seeing so many comments saying that the prequel trilogy are better than the sequel trilogy and I'm flabbergasted by that. First off, Episode 8 is not bad. Really the only low point is the Canto Bight scenes. Second, if you are going to tell me that Episode 9, for as bad as it is, is worse than Episode 2, you are just factually incorrect.
I agree
I love TFA & I like TROS, but TLJ is the worst Star Wars film (imo) and all 3 prequels are better. I agree that TROS is way better than AOTC. Episode 2 really hurt the prequels, just like Episode 8 hurt the sequels. Crazy that majority of the middle entries are the worst when TESB is one of the greatest films of all time. TFA has been in my top 3 favorite SW films since 2015, so I do enjoy the sequel trilogy, but it was sadly ruined by TLJ. There’s a reason Ruin Johnson never got his own trilogy.
@@RBRShortFilms13 okay back up your point/show evidence that tlj is crap. Lol Rians trilogy is still happening deal with it
episode 8 failed, some good ideas, poor execution, but i will not argue with you that it's worse than Episode 1 and Episode 2, because i can at least see where you're coming from. Episode 9 however, is the worst Star Wars movie, it's spineless, it doesn't make sense, it spends so much time by trying to fix what's broken. If you're gonna say it has a decent acting and good graphics - yeah i would've been out of my mind if a billion dollar franchise couldn't afford even that. I think there's a difference between cheesy movie with some bad dialogue (which was Episode 2), and absolute shallowness, impotency (which was Episode 9).
