Milly was casted bc the supergirl Script is done. Gunn said casting will only happen after a script is finished
Well if Supergirl is going to appear in Su[erman well that doesn't mean the script for Supergirl is done. When he said we cast after a script is done I think he meant the script for the project a character will appear in.

@@jonlake4754he didn't say the scripts had to be turned in for the films to be announced, he said they wouldn't start production on anything without a finished script. Most of the 10 projects they announced in the chapter 1 slate weren't in the script writing stage yet, but they were still announced

The DC animated film Superman Unbound is a pretty good adaptation of the Brainiac storyline
He has purple markings on his top outfit that could mean he had an encounter with Parasite
It would be nice to see Kal-el taking his time to pull his boots on and making the noises everyone else does when doing that.

Gunn confirmed that Luthor was the primary villain of this movie. Not saying that precludes Brainiac from being in it… it just seems odd that they’d make such a huge character a side-villain.
Lex and brainiac becomes one if that’s the storyline they are going with

Suit kinda reminds me of *My Adventures With Superman* which I love and has felt like its an animated variant of the incoming DCEU, and with S2 around the corner teasing a possible same villain, I'm excited for what both of them bring!
We need a real Martian manhunter in this dcu. The white martians should be the villains in one of these movies.

I like the look. It looks battered and dirty from battle as we see clearly from the background. This suit looks dirty intentionally and i love that. The same people hating on this did the same with, Robert Pattensons Batman and ben Afflecks batman. Also this is no different from how people reacted to henry cavills suit.
I didn't like the gritty take of Superman in Henry Cavil's movies. Henry Cavil as Superman killed it. The movie itself being Superman...No. At least not in my eyes. Superman isn't supposed to be beaten up and dirty. However, I think this is the climax and I do love the suit. Just not your reasoning

I think that him putting on his boots is significant. It's possibly a metaphor that Superman puts on his pants everyday just like everyone else. It's a nod to the duplicity of the character being basically a god, but being one of us too.

The whole shot is definitely giving Laundry Day. There’s a Superman fan film called “Laundry Day” on youtube you can look it up.
At least it’s not another rendition of General Zod, I also just hope this all plays out well as we’ve been in need of good Superman movies for a long time

I find that most “fans” today lack in their dc knowledge, even the best CZcamsrs. It’s been all about Marvel, they can spit rhyme and verse, but when it comes to DC everyone seems rusty to me, or they harken back to a time that doesn’t include modern day story lines or characters. Most people don’t know about Dark Crisis, Absolute Power, Justice/Doom War, or Joe Mullein

What if this is a shot from the end scene? Maybe the end credits, where Braniac is teased as the next movie's villain with a little glimpse into the future at the end of the movie involving Brainiac attacking Metropolis?

I think this is his father's suit that he found in the ship he came in on, hence why it is ill-fitting. Never made sense that a suit was ready made for him for when he was grown up. He's putting on the suit for the first time as it looks like he's made a decision to go face whatever it is behind him. If it is the first time, then the battle damage/dirt means that it was worn by someone else before.

@Brook11223 is right about that being a green lantern ring blast it could mean that there is a battle going on out there amongst the other heroes and whatever is attacking and Superman is just getting ready to join the battle. He still looks good in the suit glad to see the trunk again.

I like how Gunn is getting away from casting major blockbuster stars in favor of actors who fit the character. This way when you see Superman it’s Superman. The Arrowverse/TITANS/Doom Patrol TV shows did this extremely well and allowed you to suspend disbelief in just going cool a live action “____”.
Henry Cavils version was good, taken from more of the Dark Knight series superman. Dont want some big screen CW Superman

I love the bottom half of the suit, and the Reds Blues and yellow work almost flawlessly together, but the upper part... It's baggy, looks like a baggy pull over sweater, the way the cape attaches is strange, the collar, I'm gonna give it a chance for sure I want it to work so bad, I want a cohesive DC universe, I just hope this is an early movie rendition and he finds a permanent suit in the fortress or his ship.

i think most of the comics were to point out the costume accuracy/hint that he would be going with red underwear and cape that comes out from under the suit. I do highly believe brainiac will be one of the villains, probably behind the scenes kind of deal; hence why all the different supes/hero's.

I'm always up for a good Superman movie, but I have little interest in the FF. That said, I worry about putting too many characters into 1 movie. Unless it's going to be 4 hours long, there is no way that they can introduce so many without taking away from the storyline.
