Ich hör es immer wieder. Den Song hab ich schon immer gemocht. Coverversionen sind fast immer schlechter, als das Original. Diese wirkt in seiner Schlichtheit "ehrlicher" und gefällt mir noch viel besser, als das Original. Wirklich ein großer Wurf! This is a song that cannot be covered, Peter Gabriel's voice is too unique to do a cover of the song justice
Peter Gabriel is an amazing singer and I never would dare to copy his version in any way. The only thing you can try is to give it your own little twist and that’s what we did. 😌
Actually the original song is from Stephin Merritt.
Gabriels Version ist better then the original though.
But although Gabriel has a unique voice and I love his version of the song his voicerange is very limited.
So I am happy to hear a cover from someone with a better range.
