Weaving was a livelihood in many parts of the country. After independence did the congress. - AKA the govt of India do what was required to promote khadi ? The best of cotton and muslin and linen was exported and *Polyster* was promoted by the Marwaris *and encouraged by the congress govt*- AKA BIRLA, Et. Al , along with Ambani. In the north east women weaved and still women weaves. Gandhi was the British's chela . Because it is published gandhi said this and gandhi said that , we quote - we should do a deep dive before we say what gandhi said. *Gandhi Experimented with lies*

Lokmanya tilak also used khadi before gandhi. Gandhi didn't invented khadi but promoted more than anybody

This channel is indeed very informative and thank you for that. However, I have one point of disagreement. After watching many of your videos, I somehow got the impression that your attitude towards someone who doesn't purchase the purest handloom or hand-embroidery is somewhat condescending. That has to change. While high quality handloom textile is indeed worth treasuring and promoting, let us please not forget that not everyone is so fortunate that they can purchase the best. But they may opt for similars owing to their liking for a particular pattern. It is possible for both to survive side by side. The only issue is in calling a power loom fabric as handloom.
