@@Dominick7 there are two types of s6 lite. One is with sim tray and another is without sim tray. This video is for without sim tray device
Don't purchase for the call and text feature from the tablet. Check your phone to see if you have the options "call and text from other devices". I think it depends on your carrier. My Galaxy S10 (Verizon)does not allow this feature.

I've been using this cool feature for awhile now however there is one thing that I do not like....If you are using your tablet to read and send text messages and then use your phone at a later time it still shows that you have active (new) messages sent or received (as if you never read or sent them)... same thing but in reverse.. If you are using your phone to read and send text messages and then go to your tablet they are showing as NEW messages (AS IF YOU NEVER READ THEM)… In other words both devices don't sync each other...
I know it was mentioned that you have to have a Samsung phone to make this work, but did you maybe mean to say ANY Android phone? I have an HTC, so would I be able to hook this up with the S6?
Have you tried the same with Samsung Flow? Curious since I have AT&T (not switching with 50% discount) and it doesn't work with them or Verizon?

My dad figured out how to do this by himself. Literally I was shocked when he called me on the tab lol. I’m so proud of him I was shocked hesaid he’s not good with modern tech but he did it! He’s used to old computers

To everyone curious, Samsung has said that this feature is not available everywhere yet for some wierd reason. I tried with my Note 10 plus with att. Hopefully its released soon to all areas
Not available through certain carriers. Verizon is one also. Unlocked phones have the setting

Where does the phone and tablet have to be proximity wise? Distance? I have a 6 lite, trying to connect to S9. S9 does not have the setting on it. I have Android 9. Pie on S9

Great information if you have a Samsung tablet and a Samsung smartphone. What's the solution for the same connectivity between Samsung and non-Samsung devices? I have a non-LTE Tab S6 and a Google Pixel 3a. My impression is that although these are two Android 10 devices, there's no built-in ability to link the two so I can receive and make calls on my tab via a connection to my Pixel 3a, which I find incredulous. I assume I need to make use of some app from the Google App store so does anyone have a recommendation?

Who's your carrier? Verizon has disabled this from their devices in a ploy to force people to use their messages+ app.
Other carriers have done this as well. I have Verizon and dont have that option on my device.

Did you get it to work I'm being told can't create account with Google your account can't be created because the name used in your Google account contains non-english characters so it's not letting me sign in with Google which it looks like that's the an option for people who don't have a Samsung phone and I don't know why it's saying I'm using non-english characters because I am using all English

If I find a solution I will let you know but did you try that Google option like it gives you the option to set up with a Samsung account or a Google account. It looks like we can use the google account associated with our phone. I had 2 options.

But I still can't make phone calls without any tricks, like signing in at Samsung, which I don't like. At all.
You use the Verizon message app on tablet to make calls. They dont have the Samsung feature running on Verizon as far as I know
@alt use the messenger app on tablet you can make calls that way. 👍
@alt the text message+ app that already on tablet. Default app. Its Verizon message. Gotta go to top left corner in setting on messager app and enable calls

It comes with Microsoft office products. Get the keyboard if you type lengthy emails. You will not be disappointed.
According to Samsung this feature doesnt work with ATT or Verizon phones. Hope this helps

But it DOES work with older Samsung tablets. Same phone, same carrier. Appears to be a Samsung issue with their newer tablets.
Call and messaging continuity will NOT work if you are using ATT or Verizon. Not yet anyway. And, I believe only the LTE version will be capable. I also don't think CMC capability is even updated on the phones using either of those carriers.
It appears to be a problem with the tablet, not the carrier. I can use my older S2 tablet and it connects to the phone just fine for calls, but not my Tab S4 or Tab S6.

I really want a Tab S6. I am so over using this ipad. The new Tab S6 looks so nice. The big Spen would be awesome to do artwork with. I currently use the Note 10+ ,ipad mini 4 to watch tv on & a Surface pro 3 to do Artwork. I've found the Note 10+ really cool to do artwork on. The Surface is really good also. But I want to start to use all Samsung products for the easy syncing across all devices. The Dex on the pc is great also but Finally Samsung has made top of the line everything & with the Note & the Tab S6 I can actually drop the ipad & the Surface. So the line up would look like Note 10+, Tab S6, & my Asus laptop with your phone app & Dex software installed. That is a bitchin setup. Tab S6 here we come!!!!

Yes. Only t mobile had the feature unlocked.

Can we change the messages' colors?
I received mine friday, and it is laggy screen response on screen with my finger. It's okay screen response with spen. Also my finger scanner doesn't seem to want to register my fingerprint. I don't know if I got a bad unit or what. The box was a little damaged.
The Tablet is supposed to be snappy, there's probably something wrong with your unit or settings. I'd immediately exchange it.

No. Because the tab is not an LTE device, there's no need to pay for an extra line or pay for anything at all. I'm pretty sure it's done via Wi-Fi but I suppose it could be Bluetooth as well?

Maybe you don't have the LTE version where you can put a sim card in. There's another version of the Tab S6 where you can put a sim card in,

The galaxy S8 doesnt have that feature but the Samsung website says its compatible . Will probably have to go with the galaxy s10 or higher to use this feature.
