Do you have a link to a thread or video about what’s needed for this swap on 1987 isuzu trooper 2

Johnny5ive - Hey man, do you only deal with Gen 1 Troopers, or do you have any Gen 2 stuff as well?I've got an AZ rust-free '95 real cheap that I'm hoping to restore....
Used to belong to my neighbor - ran pretty good until the MUA5 started whining. It sounded to me like the input or output shaft bearing was going on it. He had his mechanic look into it (even after I told him I would, but I guess he didn't trust me) and his mechanic told him that the case had cracked at the input shaft bearing, which he claimed was a common issue with these Isuzu trannys. I've been doing as much research as I can on the subject, but have yet to see anyone else make the same claim. In fact everything I find online or elsewhere about the MUA5 claims the opposite is true; it's apparently "bullet-proof"?
Well the mechanic attempted to weld the crack only to make it much worse, now it's grinding something fierce. Said he bought another MUA5 from CA and had it magnafluxed only to find a crack developing in the same spot, so my neighbor said forget it and asked me if I wanted it to just give him what a junkyard would offer to take it.
Unfortunately, I really like the damn truck, and think it would be worth fixing. I mean, where else am I going to find a 4x4 as cool and useful as a Trooper for maybe 2k or 3k invested after all is said and done? 😎
      Am I crazy? Lol

Johnny5ive - Awe, shucks... If you happen to know any sources or contacts for the Gen 2's I would really appreciate the help! And thanks for the reply anyway, good luck with the rest of this project!
