Been watching you for a while now and I can’t tell ya how much help you’ve been. I was thinking a cool video I’d be interested in would be one of you going through your icon corner saying which saints you picked and why, where you got them, the style etc. I saw the prayer corner video you did but thought it’d be neat you going into the specifics. I use a mix of prayer books, depending on how much time I have. If I've planned my morning/evening correctly, I like the completeness of the Jordanville... it has All the Prayers and All the Intercessions, and was the first prayer book I started using when I was chrismated in 2015. If, as happens all too often, I mis-plan, over-sleep, or wait till it's too late for me to be fully awake and coherent, I use the much briefer little red prayer book. Sometimes I will use the St. Tikhon's because I really like it! But mostly, I keep going back to Jordanville.

The Ancient Faith Prayer Book is also available on the Orthodox Marketplace website, which is part of GOARCH, so they apparently like it a good bit, as well. GOARCH themselves only publish one straight up prayer book that isn't geared towards a specific group, like kids or teens, that I've found, at least. Greetings my dear brother, Rafael!
I am grateful to God for gifting you the courage in your heart to share these wonderful videos.
Forgive me, as at the moment I have no data or internet and am using wifi. Thus, I haven't gotten a chance to view all you videos in depth because of buffering issues. However, I am in hope that perhaps you may help me with a few questions on what prayer book I am seeking.
As many I started off with the "Little Red" prayer book. And I have grown to love the rules of prayer and the different occasions like the short prayer for marriage, children patron Saint, guardian angel, for sick etc... I also like the English to be "Thy, Thou" and to say "Spirit" not Ghost. What draws me to pick it up is, ascetics as well. With easy line font type and beautiful traditional ornaments (banner/ headers). I'm leaning towars NewRome and St. Tikons. I do have the THM which was gifted to me and the Jordanville I use to have, but did not really open, I gifted it and it was like new. So something like the Antiocian with some canons, Akathist. What do you find to be close. I will try in the meantime to load up your other videos and see what you say within them. We had spoken on Facebook very briefly before, "Konstantinos TheCretan"
    Thank you!

    Your lowly brother,

How do you personally incorporate the use of psalters into your prayer life? Being a fan of Father Reardon’s podcast, he frequently promotes the use of the Psalms as THE prayer book of the church. To be fair, he speaks highly of these types of prayers (the ones in the books you’re reviewing), but he has casually dropped that he goes as far as to tell parishioners who ask how to build a better prayer life to start memorizing psalms.

Fr. Pat rocks! For incorporating the Psalms, (a Kathisma at Vespers and two at Matins) there's an interesting online resource that I rely on heavily, esp. when I travel. "Liturgyio" online has a whole variety of daily prayer structures, initially just for Orthodox, but now expanded for all "Classical Christians". Their Dynamic Horologion (with the Troparia & Kontakia for the saints commemorated each day, though not entirely "Feast-sensitive") is awesome. I love the new feature for searching a different day/time than the current hour, too -- happy hunting!
