Over the last few years I've been really trying to catch a 40lb+ carp in Canada. Every year a few 40lb fish get caught, is this the year that I finally crack the 40lb mark?
Ahh, yes I must say I did get my great sense of humour from him 😂! Thanks for the support mate, I think next year I will continue to try to get my dad to catch a 30!
@@SnaggedOnFish it can be arranged if you are interested! There is an older video I did on the same lake, called 'the Island'. It was my first attempt at a film. Funny enough I fished it this fall with my good friend Rene from Germany, and we did pretty well ;). Video will most likely be on Cypography in the spring!
Thanks Tim, the water is known to some UK Anglers, as there is a cottage rental place that markets carp fishing, but exploring different sections of the lake is key as each area holds a different head of fish!
Just came back from a 2 day fishing trip, for carp, and blanked BOTH DAYS....... Still have never caught a carp, last time I went on a lil trip I hooked a few but every time I either got snagged or it came off..
I have no clue, but I do know a few individuals that have caught a few upper 40s in different provinces and one 50. There may be more 50s that have been caught in canada that are poorly documented or just not shared on the internet but who knows?!? Any 40lb+ fish is really special though! 🍻
@@TeamCarpFishing I've had 2 20s and a 25 pound carp past 3 months caught like 20 of them this year as my main target and first year fishing took me 6-7 months of getting the hang of it than around August I started landing 2-3 most trips switched from corn to bread and it did wonders for me haven't done no fancy hair rigs yet
@@TeamCarpFishing also was able to land my first mirror this year and it was almost a full scale I was pretty happy getting a mirror first year fishing thought it was going to be another 50+ commons before I ever got one *I'm fishing in Ontario in the grand river lots of nice carp, pike and walleye
@@megarobloxmaster101 The grand river has many carp, very few mirrors in the places I fished it, and not too many that get larger than 25lb, but each stretch varies, the grand river is quite big so there's always a chance for a big one!
Hey man, first off all, big congrats on that beautiful 40!!!
Also, this video is one of the few of this type of format that I absolutely loved.
Thanks man, it was a tough edit, also not very good at doing narration so it was a challenge. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! 🙌
Love it, always better with dad around. Well done guys.
Yes, it is, that reminds me I need to get out with my dad more often! Thanks for the support!
Congrats on the 40 Paul! Been waiting awhile for this video, beautiful mirror as well.

You do have some great waters in Canada, this one looks really unexplored….

If I'm correct that's 1 pound away from Canadian record?
