I just got a 5 ml of this and your review is spot on. Interesting and I'll try it in public, but for my taste, not full bottle worthy for me. And Montale is my favorite house right now. Great leather smell but a little too barnyardy.

On subject, I wanted to try Aoud Cuir d'Arabie for a long time, but couldn't find a tester in the stores that had Montale.
It’s an amazing and compelling scent. Totally unique and visceral. I love it! This is a great and accurate review, thank you very much. See also Review number 51 on Persolaise Perfumes channel. He’s got some amazing insights because of where he grew up.

@@FragrancewithSteve Hi. Can I get your educated opinion? I need help deciding which fragrance to buy. If you had only a small yearly budget for a new fragrance would you buy: Montale Cuir D'arabie (which I LOVE from sample for myself but others may not like it) or the new Montale Fantastic Oud which I know and LOVE from a sample. Everyone who smelled me wearing it LOVED it.
Maybe I should buy Fantastic Oud now in March and then Cuir D'arabie at Christmas? (But my sample of Cuir D'arabie is empty and I need to smell it again. I crave it) What should I do?
I can’t and won’t ever tell someone what to do. You need to find out what is your personal best interest. Buy the fragrance that your heart desires. If you originally were drawn to Aoud Cuir d’Arabie, I would personally get the first love. Always time to get the newer fragrance later. Hope you find this a somewhat fitting answer to your question ✌🏻

@@FragrancewithSteve well tbh, we're all looking for that 1 in 1,000 frag. I certainly am always. And with this genra of frags that u like, it might be beneficial to you if u like heavy masculine frags, like me.
This one was love at first wear, but for someone that never has tried the truly middle Easter Oud... They will be in shock. I don't find the tobacco in it.

Aoud Leather is probably pushing a little more on the projection but it’s clean while Aoud cuir d’arabie is a dirty animalic leather
I tried this back a few years ago and at the time it seemed like a little too much dirty skank meets smoked meat, but man what i would do to give it a good lashing again. This is for your own personal selfishness and nothing more but if you can wear it to work spray big or go home.

Is it similar to al haramain oudh 36 nuit? Could you review al haramain oudh 36 nuit?
When I hear people say "fecal", I think Castoreum or civet. But those notes aren't in this one... what notes in this frag do you think merits decal? Thank you and good vid 👍
There is a synthetic type of oudh in this Montale. Lots of their fragrances actually. Very nice addition to the leather 😍

well I just got my hands on this one after almost 6 months. The fragrance is awesome exactly as described leathery, oud, barnyard ... but the biggest set back what I experienced is it becomes skin within 30 mins only. very poor longitivity would rate 0 out of 10 and also 0 for projection from 10. I stay in humid climate in Mumbai ( INDIA ) so that could be the reason for its poor performance ... no clue but ... complete waste of time effort and money. I do wear oud and leather based fragrances a lot so I do have nose for such fragrances but only because of its below average, poor performance I don't think it's worth it. why to spend money just to sniff some perfume. thanks
+jiggythehog sorry to hear it doesn't perform well on your skin. Hope you find something else that does. Do you know Santal Royal by Guerlain? Cinnamon spicy Leather with gentle oud in the base 👌
