  • The ARZOPA Portable Monitor is a buget display, and I have been really impressed so far. This works fine with phones, computers and games consoles and the 1080p 60hz screen provides a decent image.

I am using two of these monitors for my outdoor office. The model I have does not have the kickstand so I purchase two tablet stands to sit them on (more for ease of moving the set up in and out of the house). Hooked them up to an inland docking station with one mini hdmi going into the docking station and one straight to the laptop. I also had to run an anker mini dock to support the power to the monitors. It only worked if I plugged it directly into the laptop.
It looks cobbled together right now but it is working, I can make it pretty later!
    Nice monitors

what do you mean? it's a monitor not a computer ?

@@thebobman69 What he's asking is if the monitor will route a device connected via USB-C to the laptop. I.e. if the monitor is also a USB hub. If it's able to bring video signal from e.g. a Mac via USB-C/Thunderbolt, it should be able to pass devices back as well, but the manual and the website don't say anything like this.
There aren't quite enough ports for the use-case I have in mind (and which OP also appears to be thinking of) though, so an extra hub would be used, but here's the connection "diagram":
Use case 1: Connect mobile phone to monitor, and use wired keyboard and mouse (as opposed to Bluetooth)
      Intended connectivity:
      Monitor powered via USB-C 1
USB hub connected to USB-C 2
Phone connected to one USB-C port on the hub (USB-C to USB-C cable)
Keyboard, mouse connected two one USB-A port each on the hub
The limitation to overcome is due to the phone having a single USB-C port.
      Results:
      - Phone displays image on monitor (assuming the hub is of the appropriate quality)
      - Phone receives input from keyboard and mouse
      - Magic: you now have a very weird laptop, without any Samsung DeX or Asus Transformer stuff
On the other hand, the hub could go into the phone, and the monitor would just use the HDMI port.
(Just discovered that my phone has USB 2.0 on its port, and to do anything like the above would need USB 3.0)

I am quite satisfied with my monitor. It's an impressive piece of equipment with slightly average sound quality. Nevertheless, you can easily enhance the audio experience by connecting external speakers. The display produces sharp and clear images, although it takes some time to adjust the brightness to the desired level. Overall, it serves as a reliable and convenient travel monitor for situations when a monitor is needed urgently.

Yep, I agree. A decent monitor with poor internal speakers. Like you say, it is great to travel with and I can also just plug it into a power bank if not near a wall socket.

Yes if you like 1080p 60hz but they also have one that's 1080p 144hz.
