I was thinking that too. Then I was thinking, idk if the officer is older, has injuries (limitations), they carry a lot of gear that is weighing a TON, etc... IDK if he could hurdle a fence, climb a shed, and pull himself up to that window like the young man who helped did. Not everyone has those amazing physical abilities. A ladder may have been the cops only way to physically get to that window. I'm so happy that those other people were there to help get those children out of there. That was a group effort and I think that everyone was amazing.
I'm a little confused bcuz the first child was taken out and then all of a sudden there was a baby too. Did the same guy go back in? They didn't show who saved the second baby. After the person handed the baby out, they moved the camera and then they just said the male is coming out now. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ That whole situation could have been BEYOND tragic. I hope the bystanders know just how wonderful they truly are. 🫶🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@Goldie789I looked up that first officer and he had been on the job for only 6 months. He didn’t offer his regulator to the civilian who broke the glass with bare hands and had that noxious black smoke pouring into his face when he climbed up (without a ladder) to save the children but the officer just yelled orders. I saw a different version of this video and he was told there were 2 children in that apartment maybe I missed it but I didn’t hear him pass on that info to the other officer leaving the seen to get the baby to the medics. I know the civilian was honored and I hope the officer watched this video and has used this experience to build on his skills and work. I hate to dog pile on him it’s a hard job and a thankless job but if you’re going to do it then you must serve and protect. Fight or flight is a real thing.

It must be so worrying having a parent in law enforcement in this day and age. Rest assured that in spite of the popular media narrative that everyone hates the police, there are many of us out here who support our officers and would absolutely stop and help if we could be of assistance

the nurse reminded me of an incident in high school. Me and my dad were driving along a road when someone threw a sharp object through the window and it almost hit me, could have ended real bad if it was a few center meters forwards. We stopped off and while my dad called the police, I was stunned with chock and just curled up into a ball on the ground, A nearby nurse who was passing saw me and came over to help. Since then, i have always respected those who put themselves into these fields.

Also the cop isnt suited to handle fire in general. They dont fight fire, but criminals. Also even as a cop, your own safety comes always first.

Whoever invented the modern AED is awesome. They're pretty much dummy-proof. If you mess up using one, then.. well.. something is wrong with YOU lol.
But remember, with or without one, if you feel no pulse don't just go "well.. he's dead." Chest compressions! Non-stop until EMT's arrive or the person starts breathing on their own. Even if the AED detects a pulse, in the case of opioid overdose the person may still not start breathing on their own again. If you get a pulse back on an OD, give a sternum rub to see if they respond and take a breath. AED locations usually have re-breathers in there as well, so give a couple pumps and keep going with chest compressions. You may just save someone's life and/or prevent them from being brain dead.
I love when people say that they don’t consent to getting out of the vehicle, for example, and that they know their laws. lol. Great way to get your window busted out, forcefully removed from the vehicle, and then charged for it!

The first suspect clearly doesn't know that if a officer smells any illegal substances, then that is probable cause of the officer to detain him, and search his vehicle all he wants to.

this is actually wild, the one in livonia MI i was at and didnt even know what was happening, holy wow.
used to work for a landscaping/ sprinkler company. we did the sprinklers to that vision place. the sprinklers that are goin off in the video are the sprinklers i was there fixing. was a nightmare. they aeorated the area and whoever did the job orginally ran lines really shallow, so there was punches thru a ton of the line that we had to fix.. i remember seeing an officer run past us in the parking lot and just thought "hmm whats going on?" and my dad was also mad confused.... wow never would i have thought this youtube video would have that. im mind blown right now, its been over 3 years since that and i finally found out why that cop was running thru that parking lot....
