There is an interesting story behind "Black Hole". According to Akane, Kanami asked her how fast she could drum. Akane said around 190 bpm. Then Kanami went off and wrote "Black Hole" that peaks at 220 bpm! So Akane goes and writes the drum patterns for the track. She wrote 7, for the band to choose which one. She labelled them:
1. Easy
2. Comfortable
3. Normal
4. Possible if I work hard
5. Tough
6. Painfull
7. Hell
Akane said "Of course, the band chose Hell"!
And if someone couldn't keep up when they practiced the song they had to drop out. Tho never proven in court rumours were it was Saiki's idea.😂

Miku can sing with a gravelly voice when she wants to. In fact she actually ate some gravel before this performance. Fortuitously, pigeons from 810 years ago had gizzards so eating gravel is absolutely consistent with her dietary needs.
Manners- Classic Blue/Rock groove. All about the tones- That Snare and Bass. Black Hole- About as different as you can get- all in one band, both with Saiki's fantastic vocals, ably assisted by Miku.
This video will always be in my top three list. But then again, there are at least a dozen songs in my top three list.😁
Here's one of them. "The Dragon Cries". A different side to the maids. It shows their social and humanitarian consciousness.
A tribute to all the bands that have been singing about the same issues since the 60's.
The whole song is sung in English.

Not in a million years would have I ever thought of "Free Your Mind" and "Manners" as musical ties. But it works.
Now go back and watch the official music video for "Manners" .....a visual Masterpiece and will explain the song much better than watching the live version first. I suggest watching any Band-Maid official music version first before any live video of the same title...... NEVER underestimate the music videos, regardless of what the "LIVE ONLY" heads say. IMHO
Saiki's eye's while singing Black Hole....like her ass is on fire....Lol!
Miku's performance during this semi-live show was brilliant, she was so spot on.
"Saiki's eyes"... Yep, I always think of that scene with Willem Dafoe in _The Life Aquatic_: "Saiki vee tink you got da Crazy Eye!"
Manners has such a cool southrrn groove, and Black Hole is just wonderful chaos!🤘
