This video shows the mod/modification process of wiring LED lights and switches on a kids Power Wheels® Disney Frozen Jeep® Wrangler--by Fisher-Price. If you ever wanted to modify your kid's frozen power wheels jeep and put LED lights on it, you should watch this video. It takes you through the whole process of taking it apart, wiring the switches, running the wires, and installing the LED lights.
My kid loves it and we go out at night and people are always commenting how cool it is to have lights on a Disney Frozen Power wheels jeep.
I would say that the skill level on the project is moderate to advanced. You will need some basic equipment and knowledge of ohms law because the LED lights on this Disney Frozen Power Wheels Jeep will burn out if you have too much power going into them.
Equipment needed: Soldering iron, volt meter, solder, wire, resistors, LED bulbs, drill, drill bit, switches.
You will need to understand Parallel circuits.
Thanks for watching. Please subscribe, please comment. Thumbs up are appreciated.

This is what my wife wants me to do with our daughters frozen jeep wrangler, this is definitely a honey-to do list thanks man awesome job.
6:07 the golden moment lol. Always something on the honey-to-do list =) Thanks for the video..4 years later =)
Always!
I love everything about this. Brilliant
Let's not get carried away, EPIC!
Awesome work! You should try and wrap an old bike tire around the drive wheels I did that to my daughter's jeep cause we have a steep shale driveway and she kept losing traction going up the hill with the stock plastic tires.
Awesome. Great job!
awesome.
I DID SAME I WORK GOOD MY KID HAS SAME JEEEP THANK YOU
Awesome work! I plan on doing this to my son's jeep. Is there a way you could list all of the products used and maybe diagram on wiring them?
Now they just make the headlights stickers on these things? Mine from 2008 has plastic clear plexi glass on it.
Wow! What a great video!!!!
Thanks!
Does adding LEDs drain the battery much faster?
What awg wire do you use on the lights and switches? I know the wires in the power wheels are 12 awg I think.
what was the value of the resistors?
hola saludos desde Venezuela de cuantos ohmios son las resistencias que le colocaste a los led para que aguantara los 12 voltios?? gracias
I know that you have a nice boat called a Gheenoe, I have one too, I wish you would do a video on how to put in a false bottom/deck and how to hook up some navigation lights. I know all the guys and gals who own these great boats would love to see how it is done.
I just did this for my granddaughter without looking it up dummy me I put to bright of bulbs and melted one of the headlights 😂 b hi t it still turned out awesome
Good Video.
i'm wondering why the LEDs light look dim. I expect those to be much brighter. Any reason for this?
I was wonder maybe not getting enough juice to reach all those LEDS through the Displacement Connector.
Wonder if you turn it into 24V if would help.
+TheSprolesman ---> Hi. The LEDs hardly dimmed at all from adding the resistors. My guess is that if you wanted to make them brighter, you would have to some how encase them in a reflective mirrored housing like real headlights are on real cars. Even flashlights have a reflective housing that focuses the light a little better, so that would be interesting if you could take the lens out of a few flashlights and mount them where you want them. Hey, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the video!
radio shack? where did you find a radio shack open in 2016?
Funny enough, the one around the corner was going out of business as I was filming this video. I was able to get a bunch of cool electronic parts for cheap.
you should look up 12v eagle eyes on eBay and replace the fog lights on the role bar with those they have a nice beam and it will look way better then the small ones
+Deborah Ivan -- > Thanks!! I'll check it out. She still uses this jeep and the lights are still working almost a year later. Maybe it's time for an upgrade!
I was hoping your video would show How you connected the lights wires to the battery?
That was the original plan, but it took me most of the day to do this project and this video would be way too long. Your best bet is to look at a parallel circuit. That's basically how I did it.
Is that the pick plastic piece near the battery that can be seen if the video is paused at 2:08? If it is where can I buy that piece from?
Hi. You gotta look for something like this: goo.gl/BFlxl4 Its what I used.
Its a wire splicer. You can splice your light wires off your battery.
where did you find the front light??
I bought all the LEDs at RadioShack. I'd recommend looking for the LED bulbs online. You can buy them here: amzn.to/2Ke556V
should have used automotive leds. most are already rated for 14 volts give or take. i used some on my sons PW 4 wheeler and they are damn near as brite as headlights.
Can you get individual automotive LED light bulbs (bulb with two wires coming off) or do you have to buy LED bulb assemblies with the plastic lenses?
How many dollars was all that together?
About $20
Needs a dash light and lights under the sides.
caught your video,...and looking at it you didn't really have to add all those resistors you just needed 1 soldered on each led. check out my videos on my channel but great work though. yaw did a awesome job together.
Thanks... I wanted to make sure that I did not burn out the LEDs. The battery has too many volts.
Rite, an your welcome yeah Im running my sons mustang 24Volts and it also has a 12 volt under the hood for all the electronics....
Check it out it's the orange Cheetos Mustang with a 6" lift kit and spinning wheels
+Cadillac Escalade-- I couldn't find it. send me the link....
