    Funniest part - Stockton and Robinson were 2 of the most wholesome dudes in the league.

      Robinson was still wholesome while turning the other cheek in this clip; it was Stockton that displayed incredible beastly strength in body slamming the Admiral

      don't be fooled by that boyish look that Stockton had though... Rodman, no less, called John the dirtiest player in the league during that time... LOL

      Yeah, Stockton was wholesome before and after games, but he was a bad man whenever he stepped on the court. For his size, there’s never been anyone tougher. He wasn’t scared of anything, and he didn’t take any crap off anybody.

    The Jazz played great regardless, but there's a good chance Rodman's theatrics in Game 2 cost the Spurs this series. His forearm on Malone and cheap shot to Stockton's knee came in the fourth quarter of a game that was already decided (Spurs were down 75-49 entering the fourth - the closer final score is a result of garbage time). One can argue Rodman shouldn't have been out there in the first place, but there's also an argument that getting thrown out and suspended for something you did while down 30 in the fourth quarter of a playoff game is quite a poor strategic decision.

    With Rodman, it's crazy he was doing all that provoking with Malone and he still proceeded to get lit up. Malone dogged him this series.

    I would say haha Stockton 6'1 taking down Robinson 7'1 but that dude Stockton was tough. Good luck future point guards getting close to his steals and assists records. Robinson went down faster than an innocent church boy in a priest's private office!

      In the 97-'98 season in Duncan's rookie year Robinson averaged 21pts and 10Rebs a game. I wouldn't call that the end of his peak and if Robinson was a role player then he is the greatest role player to ever play the game. LOL espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/715/david-robinson

    Why Does Rodman get suspended for Game 3 just because he kneed stockon in the thigh

    • @Swove2204
      @Swove2204 Před 3 lety +5

      There were two plays that cost him. Game 2 was all but over before the fourth quarter even started (Jazz were up 75-49 at the end of three) yet Dennis Rodman felt compelled to forearm Malone in the head in the fourth quarter (very first clip of the video above) THEN cheap shot Stockton a few minutes later. Even then, he wasn't ejected until a moment later when he was T'd up for taunting.
      The game broadcast stated it was his second technical but I don't recall the first, unless it came after he low-bridged Tom Chambers in the first half (which actually ended up with Chambers getting ejected).
      Rodman earned that suspension. He basically tried to load up every tech and flagrant possible.

    • @georgestamatakis697
      @georgestamatakis697 Před 3 lety +2

      The late David Stern hated his guts. That's why he got all those suspensions.

      During that series rodman literally stomped on Adam Keefes chest like he was a log.
      yea rodman had a suspension coming and deserved it for sure.
      They should really remove such a player for longer periods if they just repeatedly prove theyre just a goon out to injure people.
