    A great overview and opinion video that reflected my own experiences. I just went on a Yamaha Demo Tour and got to ride the 2024 XSR-900 back-to-back with with the 2024 MT-09 and Tracer 9 GT+ after going in thinking I'd be Team MT-09. Afterwards, though, the XSR-900 stole my heart and will be in my garage next year. The MT-09 was good and the Tracer really surprised me; I'd grab one if it weren't for the price tag. What really sealed the deal for the XSR, in my opinion, is that it costs a little less than the MT-09, but had more personality with much better looks, and the MT-09 SP that I had my sights on costs an extra $2800 (CAD) over the standard version which is a much bigger ask than everywhere else in the world - only an $1800 CAD jump when converting US price differences and a $2000 CAD bump when comparing to the UK/Europe, which is defitinely a kick in the d*ck. So, the down payment is continuing to grow, the old bike will be listed next spring and there'll be a new XSR-900 in my garage next riding season. Can't wait.

    Interesting. I’ve had four Yamaha triples since ‘14, and have simply modified and adapted. I prefer the first gen bikes, but appreciate the evolution of the brand. I don’t consider the newer bikes to be anything but completely new takes on previous models, which is not a bad thing. I may love to argue about which I prefer, but it’s not important. Yamaha kept pushing forward with their triples, something you have to applaud. Same thing triumph has been doing. Like it or not, it’s not boring. 👍

    The New 2023/4 Triumph Street Triple R (Similar Cost to XSR9). certainly giving the XSR9 a run. More HP, 125 less CC. How'd they do this? The XSR9 has a few more Ft/Lbs of Torque though. Not sure which is faster.. Torque is usually the Boner Maker.. We need a new Review of the XSR9 VS the New Street Triple R.

    • @dimsunny9725
      @dimsunny9725 Před 10 měsíci

      The Street Triple has better suspension, handling & brakes, so will be faster to ride 7 also providing a more "planted" & racier feel. Also, the more forward position of the Triumph puts your upper body lower than on the XSR900. The 3ple needs to be rev' ed much higher than the Yammie which has better torque lower down, so it really depends on your riding style.

    It's funny how they put CP in all the marketing for the inline 3s. There's nothing special about the 3 like there can be about the CP4 and CP2. Those are legitimately crossplane bikes or odd firing interval. The I3 has only one way you can layout the crank and still have a balanced-ish engine. So all the crossplane marketing is kinda goofy and just to match the Yamaha design ethos

    Crossplane inspired 3 cylinder? There's nothing crossplane about it. It's just an ordinary 3 cylinder bike.

      all 120° 3 cylinders are naturally "cross plane" in that the planes of the crank pins cross each other.

    This bike is decades late. I'm still shaking my head about buying the FZ6 in 2006. The North American models sucked.
