    Whatever you demo with THAT bass would sound terrific. That Fender Jazzz bass is one of the most beautiful examples of these models, the color, matching headstock and so on. The only not original thing is Guy Pratt replaced the original pickups with EMG in the early 80s. This bass was a gift from David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), btw and was used by Guy while touring with the band

    @yekshemesh4alig it is loud enough for small venues say a few hundred and if you wanna use it at home, just turn it down, still sounds great :)

    Almost right, a DI is a direct out to a mixer/PA system vwhich sends the raw bass signal after the input gain (but in this amp and several others you can also include the EQ/compressor/other tone stuff in the DI signal or just have the raw bass sound)

    Jenty, the D.I. (Direct.Input.) is to run the signal from the pre-amp section of the amp direct to the input on a mixer (front of house and monitor mixes).
    This built-in D.I. eleviates the need for a D.I. box (a small metal box with converts the signal direct from the bass into the mixing board. A built-in D.I. goes from the pre-amp of the amp to the board) tobbe used between the bass and amp.

    Hi, volume wise would this amp be able to keep up in a rehearsal room without going into distortion ?

  • @JentySteP
    @JentySteP Před 11 lety

    DI = Direct Inject or Direct Input they mean the same thing, basically on the amp if you would plug your bass into this input you'll bypass all the EQ, all the compression all that type of stuff that shapes the tone. The DI bass input would bypass all of that and go straight into the power amp of your amp which has no EQ or Compression what so ever, Your tone will be flat.
    Anyone if i'm being stupid and i've told this guy the wrong thing can you please tell me :D

    I'm new to bass so can someone please explain what the difference is in sound and volume between this one and the 15"? Could this one (12") be used for gigs? I'm looking for an amp that's not too loud for bedroom practice but loud enough for some small gigs. I've had a look at a Gallien Krueger MD115, which seemed pretty good for the price.

      I had a 5 15 back in the day which I played an Epiphone Thunderbird through… 15 inch speaker was loud enough but I found it a little muddy… I went onto a MAG 300 4x10 combo and that was clear as a bell.
      I am now using a Rootmaster 420 head and RM 4x10 cab - which I LOVE ❤️ - it’s perfect for gigging! I’ve just picked up an Electric Blue 180 with a 12 inch speaker for practice (!)
      I much prefer the 10’s for clarity.
      All the very best!
      👍🏻😎👍🏻

    Nice enough amp but a very quiet 180 watts, more like a 50 watt. That Jazz has active pups in it😎

    How are we supposed to hear the sound of the speaker for real if they´re sending the line signal to the video?

    When using this at a gig i would like to connect it through the PA. How would i go about doing this, i'm not sure whether to be using the line out at the back or the DI on the front?
