    I cut my celery pieces no bigger than 1/4 of an inch and it makes a huge difference. I can fill the entire juice cup supplied with the Shine without any problems. Never gets clogged as it did when I was using larger piecesI and I find that I get a lot more juice this way! I love my juicer. I had the Omega and found it was taking too much counter space and this replacement is just great! I hope you try this and that it will work for you all as well, if this is an issue for you!

    I am using this shine juicer for last one year, the auger housing is made up With low build quality and there is two points created inside the auger housing surface one is for pulp outlet and second is for holding juicer screen to auger housing if You are making the Juice of celery or raw turmeric then it get clogged even though you chopped the items to one inches and fibrous produce get stucked inside the round empty space which is at the bottom of auger and inside the jucing screen causing it to move upward towards the safety Lid then it's hard to open auger housing when you finish juicing . The worse thing is, it will cause crack in auger housing while juicing.
    I have changed two times the auger housing this is the drawback in it.
    The Motor of Juicer is powerful, having good exhaust and ventilator system .the build quality of motor is Very good. It gives good Juice yield.

      Happy * Hello! Thanks for your comments on your experience with the Shine. I haven’t experienced the weak parts on any of the Shines that I have used. Sorry that has happened on yours! I have had some issues like you describe with things backing up like the celery ginger turmeric. A couple tricks that I have found help are 1. mix in some other easier juicing, higher water, less fibrous items like apple, melon, etc when juicing celery ginger and turmeric together. It helps move things through. Also, 2. I’ll use the flat end of the cleaning brush to occasionally dig into the pulp chute are to help keep the pulp moving. Hope those tips can help! Thanks again for your comments and keep the juice flowing! 🌈❤️🌈

      @@JuiceFeaster Love u. Thanks.
      The flat end of the cleaning brush to dig into the pulp chute to keep the pulp moving does not work all time if you are juicing celery . I do not mix any other things in celery (as suggested by Anthony william Medical Medium).
      The only Ways is to cut the item in very small pieces less then one inch.

    Really nice breakdown of the Shine. Im def gonna get a vertical juicer one of these days, esp to use for travelling:) Question: Do you finely chop your stringy produce (ie celery, pineapple) even when you use the Greenstar? I wonder what would happen if you just ran whole stalks of celery through the Shine?? That extra step is a discouraging for me, a lazy man haha :)

    • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 4 lety +2

      Sustainability Starts Within awesome! Thanks! Yeah I never chop anything on the green star, but always do on the shine. I have juiced pineapple without chopping into chunks and it does ok. Celery tends to plug a little sooner when you don’t chop. It seems to be that way on all verticals that I’ve tested. The shine is sooo good for travel! Light weight, compact, quiet and clean.

    Can I use it to make 3-4 liters in a row, so I can make all my juice in one sitting? I heard that the Shine should only run for 10 minutes.

    • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello! Depending on the type ingredients, it should be ok. I routinely make 3-6 liters of pineapple, melon or grape juice with it with no problems at all. If you’re making juices with mostly hard roots like beets, ginger & turmeric or celery, it might be a little more stress on the machine. I know that Tribest recommends not running it longer than 10 min at a time but, honestly, in 3 years of using my Shine a lot, I’ve never had it shut off or lock up on me. Hope that helps! • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 2 lety

      Hello! Yes you can do that for sure! I also like to make veggie crackers in the dehydrator with the pulp. Here’s a basic recipe: 4 cups pulp, 1/4 cup chia seeds, add water to get to a damp consistency. Spread 1/4 inch thick on a dehydrator sheet and dehydrate 8-10 hours. Flip and dry another 2 hours.
      You can also add in additional minced veggies and spices to vary the flavor. I like to add curry powder, Italian or mexican spices as well to mix it up!
      Great with raw dips, dressings, & toppings!
      For citrus and melon rinds and any other pulp we don’t make crackers with, we compost it and make rich garden soil to grows more produce in. Great question, thanks for asking and thanks for tuning in! 🤗

      Hey! With almost every vertical juicer, especially in this price range, pulp gets through. I use a fine mesh strainer and pour the juices through it to remove what gets through. I use this strainer: geni.us/Strainer
      To avoid that, you’d need to upgrade to one of the juicers better suited for celery with better extraction and yield with less pulp. Such as this one:
      geni.us/GreenStarJuicer
      Or this one: geni.us/Sana
      Or the one with the absolute best juice yield and absolutely zero pulp in the juice: geni.us/PURE
      In its price range, the Shine juicer that you have is the best. For $100-150 range, it’s tough to beat in my opinion.

      Hello! Thanks for your comment and I’m sorry that you’re having some problems with it clogging. You probably already know this, but for all vertical juicers, I chop the produce into 1/4”-1/2” pieces. This helps prevent the fibers from clogging up the pulp outlet chute. Also, alternating between produce ingredients helps prevent clogging on all vertical juicers. In addition, I keep an eye on the pulp outlet chute. If I see the pulp slowing down, I take the flat end of the cleaning brush and make a couple of digs at the pulp in the chute while it’s running to keep the pulp moving. These are tips that help me a lot on all vertical juicers to prevent clogging. Hope that can help! Thanks again for tuning into my channel and your comment! ❤️
