John is definitely the #1 expert on juicers in the world. I appreciate the kindred honesty and integrity. Thanks for being the most trustworthy in the industry!
I sent my Mom videos on juicing and eating raw foods and she was like, "OMG, I've watched this guy's gardening tips for years."
Hey Mr John! you should do a Shine XL vs Original Shine juicers Thanks
Great video! I'm loving my Shine XL. It's so easy to clean. It's true that the pulp is wetter and the amount of juice produced is lower than with most juicers. I think this is the reason why the Shine XL will last for many years. If the juicer squeezed more juice from the pulp, higher stresses would be put on the motor and all of the plastic parts, which would increase the likelihood of it breaking.
Thank you John for all the great work you put into these videos. About to start juicing and had being watch a few of your videos. All very helpful in selecting the right juicer for a beginner. Didn’t want to invest too much but wanted good quality product to start. The XL shine seems to be the one for me. Purchased it right away and felt good about it. Will keep watch for all the great info you put out. Thank you.
I find that you have an interesting way to present these juicing machines. At times you are kinda funny, just that your personality is great. Love to see your reviews. Cheers!
The juice looks so pretty haha. Thanks for the review 😊
Thanks so much, I will buy my first juicer and after some research. i believe i learn a lot from you. so thanks for the discount and the 3 years warranty sounds pretty awesome. Cheers from Calgary,Alberta,Canada
Great review, as always!! I actually like pulp in my juice. When I used to buy OJ, I always bought the high pulp juice. As you said, gives more fiber!
Hi your reviews are very good and very professional! Thank you for making those videos. Can you do a video for comparison between Hurom 310 and Hurom 200? Because both the juicers extract more juices so the video will be great.
Love it. Will purchase for our little rv. Have the Sana 727 for the big house. Both from Discount Juicers. John is the best!

This is great, thx u.. plan on starting with this,, will use coupon..
Sounds like a good travel 👌machinery is well designed. Love my J2 thank you for the demo.
Just order one form you. Can’t wait to try it
Great video. Thank you. Stainless steel juicing screens or aluminum?
Hi John
Can you do a video comparing shine XL and shine SJV-107? Your the only one that can compare the 2 and provide honest comparison. I’m really on the fence on the two. I know I’m buying a shine just can’t decide between the two. I juice once a day about 2-3 cups.
Thanks for all your videos, I learned quite a bit from them. I am looking to buy a new juicer and can't decide if I should buy this Shine Juicer or VSJ843 Juicer, J2 is a little too expensive for me. I am looking for a quality vertical juicer that is not overly expensive since I only use it occasionally.
If you just juice occasionally this would be the cheaper option. The VSJ843 would be for more serious juicing and is a great sturdy juicer.
Hi John. Can I use it with 220 Volts and 60 Hz? Those are voltage and frequency in Peru.
It would have been nice if you could put up a link to where you can buy these juicers when you live in Europe too.. 🤔
Hello, my mom has a Shine Xl Juicer and I decided to try making oat milk with dry oats and water without doing any prior research. Now the auger is stuck in the feeding chute and I cannot get it out, any tips on getting it unstuck? Would greatly appreciate!
Shine XL vs Hurom h310a would be a good comparison video for those on a budget
Hello John, Thanks for all the information you provide about juicing. Always a great show! I have more of a question than a comment. I'm just getting into juicing and don't know which one to get. My budget is under $200. I'm looking at the either the Shine XL Juicer or the NutriBullet Slow Juicer. Which would you recommend for a Juicer Newbie? Thank you.
Shine XL is better than the nutribullet.
Thank you. I have since purchased the Kuvings B6000 Whole Juicer.
great video. I wonder if this juicer can also do milks like almond milk etc
i saw a video he said is better user a blender. less wast of nuts
CN you do the original vs the new ?
How does the shine xl compare to the Nama J2
Can anyone explain to me the 20 minutes run time
Does it mean i cant juice fir more than 20minutee ?
It means that you should only use the juicer a maximum of 20 minutes. Then you need to turn the machine off and let is cool down for maybe 30-60 minutes before using it again, or it may overheat and cause motor issues. This is a light-duty juicer not meant for large volumes.
Are the parts dishwasher safe?
How is it with celery
If price isn't an issue, do you think the Hurom 310 might be a better, compact juicer? Will you be doing a comparison? As far as I can tell, I think I would like it better because it's almost like a mini Nama J2. It has a hopper, a dial on the front of the machine and the juice and pulp spouts are on opposite sides/further apart on the bowl.
I understand you did a review of the bigger 300 unit and showed the flimsy and/or delicate inside of the auger. But I think if someone treats it with care when assembling/disassembling and storing, then that would solve the only real problem (besides price) and be a better experience, imo.
Truth be told, though, I think there really should be a compact Nama J2.
Very interesting comment and I wish and hope that John will respond to it,
Have you ever tried freezing the juice you make so you could make more than a weeks worth at a time
How does the XLmshine work on celery and leafy greens? Do u have to worry about clogging?
It works fine for celery but I was doing cabbage and it’s a bit difficult as it gets clogged on the sides and doesn’t go down.
You could try grating or shredding the cabbage first.
Does the SHINE have a reverse button?
The shine XL is pretty decent for the price. The only thing I hate is the top chute and it’s swivel piece at the top that you can’t remove.
Yeah I’m kind of OCD-ing about that little flip thing at the top and also the way it’s one big piece you can’t take apart to clean better.
Where to buy this in Europe?
Is it just me, or this juicer louder than the average vertical and horizontal slow or cold juicers? It does have an high pitch noise when in operation, or what?
I can't seem to get international shipping from the manufacturer or find the checkout button on your website John. Do you have any recommendations on how to get 2 units to Australia?
I am not aware this item is available in Australia at this time. You would need to contact the tribest distributor in Australia. That being said if you did order from the USA the shipping would be $160 USD additional to ship the 2 units to Australia. Plus you will not have a warranty if you don't order it from the Tribest Distributor in Australia. If you wish to forego the warranty and dont mind the shipping, contact me at www.discountjuicers.com/help.html and I may be able to help further.
Thanks for the information :))
Bought this juicer and it worked well until it leaked THROUGH the juice bowl gasket into the motor. I hope mine was just defective
Did you juice a lemon with the peel on?
Yes he did, I know the rind is very healthy also
What if you want a Juicer that is quite and can Juice root and leafy green vegetables and fruits
The most quiet juicer I have ever tested is the Sana 727 running at 40 RPM its almost silent. It can juice leafy greens, roots and fruits. See czcams.com/video/UUPB5qwNiSY/video.html
@@discountjuicers would you say the Sana 727 is better than the Nama J2? I’m torn between the two.
@@lmorgandiaz Sana has way better warranty, better extraction of root and green vegetables, easier to clean .
The J2 better to bulk juice ,less cutting ,better on large fruits ,cheaper .
@@hanig11 thank you!
@@lmorgandiaz Depends on what is most important to you. see czcams.com/video/9ArS3oVbut4/video.html and czcams.com/video/wxS6S2_Fb7s/video.html
