The Venom F5 is also the only hypercar that uses a cammed pushrod V8! The design is also so beautiful, it won the prestigious Red Dot design award. Its all bespoke and all American 🇺🇸
A cammed pushrod V8...... Dude. Its just a dragster-tuned Corvette engine. What is with you people and your flagwaving. Its the only "hypercar" that isnt a hypercar at all. And JUST like the equally fake SSC Tuatara, they both use a tuned Corvette engine that doesnt have anything CLOSE to 1817 HP. They have around 1100.
Notice how you never see them with number plates. Because its not road legal in ANY country. It doesnt even have airbags.

I dont make the decisions, dude. Its just a dragster-tuned Corvette engine. And it runs at around 1150-something HP. FAR from the 1817 they like to claim.
This thing is also not road legal in any country, and its about as "American" as socialised healthcare. If you have any questions, I know everything that is to know about this thing. But John Hennessey is the Alex Jones of the car world and you cant trust anything he tells you. He is a grifter. -And this is one of his scams.

Gotta buy a Koenigsegg for the refridgerated cup holder at that price. Plus, it has a keep hot feature as well. Not to mention the Koenigsegg and almost all parts are designed and fabricated in house. Not bolt on etc etc from other companies. A completely different realm of car making in my uneducated CZcams addicted couch surfing opinion.

The designer of that car has to have played GTA 5. There are parts of this car that look directly inspired by a few of the hyper cars in that game. It looks amazing. 3 million though... I could buy a mansion for that price. Or a two bedroom apartment in San Francisco.... Also, there is over 2 Viper engine's of HP under that hood and the engine weigh's less than one. That's crazy.

Yeah for 3 million, you would expect to get something that doesnt run on kit-car number plates. Something with airbags, something which has legal VIN / Chassis numbers. This is not... A real "hypercar" and its not worth anything close to millions of dollars as long as it has to run on kit-car plates. With a dragster-tuned Corvette engine.

Hennessey has screwed over more than a few people. I love every car he's made especially the Exorcist but he's a terrible business man and an even worse person
11:48. Looks like a fighter jet interior with you in it. Super nice car. Upside to expensive cars is you can drive most of them, and sell them for what you paid or even make some. I personally would be happy with a new mach one that has a 6 speed manual and a whipple.

America's hypercar! The F5 is an absolute beast! Fury is the right name for this engine.
American hypercar, indeed. Remember the previous "American hypercar" ?? The SSC Tuatara? It quickly turned out to be just a tuned Corvette engine with nothing CLOSE to the claimed performance. The only difference is that Hennessey F5 was built in England by Delta Motorsport, while the SSC Tuatara (which is bankrupt now) got built in Italy by a LeMans racecar company. So they may well be good cars. But they are zero % American.
So "AMERICAS HYPERCARS" both of them, are not road legal cars in any country, and also not American.

There are not many Tuataras... They managed to build 2 or 3. And then the Italian LeMans racing company that 100% built them... Pulled out of the project. Probably because they didnt want to be part of this american scam.
When SSC got busted faking that world record, the Italian LeMans racing company took SSC off their website, and I believe they have since pulled entirely out of the project.
So Hennessey F5 and SSC Tuatara. The scam they are running is that they pay these foreign race car companies 1-2 million dollars a pop to make cars for them. Then they ship these cars over to America in crates. In crates with ready-built parts. So that the Americans can just rent a warehouse (like SSC does) or use their tuneshop warehouse like Hennesey does, where they have 6 cornfed local boys screwing these crates together to a finished car.Using all these ready built crates. They do this because then they dont have to impor tax them as cars. And then they can legally call the car "American built" So that they can get kit-car number plates on them.
So they are professionally built by experts in Italy and England, but to an American standard. So ZERO crash testing, no emissions certification, no health & safety, no federalisation, no nothing. Because in America you can put kit-car number plates on anything. The cars dont even have airbags.
Why dont they have airbags on a 2-3 million dollar car? Because if they have airbags, then they would have to be responsible for the airbags deploying properly, which means crash testing, and federalisation for insurance and liability rates, and its a lot of expensive testing and paperwork.
And they use Corvette engines that are FAR from the performance numbers they claim. To get their wild HP numbers, they would have to run them on bio ethanol and stuff. And even then they can only do a couple of drag strip runs and hten its over. They cannot DRIVE on the full power. Its just a Corvette engine after all.
So yeah. They screw together car parts that come in crates from England (Hennessey F5) and Italy (SSC Tuatara) and then they CLAIM they are all-american hypercars. And then they pay 1-2 million bucks to the companies that really built the cars, and then they slap a 1-2 million dollar profit on top of them. So thats the scam.
Hennessey is a known scammer. So nothing new there. And SSC got caught faking that top speed world record, but most people dont remember he also got busted faking that woooorld record top speed back in 2007 too. So there you go. American scams.

I would honestly be nervous to drive a super fast car that has never been crash tested and has exactly zero airbags. Can you elaborate a bit on what the factory said about legalisation? Because its actually not road legal in ANY country. And Hennessey did not make this car themselves. It arrives 100% ready built from a company called Delta Motorsports in England. Its the exact same as SSC Tuatara. Except SSC cars are built in Italy by an Italian LeMans car manufacturer... The same company Jim Glickenhaus uses to build their cars. These cars are as "American" as socialised healthcare.

Yeah. Why do you think they have not let the whole critical motor press drive this thing? Have you ever seen one with number plates? This is not a REAL car, dude. It has exactly zero airbags, no crash testing, no Federalisation of any kind. No type approval, no legal VIN / Chassis numbers, and also not FIA approved for racing. And that MAGIC 1817 HP engine, is just a dragster-tuned Corvette engine. And it only produces a bit over 1100 HP. Not over 1800. Not even close. Its just a Corvette engine after all.

jesus it sounds like a freakin' f18 hornet. its awesome John made his dream but i take a Ruf CTR anyday everyday but thats just me. in case anyone doesnt know its tire technology that is limiting the quest for speed. weve been building engines that a 300mph engine for 10 years but to just get a special crazy tire designed for 30 cars is many millions of dollars. Reeves Callaway did all that in the late 80's. no car should be able to go over 225mph. its all about how quick you get there my wife says!!!! LOL cheers. what a machine!!! outstanding.

I would like to say one thing I would like to say arguably you have one of the best car channels on CZcams especially your approach.. I honestly think you could go to the stratosphere with your channel.. continue to reach for more and figure out how to become insured or something in order to test drive the cars the way you would really like to.. and we would love to see..it would make your channel so much better than any of the sponsor drowned/ network car channels...your growth shows already. add another level of awesome..

@@mkz8960 Facts, everything is made outside of murica and shipped in wooden boxes to the texas assembly plant, it's not even a manufacturing factory. Their cars aren't crash tested, don't come with airbags, road legal only in 50 states and that too when they have to be registered using show and display rule otherwise they can't even be road registered!

As an enthusiast, I would have no desire to drive a car of this caliber if I'm not allowed to at least give it a few decent pulls. Obviously not full bore on public streets but to at least see and feel what separates this from traditional supercars. You're not feeling a difference just cruising around at 50 mph.

@@danmyers9372 Lexus IS F it’s a 5 L V-8 forged internals, 11 to 1 compression 2 oil scavengers, it has titanium intake valves, and the engine takes 10 quarts of oil that Lexus Maybe made I think 5000 of our cars.

Great car to take to the Bonneville salt flats but not so great to take to the golf course. You got to have the big bucks to buy cars like this to add to your collection.

Man I know your channel is all about Classic Restomods and Classic muscle vehicles but I have really wanted to see some true Super and Hypercars on this channel. Most of the channels that review hypercars and supercars are kinda nerdy in nature and not true car guys. I would love to see you review stuff like that Saleen S7 and maybe even get a Calvo Viper on your channel. THAT would be a treat, especially for you since they are based out of California. These Gen 5 vipers usually have about 2500-3500 hp and the guy does so much work to them they don't spin. It is a soul changing experience. I know myself I want to build my own luxury sport car line. I'm tired of European cars dominating the space.

Well he's still in business, and customers still send their cars to him, so if he is still scamming, then no one knows about it. Back when he was pulling parts off one customers car to put on another he exacerbated the situation by being a dick on his social media and forum accounts. I'd assume his reputation is still intact

The Hennessey Venom was just a Chop-shopped Lotus Exige, yes. Just a chopshopped Lotus with a Corvette engine. The work was done in England by the same company that made this F5 car. its NOT a real road legal car.

John Hennessey didnt create it. This thing was built in England by a British racecar builder. John Hennessey runs a Texas tuneshop. They dont build cars. Even if they like to claim to do so.
