If Cecilia made an hour long (or more!) video with all of her aurora footage backed with the calming music, I would watch it every day or even have it on while going to sleep - itâs calming, mesmerizing and so very beautiful!
Yes!! Like Jonna Jinton did with the ice sounds. I fall asleep to that all the time.
I pretty much said the same thing before I saw your comment. !!! đđż
I so concur about the Aurora footage! Even when we've driven to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we didn't get to see it. I love it so much.
I do find her content kinda like my own ASMR.
Theres 10 mins worth here:- czcams.com/video/YvHg_YiZqyE/video.html
Watching your footage of the aurora actually made me tear up! Iâm not sure why, but the idea that we live along such phenomena was really moving-thank you so much for sharing! â€
Saw the aurora all the time while growing up in northern Wisconsin in the 1950s.
Heavenly.

Love your videos, relaxing.I am ready to see Norway
Me too, not sure why I have tears đ
Most of us can only dream of seeing the Northern Lights, you guys are so lucky đđ». Enjoy Polar Nights and keep warm and safe đ€
@Me Sook and you for help. A very sad person.
This channel is the most soothing, peaceful and beautiful channels on CZcams. â€â€ whenever I canât sleep at night or I feel anxious I pull up a grim and Cecilia video and Itâs just so soothing. Your cabin is the most gorgeous home Iâve ever seenđ
Your choice of music for the Aurora scenes was brilliant. It all was stunning! Your home is sooooo cozy in the winter!
I 100% agree - so lovely!
Yessss magical!!
How do you get used to it I need sun!
@@kamanama3671 I lived in Norway for years, Stavanger, and yes, it is an adjustment. However, it really is very cozy between September and MarchđșđČđ§đ»đ
The aurora music is here czcams.com/video/ynGvFZzv1fY/video.html
At one point the aurora looked like an angel. God bless you all. Stay warm.
It did!! Ethereal!
It also looked like an eye at another point. The eye of God đđŒ
I thought the same thing - a celestial being appeared!
Cosmic visions. Truth.
Yes and I believe it is an Angel :)
7/6/23 23.33pm United Kingdom- your life is so relaxing and i find you truly inspiring . Currently home in the uk with my husband and 2 children wishing we didnât participate in what local society believes is the right way to live ! I want a cabin surrounded by polar night too how amazing
One of my bucket list of things to experience is the Aurora. So beautiful, calming and I honestly didnât realize how much I needed the end of this video!
I've seen them many times in Montana. Not half as awesome as this though đ
ME TOOOOOOOOO!
Sunday with Cecilia, Cristoffer, and Grim is something I look forward to every week. Can't wait for polar night content!
Yeah I'm used to sunlight and nighttime can't wait.
Grim is such a good helper, pointing out the dangerous cracks in the dock and letting you know which car is yours, well done Grim!
He's just the cutest â€
I'm crazy about this pup.

That ending shot of the Aurora lights was so beautiful!!
Wasn't expecting the ending and when I first saw the auroras, and the music, I teared up and got chills. Wish I could see them in person some day but I'm poor (and about to be 50) so it's a dream that will have to stay as such, unfortunately
But this was beautiful and I thank you for this. đ
Me too. Tears up. I am from South East Asia but always dream of living in Aurora places.
Donât let your dreams stay dreams
@@erictheil1640 That is a nice idea, but not realistic for way too many people.
By the way, the music from the aurora part is from the game Dysmantle
Didn't realise how much I needed to see Aurora lights with some calming music this morning. Oh this was beautiful

I love how you explain to all that Grimm is a dog that should stay in that climate. I am Australian and we have colds down too in winter maybe 8degrees or lower, if that. BUT alot of people here love husky's and malamutes that should be kept in places like svalbard and snow areas, not here where I live. People also walk them during the day in the heat....Makes me angy. Love your work guys'
18:05 A satellite travelling directly through the eye of a blooming aurora...that brought a tear to my eye. SURREAL
Also, there is one at 18:35 to the end of the shot.â€
as an American from the south, I am not sure that I could ever adjust to the cold, but your vlog makes me wish that I could! You create a romanticism about it all. That is your gift! Thank you,I so enjoy it all.
Iâm from the south too and wanted to plan a trip to Svalbard in the spring to see the Aurora. Then, we had our first cold front and that dream died very fast đ I hate the cold and it was only 50°.
Yeah Iâm with you folks ima remain down here in Cajun Country. Born, raised and lived all my life down here in Southern Louisiana. Ainât NO WAY I could adapt to this kind of weatherâŠ.
The aurora footage brought me to tears! Thank you for sharing this with us đđđđđđ
Wow the aurora footage brought tears to my eyes, I would do anything to see this, you are truly blessed to be living in such a magical place.

Sooooooo beautiful!!! My God, this green light in 3D đđđ
You could tell Grimm was saying âMOM!â When you were brushing him. Heâs the cutest!
I have never in my life seen anything so beautiful as the northern light with your video, I am in tears how gorgeous our earth is. Thank you for a glimpse of something so spectacular that I will probably never get to see in real life. Wow. Keep up your great work, stay happy and healthy all of you
I'm definitely a summer/ spring person BUT I love to see and feel your passion for the darker period - so cosy and lovely. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
I felt like I got hypnotized while seeing the Aurora part, it seems like such an emotional experience, i can"t even imagine how amazing it would be to see it!
The Aurora part is a highly processed clip. You won't see the same thing with your own eyes.
Don't forget that there is also the Aurora Australis...
Don't forget that there is also the Aurora Australis
Just as stunningly beautiful x
I have a really hard time with the lack of sunlight where I live in the winter (since I work until 5pm and itâs completely dark by the time Iâm done), but your videos always bring me a sense of peace. Trying to adjust my mindset this year. Thank you!!
Same, my SAD has returned with a vengeance this year!
Male sure you take extra vitamin D and get a SAD light, helped me immensely when I worked 6-5
On your break may e step outside in the sun for a bit if you can.
The Aurora is so beautiful Iâm crying đđđ
I also have tears watching the aurora, why is that ?
Same here!
16:52 the found footage style editing and shot selection for the aurora images was simply _brilliant_ ... I honestly was moved and for a moment I forgot everything and was transfixed just watching those moving lights. Again, simply brilliant.
This ep is so beautiful that my heart hurts. I am in tears watching it. Feel overwhelmed with nostalgia and joy.
Such a beautiful and unique place to live.
We're getting ready for summer down here in Australia, building fire breaks, clearing underbrush and debris, and laying in emergency supplies before the arid 40°C summer days arrive and bushfire season starts. I'm always so grateful to have your videos to watch during this time of year. It's getting hotter and dryer every year, and you give me a much needed escape from the heat. đ„”đđ
And one or two cyclons
Dryer? it's been raining for few days now....hopefully it will stop soon so I can get out of the house....I moved back in January and I'm told it can get really hot here...not looking forward to that...gonna miss my sea breezes
It's the opposite in Melbourne. We we used to have hot, dry summers but they've been getting cooler and more humid over the last decade.
The greatest people ever live there. Mercy we've got to save our beautiful planet... it's parching. Extra angels to Down Under.
Uhh summer in October November what!?
The aurora is just breathtaking, I didnât realise they were this beautiful.
Straight up jaw dropping!
Unfortunately, visible like this just on photos and videosâŠ
@@freedominsteadof1984 Yes, I should know this because I enjoy visual astronomy but the stunning images we see are from long exposures. đ
Its nothing compared to how it is actually seeing it. I remember the first time I expereinced huge amounts of northern lights. I was 11 years old walking hoome in the darkness, and suddenly everything started turning green. It frightened me at the time, as it seemed so out of the world.
at minute 17:30 of the video, I swear that aurora was like a winged angel across the sky! đđ

Hi from Southern Wisconsin, USA đșđžđșđžđșđž. Our weather starts dipping down to 30 degrees F. In October. We have six months of winter, Lots of snow, terrible winds, and very cold, it gets to minus 40 degrees F. in February. We live in a very rural area on eight acres of land with wonderful wild animals running around. Have lived in Wisconsin all my life and I like you love the winter. â€â€
i always knew how beautiful the auroras are but this video just opened my eyes to how much I've been missing my entire 23 years of life. I cannot fathom anymore the emotions one would feel experiencing the northern lights standing under an ocean of crystal clear twinkling stars like that and it just makes me want to work hard and one day be lucky enough to witness that with my own eyes.
Just beautiful, youâre an excellent ambassador for Svalbard. Showing so much respect for nature and sharing it with all us â€â€â€
That lens was absolutely worth it. Awesome imagery Cecilia! đđ·đ
That's what a real, fulfilling life looks like. Congratulations guys.
I have NEVER seen anything as beautiful as the lights shown at the end of your video! I had a little tear in my eye. Just unbelievable.
Oh my goodness, that aurora footage was nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!!đđ I AM SO ENVIOUS!!!!đ€Łđđ€Ł And equally as excited for polar night, I hope we'll get some more baking with Christoffer this year.

Greetings from Perth
I'm from the South Coast of the USA, and I fully agree!!! I grew up on the beach lol this stuff is pure magic to watch!!
Thanks Cecilia for getting the right lens to show us the amazing greens and purples with the stars twinkling through. It was so immediate and like you are right underneath it. Very well captured.
Just found your channel and I just have to say you have a new fan in Australia! Those Aurora scenes are National Geographic worthy. I now have a 12 week winter stay in Svalbard on my bucket list. An absolute job well done, bravo!
I live in the opposite environment- tropical all year round pretty much. 70 degrees is sweatshirt weather here.
That being said, seeing the auroras in person is one of the top things Iâd like to do one day. Sharing the first aurora of the season brought tears to my eyes. I will see with my own eyes one day! I love how excited you got. Pretty great first solar storm for the season too!
Polar night seems pretty special.
Your dog is funny! And obviously completely adorable! I have a husky and the personalities seem a bit similar. Definitely similar vibes when you mentioned he absolutely knew what you were asking him to do but chose not tooâŠ. I love it. People often ask why would I have a husky where I live? Well, she is a rescue and found usâŠif they only knew her air conditioned pampered life and the fact that she sunbathes daily. The magic of a double coated breed. Does Grim sunbathe during your warmer months?
Iâm new here- and appreciate you sharing your way of life with us.
I think I might like to experience the polar night myself one dayâŠ.
Stay warm. âïžđȘ”
I really enjoy these simpler videos where you show your daily life on Svalbard and the way it changes with the seasons. Those aurora shots were stunning - they look like dancing angels đ
Grim is awesome. Such a lovely pup.
As a dog groomer, thank you so much for maintaining Grims coat properly. In such an extreme environment he needs his coat in good shape. If there's too much excess undercoat there's not as much insulating value. Most insulation works by trapping a layer of warmed air. If the coat is too dense there's no air space.
Also, when a dog or cat has built up, unshed undercoat it can matt terribly. Dealing with heavy matting is no fun for your dog or their groomer.
Lovely boi. đ
I had the same thoughts watching (dog groomer for EU)
Grim looks just like my Corgi⊠a massive, tall, polar corgi! Heâs beautiful
What an amazing northern lights scene-it absolutely took my breath away how beautiful that was!! Thank you so much for capturing this!!!
I found your channel last year just as you were watching the last sunset before the long polar night. Then all through the dark winter and through the endless daylight of summer. And here we are again getting ready for winter. I can't believe how fast a year has gone by.
Wow! What a beautiful place to live! Thank you for this video!
that aurora footage brought tears to my eyes. an unexpected joy. thank you.
Good morning Cecilia! Iâm looking forward to seeing the aurora this season đ

Oh my goodness, the aurora looked like an angel! All the stars, how beautiful!!! Made me cry, so peaceful!†đ
So I'm originally from the Caribbean and now live in sunny Florida after spending years living up north in Pennsylvania and New York (which for us is cold). I have always been a total wuss when it comes to cold and snow. Everyone who knows me knows that once it drops below 60° F, I turn on the heat in my home, lol. I would however, in a heartbeat, put on my big girl panties and full winter gear just to be able to see the aurora borealis and the night sky lit up like a Celestial Garden with my own two eyes. How amazing that must be to witness! It's something I definitely desire to experience before I pass on from this body.
I love that you kept the dog indoors to enjoy the cozy atmosphere with you guys in the cabin.
I swear when you first took the footage of the Aurora it looked like an angel!! So stunning! Thank you Cecilia for sharing this beautiful life that you live!

I have seen the Aurora in real life a few times, once when I visited Yellowknife and a couple of times here in Nova Scotia. It really is so amazing to see, but especially in Yellowknife. That was my first time seeing it and I almost cried, it was a very moving experience. I would love to go back one day to get some amazing photos now that my photography has improved since then. Lol.
I just stumbled across your short video about why you love living where you do, and my heart leapt. I TOTALLY get it - Iâve always loved autumn and winter, when everyone around me loves long summer days. Iâm always greeted with almost horror when I say how much I love dark nights and winter. I live in London so we donât get anything like the darkness you have there over winter. I do get to Sweden and Iceland from time to time and just love it in winter. Honestly my heart just lifts when the nights start to draw in and I can start to get cosy at home. Youâre my new favourite channel and I shall be catching up on all your videos. â€
The northern lights were beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!
Keep those aurora videos coming! They are so ethereal and beautiful. Just too perfect for this world.

I'm in northern Minnesota and we are fastly approaching winter here and I always struggle with this change... Shorter days, freezing cold, long below zero periods of time... A couple of years ago I decided to start preparing the house for it and to cozy up the house and try really hard to look at the good and the beauty of winter. It helps a lot! I also think I'm going to get one of those sun lights too this winter. Winter is tough for me but watching you prepare your home and mentally get ready is so peaceful and calming. Btw our winter is from about mid October/ November -March/April .... Sometimes longer..... Can get down to -45f wind-chill....
Days are long there. They donât drop that much compared to higher places like the Uk and higher
Thank you so much for sharing your life there with us. Seriously that part of aurora clip made my day how beautiful is our nature
Hello Cecilia, thank you for your stories and videos. How beautiful and magical these northern lights, quite a treat.
At the end of this video my jaw dropped when I saw the Auroras, (I guess another name for them would be the Northern Lights). I have seen horizontal ones but never have I seen vertical ones. The first two looked like giant pillars of light and then I saw the ones that looked like an angel. Truly AMAZING!!
