My wife is a forensic scientist for the state we live in. She said that during a test a lot of times the test itself destroys the sample used. They try to test only a small piece of the evidence because of this so that if they mess up the sample they don't destroy the entire item. When the item of evidence is so small that they have to use the entire piece to run a test, it ends with the evidence being destroyed. It would be like if the only way to test for a counterfeit bill is to burn it and see the color of the fire, then the test would destroy the bill in the process of the test. That would explain why the evidence was destroyed by the forensics lab.

Dog attack kid here. It’s so outrageous to me on the many accounts in every nation that we have of dogs attacking anyone that this defense was even possible. I was attacked as a baby by a family friends dog. It fully put its jaw around my front face and I have a puncture mark on my face to this day and that was a persons dog. He had just walked up to me while everyone was chatting and my parents had already warned them to keep the dog away, but in an instant he clamped his mouth around me. Again just more reason why this case is so absolutely outrageous to me.

We had a dog that really loved bread. Like, LOVED bread. We would have to put the loaves on top of the fridge to keep him from getting it. One day, we forgot to do this before leaving the house. The dog, of course, got the bread and ripped the bag up and ate the whole loaf. He got in trouble, and we continued putting it out of his reach. This was forgotten on another occasion and the dog got the bread again. This time, however, he untwisted the twist-tie and got each piece out of the bag. He ate the whole loaf and left the bag laying perfectly on the floor, not a single tear, because he thought he was in trouble for destroying the bag, not for eating the bread.
If a domestic dog could do it, I don't see how a dingo couldn't have pulled that baby out of a jumpsuit in much the same way.

On the note of cops wanting to force the blame on someone was the case where 2 guys broke into someones house, killed the girlfriend and shot the boyfriend in the face. The boyfriend survived and pretty much wandered confused for a few days, when the cops arrived they tried to pin the blame on him and said thered be no way he could have been shot in the head and still be living. Turns out he was innocent and that whole time interrogating him he had that bullet lodged in his head.

The "A dingo got my baby!" line being used as a joke reminds me of the slang "Sweet Fanny Adams". You may be more familiar with "sweet FA" these days, which is sort of being changed to stand for "sweet fuck all". "Sweet Fanny Adams" essentially means "nothing". "I know sweet Fanny Adams about the subject".
Fanny Adams was a real girl in the mid 1800s. When she was 8 years old, she was abducted and found brutally murdered (which is putting it lightly). If you read up on the details, it's all just horrific.

When the dad says that the baby isn't likely to be alive - he's pretty much saying what everyone else is thinking and knows but is too scared to say. I don't look at that as suspicious at all. More like part of the acceptance of the reality. RIP sweet baby.
