- Here’s my performance of Jesse Sieff’s Chopstakovich for my high school’s Solo and Ensemble competition including the judge’s feedback. Hope you guys enjoy! I’ll have another one up if we have a percussion concert this year
I feel like you were a little nervous at first but towards the middle you seemed really relaxed. Which is great. It sounds amazing!! Just remember keeping a good mind going into things can also affect how you play.
I was nervous at first lol. This piece really pushed my limits in chops, endurance, and rhythmic capability, which I guess is the point of the piece lol. But you’re right! Music is 90-95% a mental game
That beginning was tense to listen to, but you got your groove.
Teach is awesome too, very succinct and to the point. I like that

What I did was I took the track, put it in GarageBand, and manually slowed it down to 108 bpm if I recall correctly

Bro I’m so sorry I honestly don’t remember. I remember downloading it and tossing it in GarageBand to get it to a slightly slower tempo but I don’t remember what the piece was called or where I downloaded it from. It was Shostakovich something in C Minor. Hope this helps!
