I don't think he was underrated its just that there were so many legendary players playing the same time he was. legends Berkamp,Kanu,Paulo Decanio,Ramario,Giggs,Keane,etc.He would be the best player in the world if he was playing now.
Nobody in Italy will say Zola is one of the italian's best players because he left Italy ..it s really sad..

I'm a Fulham Fan and Zola was substituted for Chelsea against us and it was his last match for Chelsea. All the Fulham Fans stood up as he walked off and gave him a standing ovation. One of the best......

secondo me prima vengono Totti/Baggio poi tutto il resto.. certo fino a non molti anni fa come tu giustamente dici c'erano campioni di un certo calibro..oggi c'è penuria. Purtroppo nessuno in Italia a quei livelli. Per un momento è sembrato che Verratti potesse prendere quell'eredità, ma è un po' scomparso dai radar. Personalmente - pur essendo tifoso giallorosso - ho un debole per il sinistro di Bernardeschi, ma è ancora tutto da dimostrare..

Zola is definitely underrated..should have given respect and credit..people forget he was as good or even better than baggio..would have reached legendary status if he stayed in italy
Mohd Nazri nah man, wouldn't even put him in the same class as baggio... Baggio played with literally one good leg almost all of his career.
Zola was a genius, but Baggio was literally the best player in the world at one point, and probably Italy's greatest ever talent.
