  • These three compensated guns are compared head-to-head to see which is faster, flatter and more accurate. #staccato #nighthawkcustom #tarantactical #sandviper
    Correction: the reference to Tier 1 Concealed holsters is incorrect, those are from Legacy Firearms. The Sommelier uses both, and both companies are excellent!

    I really like these videos. I hope you get really popular. I have owned the TRS comp and the staccato XC. I currently shoot an atlas Erebus for my comp gun and an Athena for non comp. And they are all Formula One race cars. I think that the Staccato is the best bang for your buck at this level. The nighthawk is superlatively made, but I didn’t like the grip, which was too smooth in my hands. The other issue, much like dealing with high-end sports cars, is the cost of ownership and the price of repair. You can get a Staccato (or an Atlas) fixed pretty easily but that is not true the nighthawk. Send it back and it may be gone for six months or longer. Custom things come with custom problems and custom repair problems. I pretty much agree with the 1911 syndicate guys on the Taran tactical. If it were $3000 or even $2000 less, it would be a lot more competitive. I’m one of that group the believes of polymer grip at this price point is a crime. I don’t need fangs. And I don’t care if John Wick shoots it. At the end of the day, the ergonomics of the atlas are just better for me for shooting. All of these guns are more capable than the majority of us.

      Thanks @jaceprovo I appreciate the feedback. The Sommelier agrees with you. Some of these are very nice but also very expensive to buy and maintain. I'm just doing these vids so people can see these compared with each other. For the money, the XC is an excellent choice, especially in terms of bang for the buck. And, speaking of Formula 1, I still have to make some vids for my Infinity collection.

    First off, thank you for the video. My pick is the XC, best bang for your buck. I would just change the trigger to a flat solid short and get the grip stippled. Best finish has to go to the Sand Viper.

    • @HolsterSommelier
      @HolsterSommelier  Před 11 měsíci

      Thanks @awokeone7997. For the money it really is hard to beat the XC. And, you can customize as you said to what works best for you. I'm in the process of putting Cheely aluminum grip on to see how it does. Then I will have tried both Cheelys and the stock grip to compare them all. Never could get the Atlas trigger working just right so went back to stock, but thinking of putting SVI Staccatto trigger group in.

    • @awokeone7997
      @awokeone7997 Před 11 měsíci

      @HolsterSommelier are you putting on the Cheely E2 with the agressive texture grip? For triggers, I have the Everglades short flat and it was easy to install. The original grip, you should try it with a stipple job, it reduces the circumference and adds much needed texture.

      Hey @tommymorgan9239...... that is a quesiton on everyone's mind. Who actually makes the Vipers? We know that TTI does not manufacter guns. The Combat Master was a collab with STI and Taran, but STI made the gun. Can you show us how you know that Staccato is behind the Vipers? That would set the net on fire!

    I really enjoy your channel. I would like for you to take the time and show and explain the different models of Kustom holsters. I currently carry a Staccato P in a Tenicor Certum 3, but really like the idea of a holster that can be worn iwi and own. I am getting ready to place an order for an Atlas Gunworks when I decide between the Athena and the Artemis and will be needing a new holster. Sorry about the long post.

      Thanks @joebishop for your question/comment. I would suggest that you take a look at the purekustom.com website where Rocy explains the different holsters he makes. If you want both IWB and OWB look at the special ops pro model as that is the one that can be used both ways plus cant adjustment. That said, it depends on where you carry - I'm guessing you carry strong side.

    TTI Viper is a waste of money. The XC and Nighthawk are worth the money. At 7k for a Viper, you’d be best served going Atlas. A polymer grip on a 7k is just sad.

    • @HolsterSommelier
      @HolsterSommelier  Před 10 měsíci

      Hey @SystemEncephale thanks for the comment. Ageed, if you have to make a choice between them, then the XC is by far the best value for the money. if money isn't an issue, the PV is still fun to shoot - not quite as much as the Sand Viper only because I like optics. And, I believe that the Wick guns hold their value pretty well - at least for now. Thjanks for watching the channel!

      @@HolsterSommelier I’ve got the costa carry comp, and the CZ, and I have to say, the CZ, considering it’s price being so much lower than my other high end comps, is one of the most accurate guns I’ve ever shot straight out of the box, and has the sweetest triggers you will ever pull. But considering it’s size, not really a carry pistol for most average sized human beings.

We also want to demonstrate how the tools work and how they compare. You can always just slide through to the end section if you are only interested in the "final" POV on comparisons. All that said, none of these are my EDC (which is still a hammer-fired wilson). The Sommelier appreciates all feedback and comments.
