      I am a Core rider myself but dude, seriously: That video was not a test. That was a commercial. Kitemana rates every single kite they "test" here a 10 out of 10. They never criticize anything about any kite. I wouldn't really count on their objectivity.

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci

      @@heinerkpunkt We test everything as a review, not like a test. If we think the kite scores well in the category that it is made for, we share our thoughts after riding. Like you said, giving every kite a 10/10 is not really what we do.
      For example, in this video we said that there are better options in the Core lineup for big air riding or big megaloops. So the kites we test can perform good in one discipline and less in another.

    I look for the most versatile (tending towards twintip-freeriding) Wave-kite without sacrificing wave-ability if conditions line up perfectly (=down the line directional ride and possibly groundswell)
    Comparing the Nexus4, the Bandit S and the Neo SLS, what ist the order between these in your opinion concerning wave vs. freeride-ability...

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci +1

      If you are looking for a ''freeride/wave'' kite without sacrificing too much on the wave ability, I would personally go for the Nexus in this case. The Bandit S is made because the normal bandit did not have enough wave capabilities for real waveriders out there. The same for the Neo SLS, witch is definetly Duotone their performance wave kite. I have to say that the Neo SLS has jumping capabilities on twintip, but the Nexus would be performing better.
      Also you have to understand that if you want a wave kite of freeride wave kite, you are probably be sacrifising a small bit in one or the other. My top 3 kites that you mentioned are Nexus/Neo SLS/Bandit S. If you want more information, just call us and ask for Lucas!

    Do you think you should have different kites for different sizes? 12m in particular. XR is a big air kite so great upto 9/10m if that’s your thing, but what to get in a 12m… Nexus or XR????

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi Matt, indeed I would say you could take another model kite in a bigger size. Like you say, big air kites are great up to 10m nowadays. A Nexus as a bigger size in your quiver would be a good idea if you still want to rock it in lighter winds. - Lucas

    How was the 139 carved imperator?

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey, the Carved Imperator is great, even that the board was not the perfect size, it still performed well. Good pop and enough comfort for the choppy conditions at the North Sea!
      Cheers, Lucas

    witch kite should i get I want a big air kite but not to crazy expensive and my dad can ride because he is a average kiter

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi Alec, at the moment we have good deals on the Orbit 2023, XR7 and Nitro. All 3 kites are great for big air riding. The XR is a bit more into big jumps and fewer loops, the Nitro and Orbit are both very good at boosting high, aswel as easy looping. If you have any questions, just call of e-mail us! - Lucas

    Hi guys, I was hoping you might be of some help, I am looking to buy a new Nexus 4 (I have a Nexus 3 in a 9m). Do you think that the next size up should be a 12m or could a 13,5m work? I am just scared that the gap between a 9 and 13.5 might be too big. I can afford no more than a 2 kite quiver. Second question how would you compare the pull per size of a nexus vs XR.
    Thanks heaps

  • @erbartlett
    @erbartlett Před 2 měsíci

    It turns like a 9, but is the power like a 9? I have the nexus 3s and sometimes Im riding 2 sizes lower than the XRs to get enough power in the same wind, which I don't love!

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 2 měsíci

      I would say that the 9M indeed feels like a nine. I would definitely not size down with the Nexus. Likewise, I experienced the XR as a kite that has more power than the Nexus (also because of the more powerful bar pressure), I would size down on that one quicker than the Nexus. Cheers and good luck with your own CZcams channel! - Lucas

    • @martinvanniekerk6737
      @martinvanniekerk6737 Před 15 dny

      Hi mate. I have te same feeling with my Nexus 3. I can't go out in the same wind with a 9 nexus vs 9 Evo. And that does bother me allot. If you say you have to size down... do you mean you have to size up?? ( to a larger size?)

    • @Kitemana
      @Kitemana  Před 14 dny

      @@martinvanniekerk6737 Just jumping in here... I think @erbartlett meant he needs two sizes bigger with the Nexus. However the XR and the Nexus are very different kites of course. The XR will have more power but the Nexus is more maneuverable so speed is also power when used wisely. If you like power over maneuverability then you probably like a bow kite better instead of an open C such as the Nexus.

    Core always make the most fancy names fo its stuff. It is not a C-Shape it is a future C-Shape. It is all about Image with core. Not bad stuff but fo sure but when I compare the nexus with my Bandit Fone has a better quality and keeps attention of detailing.

      You are right about the f one bandit XV1 very good quality and excellent design work with the sail engineering, kites are light weight / fast / responsive and very stable to fly !
      Have put 48 sessions on an 11m the trailing edge is showing no sign of wear in fabric at all
