With Drag Race All Stars 10 now filming, it's time for an update on my video where I discussed the likelihood of queens returning to the franchise. A lot has happened since that last iteration, so it's time to go through season by season and break down which Drag Race queens will return and which refuse. I'll give updates on many since their time on the show and talk about why or why not I feel like they would come back.

Yeah, sometimes theres like fun rivalries that are pushed between contestants. But for Amanda its was more like she was getting made fun of and humiliated. I want to see Amanda by herself so that she isn’t getting upset by plane.

The cast of AS9 is refreshingly good (almost all of the queens are either heavy hitters, fan favorites or Jorgeous) which hasn't been the case for a while (not counting winners) but yeah, All-Stars is simply pointless now, that it happens every year.

@@musiliudeenkaliku i personally think she's a great character for drag race, if u think abt the episodes she was present in s7 she carried a lot of the storylines, like how she came across posh and prude and annoyed everybody else to then being a great team player and actress, her runways were pretty polished yet always tore to shreds by michelle, her helping pearl focus for the despy awards challenge and even her iconically bad snatch game and controversial exit. like idk she was always drawing focus somehow. mrs kasha davis was less present - no shade to her she's an icon and a legend - and got asked back for all stars

Considering the trend of bringing queens back 3/4 times I think you should include queens who have already done all stars and also consider winners too for all winners, (I realize how long the video would be but I'd watch all of it 🤣)

Kim Chi said at Roscoe’s that she would have said yes to AS9 if they had asked her, so if they start doing more non-elimination charity seasons, you better move her over to the right more.
To be fair, I think Rosé has a greater shot than you might think, let's not forget she's done a LOT of Werq the World, and those queens do tend to get a good amount of production love (see Jorgeous, Vanjie, Kandy, Bosco). And she was in the off-broadway production of Titanique too, so she's definitely out there sliving

Marcia is also doing some shows as the emcee in cabaret- it seems like her broadway career is really taking off, and from what i know she's a broadway performer first and a drag performer second. I'm not sure she'd want to kill that momentum in her career by going on an All Stars season

@@maca76 I don't think she's quit drag but it's likely she isn't doing it as often now she's on Broadway as she's not only playing one character but is the under study for another which I'm sure doesn't leave her with a lot of free time lol

For me I think Dida Ritz, Jade Jolie, Laganja, April, Jaidynn Dior, Acid, Peppermint, Asia, Rock, and Crystal Method are all must haves. Anyone else after season 12 obviously deserves allstars as well, but I think these queens need their time asap.
Peppermint has said it’s not at the top of her list. Other than that, I would LOVE all of them alongside Kim Chi

It's crazy how when Tamisha got eliminated people were so sure that she would return for All Stars in the near future and now it seems so unlikely. Personally I think she'd be a great choice.

I think Carmen would be great for All Stars. tbh I feel like if India Ferrah can get a call for All Stars after fully shit talking the show, Carmen can get a call. her main critiques were surrounding the treatment of trans women/queens by the show and RuPaul and I feel like we’ve come a long way, especially after Sasha Colby’s win. hopefully they can mend things and she can get the callback.
edit: also, regarding The Princess, she said at Play a few years ago that she wouldn’t go back for All Stars. but plenty of the queens have said that and then changed their minds in the past, so maybe we will see her.

Kelly Mantle was not nominated for an Emmy. What you're misremembering is that Kelly Mantle was the first genderfluid person eligible for an Oscar and the Academy allowed her to apply for both the male and female categories. But she was never nominated for an Emmy or Oscar.

God I’m so excited for Irene those runways that she posted after her elimination made me a fan it made me go robbery .

I'm sorry but the portrayal of Nina Bonina Brown isn't very accurate (other than she didn't want to be on). She made one cribge comment about Gottmik and has blurred Mik out because the fans are absolutely rapid.
I feel like Dawn was DEFO a fan fave maybe not a frontrunner but she defo had the fan support since the beginning
she has the look and aesthetic the fans tend to like (which is why she gained plenty of followers before anybody watched episodes), but overall I don't think the fandom loved her all that much... the true fan favourites of s16 are Nymphia, Mirage and Morphine.

the difference here is that Spanish queens and French queens who speak English as second language are disadvantaged compared to English first language queens - so their own all stars makes sense, as UK vs the World has faced issues with language barriers. Even creating a "European" All Stars wouldn't be a good idea - too many languages - it isn't like the US.

A hot take: I truly believe they considered having Sapphira being both Season Winner & Miss Congeniality, just because we all saw how much of a trailblazer atomic black bombshell excellence boots house down she was, but giving 1. Her final lipsync wasn't that great 2. I don't think they expected to Nymphia to be such a huge fan favorite, so they just chose to edit the final lip sync highlighting Nymphia, crowning her and saving Sapphira for All Stars.

i just watched seasons 1-4 for the first time over the past few weeks and my personal #1 pick to come back would be lashauwn, i was SCREAMING over her elimination and i still wanna see what else she had to show back then! i would truly petition to get her back if she had any desire to do so
i got to meet Kornbread earlier this year at my university's drag show and she was so funny and nice and sweet! The best time i've had meeting a ru girl!! (to be fair, shes only the second ru girl ive meet but she set the bar high) She is so amazing live!! im close with people who work behind the scenes with drag show and i didnt hear a single bad thing about her in back stage world. she was super professional and amazing from what i heard!!

Your comments about Nina Bonina Brown have been taken out of context. She is not transphobic, and has blurred Gottmik from her show because of her not saying anything when people falsely attacked Nina for being transphobic. She had just voiced her opinion, even if it’s admittedly unpopular, and if you listen back to it in context it’s clear that the intent behind it was misconstrued to be transphobic.
When I first heard the whole Nin Bo'Nina is transphobic rhetoric, I was so genuinely confused and when I asked someone to share the genesis of what caused this and they showed me the 2 second clip of the Mik comment and what it turned into, I was genuinely shocked. I think classifying things like that as "phobic" minimizes the real impact of what that means. The fans of the show intentionally sought out Nina and harrassed her and so did some of the queens in an attempt to show "allyship". Mik is a hyper rich, hyper visible person with a fanbase that jumps on ppl who have anything critical to say about Mik. Elliott with 2 T's had Gottmik talking to the counselor on set bc his transphobia was so blatantly harmful-according to Mik himself...but he's not called a Transphobe and is "working on himself"? I mean c'monnn that feels biased AF.

Nicole Paige Brooks and Phoenix were announced as guests on the "Painting With Raven" spin-off show. I think that's a really good sign as to their interest and potential for an All Stars season.
Marcia Marcia Marcia was just announced to take the lead role of Cabaret, which was played by Eddie Redmayne, at certain performances. This is *huge* and to me makes Marciax3 much less likely to return since she's having a successful Broadway career.
Would love to see you do this with the winners and how likely they are to come back to an all winners. You could even throw some international winners you'd like to see on all winners 2.

I would LOVE to see World Of Wonder coax ALL the queens (who are still with us) back to compete once again. Id love for them to re-do Season 1, which is affectionately known as 'The Lost Season', and pay for the queens to create interesting wardrobes and to comepte all over again with one another in an updated season 1 entitled "Season 1: The Rumix".
I feel all those queens deserve a re-introduction to the Drag Race fandom, and perhaps if WOW coaxed them with the money and a promise to support them in building up their careers, they may just take the chance. And if some of them dont, perhaps they could amalgamate both S1 & S2 to create a Super Rumix of girls from both seasons. I feel like W.O.W owe it to those girls as theyre the OG's who put the existence of Drag Race on the map.
One can only dream!
Another idea i had was if they did a season themed Drag Race series. A selection of the girls from the first four seasons compete in a Spring themed competition, as they were the first batch of girls on Drag Races formative years. Girls such as Dida Ritz, Nina Flowers, Willam, Delta, Tammie Brown, Raven etc.
Then the Summer season could be made up of a batch of girls who took part between S5 to S8, bringing back girls like Max, Lineysha, Jade Jolie, April Carrion, & Jaidynn etc.
The Autumn season would be made up from the girls who took part in Seasons 9 - 12.
And finally the Winter season, featuring the newer batch of girls from Seasons 13 - 16.
Again, one can only dream!!!
