Today, I asked y'all to send in some of your favorites and I'll discuss all of them, telling you if I think there's any validity to them or if it's all just a bunch of hooey.

The Lipsync Lalaparuza on season 14 and 15 was designed to eliminate the lipsync assassins Jasmine Kennedie and Jax. They had been in the bottom a lot but kept winning their lipsyncs.

I see that for s14 but I also think the s15 one’s twist was made so they could chose the victim. I think they wanted spice to go and expected Anetra or Jax to chose the other so they get a free pass with miss spice but Anetra saved spice.

I think s15’s was because they knew Sasha was such a great lip syncher that the audience would love it, but Sasha’s so good she’s not going to end up in the bottom.
For roscoe's, i think naysha spills the tea in a very specific way, like, yugioh card text level of syntax where she/the guests say it exactly in a way that they don't get sued/break the nda lmao

For Nymphia, I wonder if the producers are starting to notice that the more they rob someone, the more that person receives support from the fans (I had the same feeling about Marina Summers, and they probably noticed it when Pangina and Jimbo lost the crown but won their season) but the more they reward someone, the less they get that extra support. So pretending to neglect someone talented would be a new way to insure the public wants them to be the winner. But that's just a theory.
The month that As3 started airing, I saw a Trixie Funko pop for sale alongside the rupaul on Amazon. I was convinced that because of this, Tracy would be the winner. My friends laughed at me alllll the way up to the finale 😂 ❤❤

I think they gave Nymphia that edit but had to change things around to make her the winner with a weird edit because of UK vs the World season 2. They didn’t crown Marina Summers in UKvsW2 and didn’t expect the backlash they received for doing that.
I loved Nymphia during the season and think she deserved the crown. But a part of me can’t help but wonder…
She is lucky she slayed that final lipsync.
I believe that Nymphias popularity is what really gave her the W over Sapphira. That’s not a bad thing though because remember the winner is chosen on who fits the brand better. Nymphia fits Drag Race brand and her popularity is what sealed the deal in my eyes. Think like WWE having a champion, the champion is CHOSEN based on the popularity of the wrestler. Even the villains are chosen for that as well. Why pick a champion the fans can’t get behind and ruin the company?? Nymphia was the better choice based on fan reception.

Also I feel like Sapphira will be successful and popular after this. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her have a mini show or coming back for an All-Stars season. Not that she needs to, but that’s my point. Either way, I’m happy for the top 3 and wish them all successful futures.
Also Aurora Matrix has just lost Canada S4. Not crowning Nymphia would have made them 0 for 3 deserving Asian queens in just a few months.

I disagree I think they wanted to crown Nymphia the whole time. I think sapphira was too close to Sasha Colby in terms of being a super professional and they didn't want to crown two people like that in a row. They did save her a number of times from the bottom even when she deserved it...
They should have given Nymphia a better edit. Not necessarily a winner’s edit but a better one. A more visible one. I do think that it came down to fan reception and the final lip sync. I think Sapphira thought she had it in the bag due to her track record and didn’t try as hard. I do think that they wanted to crown Sapphira before they filmed the finale but just couldn’t because of fan reception and the lip sync.
It does somehow seem that maybe that realisation came much further down the line: Nymphia's edit becomes so one-note, later on, when honestly she could have gotten a great underdog thing with not being able to voice how she struggles, until coming to the book challenge.
the only time it could be argued that she was saved is snatch game though? she wasnt saved that much and even snatch game when you consider the runway is still fair.

Hey everyone. The Darienne theory was mine. I do understand and your opinion but I wanted to explain my side (cause Instagram was too small)
I believe that they wanted to get rid of Milk cause of her RuPaul runway and they didn't like that. Darienne arguably did the worst in the challenge with a bad rap, she messed up her recorded take and had one of the worst runways that episode. I think they thought if Darienne and Milk were both in the bottom, Darienne wouldn't do well enough to win. Throwing Trinity in instead of Darienne pretty much guaranteed that Milk would go home.
I love that the vast majority of these conspiracies are things that have already been talked about extensively on various channels like drag detective, jack fed, mera mangled etc… Apart from a few, it feels like we are in an echo chamber resubmitting lots of theories that people were only aware of because of these channels in the first place.
I think they played up the Nymphia being young and naive to portray her as an underdog even though she clearly wasn’t because Sapphira was already getting the polished queen edit.
I have a conspiracy! Production usually tell who’s gonna be the winner of the season in episode one. When Ru announce the prize after all queens are in the workroom, the camera pans to the winner right after the cash is mentioned. Off the top of my head, its happened All Stars 2, 3, and 4

Idk know much about american law bc im european but if it works similarly to my country, naysha can spill the tea on other seasons bc shes not bound by those ndas. So if a queen tells her something she can freely talk about it and just not say where she got that info and even drop some names bc its very hard to prove that she isnt lying about who told her this. When it comes to her season tho if i have to guess its bc WOW has to prove that the nda breach caused negative effects on the company which is in most cases nearly impossible

I hate people who shit on Deja coz of the unaired Levitating lipsync saying "if it was good, we would've seen it". She won that challenge, and I don't think she expected that the winner would lipsync coz you know, usually the bottom two lipsync. So she didn't prepare. Deja is a fierce performer and I hate when people undermine her like that.
I'm sure that Nymphia winning was a last minute edit bc we all know that rupaul really wanted sapphira to win but when they saw that Nymphia have a huge fanbase they had no choice but to crown her
Nymphia was much better as a winner. Sapphira was a professional black queen. That was great in everything aka boring.

It wasn't last minute. She was favoured the whole entire season. She also has hundreds of millions of dollars backing her up. She was never going to lose.

Season 14th's Snatch Game attitude backfired real bad. No matter what was the reason behind that, it was a terrible idea.
I think as long as Ru is laughing on Dragrace, she will stay. She seems to really enjoy drag and being on the show. She might be older, and out of touch, but they'll get a Ru hologram, before they replace her.

Nymphia's edit is wild. The only story I can even find is that Plane robbing Nymphia of the win inadvertently had her win the finale because we never saw her lip synch.

I find the Nymphia edit kind of ridiculous. They knew she was Top 2 and knew she would be a massive fan fave. She was the consistant fan fave from the Promos, and the edit did push that along. They gave her the most favourable edit for her run.
Hmmm I dunno… the first episodes I feel Nymphia has a great edit, but it fizzles out in the middle and barely peaks back up towards the end.
Even after the awesome lipsync I wasn’t sure Nymphia was getting the crown over Sapphira.
People really love to act like she wasn't chosen to win the season from day 1.

For AS9, I truly believe they don't want to waste badges (you'll ask what's the point of cutting off then and I'll say that I don't know but it's not the first time Drag Race makes weird, unexplicable choices). Angeria should have won Snatch Game with the rule of "one winner per group" and Jorgeous definitely deserved top 2 for the makeover, but both were blocked those specific weeks, so they might have gone with another choice just to not let the badge go to waste.
That’s the part where I know a blocked queen can win a challenge technically and just won’t get a badge, but why would they do that? That would means there is less at stake when being blocked (when there are already low stakes being a non-elimination season).
I think Jorgeous being blocked possibly was why they didn’t win the makeover, but I’m sure it’s more for the narrative reasons giving Roxxxy and Vanjie the win for story.

Nymphia’s edit is still so bizarre to me that I think they had to have considered fan reactions in her win. My friends and I met her a few weeks before the finale and when my friend said we were rooting for her and she deserved higher placements, Nymphia mentioned how production/the judges hate her lol. I don’t think she expected to win but she def deserved it!!
I don't agree about bebe being paid to lose the lip sync. I think she was doing better until she took the wig off, and I don't agree that she would have known better. They were all ragging on bebe all season for being out of touch with drag race. It was an old school song, and she did an old school move that I felt like actually fit with the song. It wasn't a sloppy moment where her wig started to fall off so she pulled it off to reveal a wig cap and unblended makeup, it was a preplanned choice. And I think she would have gotten away with it if it weren't for production wanting the drama of having Ben eliminate herself.

Not sure if this has already been said or not, but one of my DR Conspiracies is that the non elimination run of S14 (snatch game-roast) was a test/'backdoor pilot" by production for All Stars 7. They wanted to test the waters for having the same 8/7 queens for multiple episodes both from a production view & to see how audiences react to watching the same 8/7 queens for 5 consecutive episodes so any kinks could be resolved for AS7 filming & airing.
As I've gotten older and AS3 goes further and further into the past, I've started to totally understand why Bebe didn't want to show whose lipstick she chose.

When it comes to Nymphia's win, I truly believe it had to do with the fact that asian queens have a history of being overlooked or robbed in the show. Just last year Aurora in canada. Plus this also reveals that probably Plastique won't make it to the top 4, since AS9 had already been filmed at that time

although the dela quitting drama was basically perfectly executed, I would have loved to see what would've happened the next week if she'd lost. seeing the other queens reactions in that scenario rather than what we got would've also been really interesting tbh (but obviously the Ru-niverse works in mysterious ways, and I think the way it did happen was the best option [for entertainments sake] I just get curious)

I heard that, with the Season 16 finale, they filmed it earlier after the incident with ANETRA’s backup dancer during the Season 15 finale. For those who don’t know, when they initially filmed ANETRA’s solo number, there was supposed to be some complex trick that she was going to do. And in the initial take when they filmed it, one of the dancers got badly injured during this stunt and had to be removed from the rest of filming. So maybe they filmed it earlier to prevent something like that from happening again.

the lalaparuza on s14 was weird bc it was so planned, and even having it being a challenge wouldn’t have worked since then they wouldn’t have had enough contestants till the end. of course kornbread leaving caused the top 2 in daytona wind to keep a queen in, but the season had already two planned double shantays (Jorgeous and Jasmine and the chocolate bar) to reach the episodes quota. the best thing to do was to have a top 3 finale, in sure we wouldn’t have to see so many inconsequential episodes

My take on the Nymphia-spiracy is simply that production decided at the last minute that Sapphira was too prime for an All-Stars showing to hand the win to- Now she can have a Shea style big threat narrative on AS. She’s also an under-represented archetype, we haven’t really had a MOTHER that dominates since…… Bianca? So she’s a good casting choice to shake up a group dynamic.

I genuinely believe that the Nymphia edit existed to throw us off. Because we had SUCH an obvious winner in Sasha Colby in season 15, my theory is that the producers tried their hardest to make the winner more of a surprise this time around. I think it's why Sapphira had a bit of a sleeper edit as well in the midseason.
nymphia's edit is the most confusing winner's edit ever. I can think of about 5 diff reasons for her win, but can't come up with anything when it comes to her edit. I'm waiting for your video about her bc I need someone to list out at least one possible reason
In the case of Roscoe's, I think Wow uses the tactic of, all publicity is good
Since each person who watches the entire video knows details about the season, and that allows the show to have more retention, while allowing people to have more interactions on social networks.
Since most of the drama is towards the queens and not totally against the production
My favorite conspiracy theory is that Michelle is actually Rupaul in drag, and that’s why you never see them in the same room.
