    I just used a baking soda paste and it did lift some dirt. Looks better than before.

    The yellowing was caused by the UV from the son. You should place a sheet of kitchen towel over the shoes, it wil block the UV rays.

    For the laces just tie them together and put them through to wash

      No, a chemical reaction makes the vinegar cause the baking soda to release carbon dioxide gas. This gas helps clean many things. A good example is washers, sinks, dish washers, sidewalks, etc.

    I definetely don't get 3-4 hrs of direct sunlight in my place, if I let it dry overnight without direct sun would it be as effective? Thanks for the video, BTW!! Bought a great pair of used Adidas hi-tops but the fabric is stained & I bought them to flip dem!!

    Adding vinegar to the bicarbonate of soda neutralizes each other. One's an acid the other a base. It'll work better without the acid (vinegar).

      Yes but it’s not alkalinity nor acidity that cleans your shoes. It’s the chemical gases released by the baking soda when it comes in contact with vinegar which cleans the shoes.

      Never dry your white shoes in direct sunlight! Let them air dry in outside in the shade and also never put any type of leather shoes in the Dryer! Leather is a very delicate material after they are air dried put a good quality Leather conditioner cream that is formulated for white leather .

      Toothpaste gave me really good results on leather shoes. I don't think it would work well on canvas just because when I used it on fabric (I showed it on the video) it didn't get rid of stains. As Chimith wrote, baking soda will do a better job.
