- A quick way to clean your favorite white shoes!!!! Please understand that this is NOT for all shoes! Especially leather. In this video I state that I use hot water but you can use cold water as it is more so preferred!

Just used this tip for 2 pairs. Soaked for 4 hours and they came out looking brand new. One of the pairs had a stain I tried washing off before and never came out. It came out this time. Thank you for sharing

If you want to avoid your shoes losing shape for those out there with not very stiff shoes I’d recommend stuffing clean socks into them when you put them in the dryer

Dont put your shoes in the dryer. Set them out in front of a fan for like 5 hours

@@yaboy4923 yes oxiclean is the main thing that makes your shoes look brand new. you can always try it with detergent but it might not do as well of a job. I highly recommend oxiclean tho!
If they have gum/any colored bottoms will affect it??

Not even kidding. I just came looking for a video on how to clean my fave pair of running shoes, and no joke, mine are the exact same shoes as yours. Love them.
They’re my favorite !!! And this is such an easy way to clean them I promise they will look brand new !
I cleaned my beige sketchers using this technique. I weighed them down to keep them submerged. Though I did not throw them in the washer and dryer afterwards. I thought that would be too rough on them. So I air dried them using my bathroom fan and my dehu installed in my bathroom overnight, instead. It did not get them perfect. But they were way better than before. I’m not too concerned about perfection, being that I got them free from the Dumpster Emporium several months earlier. I say this especially since I use them to do my twice weekly “shopping“ on the day before trash day. I’ve been doing this for over seven years.
For those wondering how much to use for their bucket, I'm fairly certain this is a 4 gal bucket, and she used a scoop and a half for, what looks like, ~2 gallons of water. So 1.5 scoops per 2 gal of water = 3/4 scoop per gal of water.
Oxiclean recommends 3 scoops per gal

I ALWAYS use Oxiclean! I knew I could do the same for my daughters shoes, fb they are the same type of fabric as yours, I usually use the purple oxiclean, because it smells so good lol. But since they’ve come out with their sanitizer one I use that one, so hopefully it’s the same clean as the originals. Thank you for this! Also for all the mamas and daddy’s out there you can use this exact same method for lunch bags/boxes and backpacks! Just not the washing machine part, you rinse them then let them air dry 💕

That works good. If you put a towel in the washing machine with the shoes it might help clean them a little more. Gives the shoes something to agitate against. Nice work!!

First thing I always do is spray them down with a water proof spay so dirt does get into the fabric as well.
I would suggest 2 coats and let the dry outside in the open air.
Once they are dirty I use ever dawn dish soap with a little brush and scrub the rinse well with cold water.
If soaked could take about 2 days to fully dry.
Little someone wrote to machine could affect the glue of some shoes so I rather by hand.
this! Very important to wash with cold water and tumble dry on cool if using a machine!
Throw the shoes in front of the bottom of the fridge. Will dry much quicker.

I clean my shoes with oxi clean. Oxi clean is become my bff when it comes to stain.

I almost wish I could send you a tip or something I want to thank you so much. I have 2 pairs of white $180 expensive shoes I couldn't figure out how to clean and this worked amazingly! They were in such rough shape and dirty with stains. I wouldn't say they're 100% perfect but I didn't expect that and it's close to perfect I can at least wear them now. Exact same method I’ve used numerous times, it always worked. Ultimately, I have starting to add about 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar, preferably apple cider vinegar and it really helps a lot, plus it will act as a disinfecting agent.
Wait so you did 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar instead of the scoop of oxi clean and it did the same or did you combine both?
Is there a reason to prefer apple cider vinegar? Softer odor? I’d worry about discoloration

I had a question… Do you add more Oxiclean to the washer when you clean the shoes in the washing machine?
I also have the white DNAs, mine were a little less dirty, and this WORKED LIKE A CHARM. Oxiclean is the TRUTH! 😂 they are like new again, sparkling white! I soaked them for 20 hours tho because I forgot about it. Then I threw them in the wash, on cold, light load. And then I set them outside to air dry. Do it!

If you ever get a blood stain on something, dawn soap as soon as they get blood on them, let sit for a few hours, then rinse with cold water

Hai! just wanted to confirm, when you threw the shoes into the washer after soaking them in oxi clean, did you use detergent in the washer too? or was it just to rinse the shoes off?
I did add detergent! But it’s optional it really doesn’t do anything other then make them smell better!

I'm gonna be real honest y'all. I was very skeptical and had no hope for my shoes. My Nike Air Huaraches were dark GRAY from wear and grime & my Air maxes were stained blue. I let the Huaraches soak overnight and my Air Max soak for 4.5 hrs. Tbh, they didn't look that much better after the soak. But Y'ALL!!! After the cold wash and air dry they LEGIT look brand new!!!!!

Helpful vid..thx. Would be helpful if companies that make white shoes put some kind of stain resistance into the fabric..but they seem to do the exact opposite and attract stain like a magnet

Im trying this now with my white shoes that I wore while working at a cabinet shop. They stayed white through all the dust for a long time but I stepped in some thick mud at one point. So I just started scrubbing them with a toothbursh in scolding hot water. I think that even if I do this with the powder detergent I have it should still be better than nothing. If it turns out well then I will post results.

You should avoid hot water as it will damage the glue on the sneakers.
Same with rubber shoes like crocs or jelly sandals.
Of course to do that. Use at your own risk

After soaking over night and throwing into washer did you add anymore oxyclean or laundry detergent into the washing machine? Also curious if the oxyclean got moisture inside the container after using as a weight? Thank you for making this video 🙏🏼😊
When you wash the shoes in the washer do you add detergent and softener like you would for clothes?
No don't add detergent softener
I used oxiclean to clean 2 pairs of my daughters shoes. One pair were covered in glitter and it ate it all off (probably my fault), and a pair of nikes, the check mark started to bubble up and peel off. So just be cautious depending on the type of shoe
instead of oxiclean try using a clothing detergent like Tide
It did the same to one of my shoes it inflated the bottom of my shoe and left a bubble I had to throw them away
So glad I decided to read the comments! I’ve ALWAYS scrubbed my shoes by hand. But it takes forever as I’m pretty OCD with my shoes. My whites are pretty bad right now so was looking for another option. I know to not use hot water, but glad to know about the Oxi. If my OC’s were ruined I would cry so much.
