- From Season 13 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 24: Man on Wheels which originally aired on March 26th, 1967. This study of the wheel's effect on society is comprised of two short subjects that were first released theatrically. The first is "Donald and the Wheel", in which Donald is seen as a cave dweller who invents the wheel. Due to copyright this segment has been removed but can be seen in its entirety on the Walt Disney Treasures DVD Tin: The Chronological Donald: Volume 4. Walt narrates the second part of the show, "Freewayphobia," which shows how motorists have to cope with modern highways.

This episode always hit a little harder with me. I had a '59 Caddy from 2010 to 2021. No matter how much I modernized it ( dual brake cylinders, modern cooling system, modern power steering, etc. ) the car was always a deathtrap to drive. It's quite a feeling to go from a regular daily driver into that thing. I let my friends drive it and they always left white-knuckled. Everything that happens in this video was going through my head at all times while driving that thing. So glad I will never be behind the wheel of that thing. Glass and steel don't seem to hurt Goofy but I'm breakable and filled with meat. No thanks.
