Caddying is honestly pretty chill and fun when u don’t have to carry two bags. Granted I worked at a priv club and all the members were super nice and u got to know them all

@@Livehappy14 For me, it started with a deep passion for the game. I started sketching holes as a 7-8 year old. After my service to our country, I then found a job as an equipment operator on a full course renovation. Within two years I was independently and competently shaping courses, and in 2019 I was first engaged as a designer/architect for a historic course renovation. If you watch one of our shows, I provide an email. Reach out and I could share more detail.

Been caddying for awhile and can confirm. Double bag carry SUCKS! Being on a nice course makes up for it though đŸ‘đŸŒ

Is it a good job? What the pay like? I’ve always appreciated a good greens crew, it’s evident when it’s not.

I started with no experience in Dallas at a private club for $15 an hour. Guys who had been there longer got paid $20+ per hour.
Private clubs often come with playing benefits at the club and sometimes members pool together Christmas bonuses.

That said - you need a decent bit of experience to cut the greens or use any type of mowers
Landscaping and grounds keeping in general has a ton of gate keeping for the “easy” jobs like mowing or raking bunkers

@@ASMRGolferyes and no on needing experience to cut greens. Once you are capable of push mowing tee boxes (using higher set old greens mowers) push mowing a green is pretty easy. It definitely takes skill, but as long as the greens still have dew on them, pushing a green is a very rewarding and generally easy task
