Replacing your fork oil and seals is part of regular maintenance and helps ensure your suspension operates properly and internal components don't wear prematurely. In this video, Charles shows the proper steps on how to replace fork seals on WP XACT AER forks that came off a 2020 Husqvarna FC 450, but this procedure will be the same for many newer KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles.

Holy heck bat man, I think this just might be the very first fork seal change video I watched where I did not cringe multiple times at for dumb stuff or wrong stuff the or just bad mechanical practices. You sir are a miracle baby!

Thanks for the great video. I have these forks on my '21 300XC TPI, and (hopefully) won't need it for a while, but it will come in handy when I do.

Is it normal for the damper side fork leg to not fully extend like at 15:46? Cause I took mine off and it doesn't fully extend but when i lift the fork up from ground it extends.

Great video guys Can you specify which types of seal grease do you guys prefer , as I am indian and racetech grease is far-off my grasp. Please specify NLGI 1,2,3 WHICH IS SUITABLE ,and is silicone grease or lithium or regular grease will work without causing leaks

I don’t think it is. I’ve been scouring the internet. I think the damper rod part is skipped and the inner part. I’m not 100% though

I recently serviced my forks as per your instructions. I noticed when I drained the old fork oil on the right fork that the oil was significantly thicker- almost like molasses. The left side fork oil was normal. Any idea why this might be?

Are you the original owner? It's possible someone only changed one side out before. The stock oil seems real syrupy. -Charles

I am hoping we can laugh and cry together. My 24’ KTM 65sx had the front shocks damaged when the bike was tied down in the truck bed. I don’t know the extent of the damage but I heard two loud BOOMs coming from the bike. I pulled over and noticed the tie down straps were tighter than a camels ass in a sand storm. The shocks don’t rebound like before, no oil leaking and I am hoping for some advice on were to start. Thanks.

Good video but Dang, forks installed and wheel on and forgot the lights, remove the wheel and forks and put the lights on and back to square one. My dad always said "if there isn't time to do it right, there is always time to do it over, so pay attention." I always retorted I was so poor I couldn't even pay attention.

It went together easily in less than an hour. czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.

Great info, but safety glasses and gloves, wimp. No OSHA in the typical garage. I got my safety squints and hands that have been impervious to harm for 30+ years. Love the content, but call it as I see it.
