When I ordered this, I wasn't sure how useful it would be; but given the metal legs on my desk, it's been fantastic. Yep, this is an expensive cord, but if you have a use case where you are really sick of tangled cords, i think it is worth the price. This is the second magnetically self wrapping cord and it is far better than the previous one which had small magnets fitted between sections. That design caused weak point at te magnets and needed careful handling.
