Robb not only 'wanted' to Jon become his heir. Most people forget that he wrote testament accepted by 7 vassals and with 7 stamps before they went to Twins. And in this testament in 99% he legalized Jon as Stark and choose him to rule the North.
This testament is still hidden, but I think that in books Jon also become King in the North. However no thanks to little girl's passionate speech but thanks to Robb decision.
Moni Ka honestly it's one of the greatest failings of the show that they are trying to make it out that it was the lords who chose Jon to be their King and not Robb who made him his lawful heir. It's why I got so pissy when Lord Glover told Sansa "we did not choose you but maybe we should have" I'm like !!!! Robb your original King who you swore oaths to chose Jon! He disinherited Sansa bc she DID present a threat to the Stark lands through her marriage to Tyrion. And then later by marrying Ramsey she did exactly what Robb was afraid of?! That someone would use their marriage to her to claim a lawful right to Stark lands/position/authority. It's why the Boltons claimed they were the lawful wardens of the North. But no let's ignore all of this and tease that the North is gonna betray Jon the same way the Nights Watch did. I can assure only one is gonna walk away from that fight and you better believe it's gonna be Jon.

Except for a few scenes where the actors really pulled out their best. S8 was very sloppily written. So many details were wrong, so many 'dots connecting things' etc. Jorah's death was a good scene. Varys still acted like the usual mastermind, just his death was so poorly written: How could the man who 'snuck around' the Mad King, drunk Robert, and crazy Goffrey, be so DUMB to send 'treasonous letters', so obviously, from the very Island-keep of the one he is betraying? Thats like the dumbest thing ever? Worse even then 'Dany forgot about Euron's fleet"....Or the 'epilogue', like 2-3 scenes? Thats it? "Thats the happily ever after' or bittersweet ending after 8 years in the making? Hah. Benioff and Weiss had GOLD ni their hands with this and they pulled a FUBAR on it... Call it Karma that they got kicked off the Star Wars project too. probably ruined their carreers now by rushing GoT, and delivering such a dissapointment. Dibs to the actors still, they tried their best!

For a TV show I don't think I've ever experienced such happiness for a character, and if it came to it, I'd say Jon is my favorite character. The amount of shit, disdain and contempt this guy has had to put up with, and is always decent. Not consumed with immature greedy arrogance like Daenerys.

As I watched this video it finally hit me, Jon Snow is a fighter at heart. His whole life he has had to struggle and survive. His purpose is the entire point of the show. House stark is gone but the dragon wolf will thrive.

there are existing instances of matrilineal marriages in the books. so if arya or sansa became queen of winterfell, they could marry someone of a lesser house or birth and retain the stark name.

1:52 is a cool moment. Seeing Jon Snow and hearing Alliser Thorne speak in background was awesome. They both are 2 of the best men that night’s watch had in it’s whole history. Jon was serving night’s watch and trying to help other people, mostly the wildlings. Alliser Thorne hated him for that, but mostly because he was a guy, who strictly and honorfully followed the rules of the black brothers, making him think allying wildlings was wrong. But you can see that they both respected eachother at most dire time. Even though Alliser was rough on him, he didnt pick on him during the defense of the wall. When Alliser killed Jon Snow, he didnt throw bad words at him. He simply said “Jon Snow did what he thought was right, I’ve got no doubt about that. And what he thought was right, would’ve got us all killed” Even though he critisized Jon, he still admitted Jon Snow didnt go against the night’s watch. That he simply did what Jon thought was needed to be done.

When she was pursued by the waif, she almost died. Her training and quick thinking saved her from dying. How is she any less brave than Jon just because Jon went to wars?

The worst ending was of jon snow. We saw him struggle and develop. But in the end his character got nothing. Even after he not only defeated the BASTARD norm,and got out of the night's watch after dreaming of it his whole life,he also developed an identity as The King In The North. In the end he's a Targaryen and not a stark but that proves how strong of a person he was who stood strong with the family who always reminded him of being a bastard. But in the end we see him making the biggest sacrifice of killing Daenerys, getting out of his own denial that she's going mad and doing what is right not expedient. They should've give him a better end. May be he shouldn't kill her but be involved in her killing. But the only king the whole show had was Jon Snow and the only Fighter it had was Arya Stark. The north was supposed to be ruled by Sansa Stark and Tyron Lannister was the Only Person deserving to be the king's hand.
Jon is still the king in the north. Any sons he will have will ride down to Winterfell to reclaim crown and then down to kings landing
