      Wow Alia, it pains me to hear that. I actually went through something similar, but far less serious. Reactive arthritis on my right side, 3 months of drugs and rest and I was "ready to go", but just now I'm dealing with the actual damage that I wasn't aware of.
      I hope you're doing much better!

    Yo Bob and Brad, this is unrelated but about a week ago I developed Sciatica. It was horrendous, a bunch of nights with no sleep while feeling like my leg was on fire. I honestly thought I was going to die, the whole thing was brutal. Your videos changed everything and a week later I'm greatly improved, I can walk around and do chores with very little pain, only if I'm standing for like 5+ minutes. While that may sound like a bad thing for some, as someone that went through Sciatica, I can tell you that this is 100 times better situation. I'm able to sleep well at night too. I just want to say thanks, your videos are truly amazing and it's great to see people so dedicated to helping others and dispensing knowledge.

    Great information. I broke my ulna and radius bones at the wrist just over four weeks ago and had surgery in which the surgeon placed a plate and six screws. Still waiting on insurance to get my PT appointments squared away, so I looked at what you two have here on CZcams. I don't want to have problems for years because I haven't had a good treatment plan. Thanks so much!

    A few years back, my mom broke her elbow in a fall. The doctors casted her and sent her on her way. I didn't ask about therapy, and I regret that so much because now her hand is folded and her fingers are stiff to the point of being fused. I finally was able to get a therapy appointment for her to hopefully reverse some of this get her some hand use. In the mean time, what if anything can I do to help her?? I am angry at myself for not pushing for therapy when this all happened. So word to the wise, if your elderly parent falls and breaks something ask about and push for PT for recovery. I wish I knew then what I know now.

    Hey guys, loving the channel. I had the dreaded tablesaw accident involving my left middle and ring fingers. The injury looks horrible but following surgery, it looks like I get to keep everything. I can only bend my fingers at the knuckle where they attach to the hand. I cannot afford physical therapy but I need to start exercising and bending my fingers and breaking through the scar tissue. What exercises do you recommend or if you’ve made a video about this, please share the link.

    Hi. I recently broke my little finger proximal phalanges bone and cracked base at MCP joint. 8 weeks on and I still can't bend the MCP joint to anywhere near full range and the PIP joint is bent and won't straighten. The effects of both are that I can't grip. The surgeon and hand therapist say it's tendon adhesion and have me working the two joint really, I mean REALLY hard, and a few times during the day. This makes the joints very inflamed. This seems counter productive to me. But they keep telling me to push it. But there's no improvement. Should I be pushing so hard? Am I better exercising gently and letting it heal more inside before I push it? What are the best exercises to do for tendon adhesion?
    Thanks

      I have the same thing, same hand even! It goes up my thumb and into my wrist. I slept funny for a couple of sleeps and didn't really move my hand all that much. • @Joegengstah
      @Joegengstah Před 5 lety

      @@iguananed sounds like you need to do wrist mobilization followed by flexor stretching and then extensor strengthening to gradually increase "range of control" to be able to bring your wrist back. Did you do this in PT? If not you need to try another PT or even better- go to a manual therapist. He will be able to quickly check if your wrist joints are fixated, and if not continue with teaching you the mobilization drill that you must do every day. Your symptoms with push ups and not being able to bring your hand back into extension are really common, there is no way a good therapist won't have success with you. Good luck
