- Decreased grip strength after a stroke can make it hard to hold a coffee mug, brush your teeth, and pull up your pants. Today, we’ll go through a 10 minute workout focused on improving all aspects of grip strength. This is best for survivors who have active hand movement but decreased hand strength.

Thank you! Squeezing an ice cream scoop has worked well for me. Also holding a 2 pound box of bone broth in my affected hand while I vacuum with my non affected hand has worked well too, as it forces you to hold a wide grip as opposed to a dumbbell which is less challenging. 💚

My problem is that I can hold on to something very nice but I can't let go of something at all.

So a grip strengthened helps?
My pinky will not move all the way over. It is also aliittle weak.I cannot touch my thumb to my pinky.I causes me too drop things especially when I am not totally concentrating. Sorry so long.
