  • Decreased grip strength after a stroke can make it hard to hold a coffee mug, brush your teeth, and pull up your pants. Today, we’ll go through a 10 minute workout focused on improving all aspects of grip strength. This is best for survivors who have active hand movement but decreased hand strength.

Thanks for doing this video! I'm an electric bass player 7 months out from my stroke and determined to regain full use of my left hand- index finger and this has helped immeasurably!

Thank you! Squeezing an ice cream scoop has worked well for me. Also holding a 2 pound box of bone broth in my affected hand while I vacuum with my non affected hand has worked well too, as it forces you to hold a wide grip as opposed to a dumbbell which is less challenging. 💚
