Years ago, I remember a child-less friend who decided to adopt a baby. Her first attempt fell through when the mother changed her mind. She and her husband were devastated but decided to push on. A week later, she got a call from a social services worker who said that there was a newborn baby who was put up for adoption. She called me excited and wanted to go get the baby. I told my boss and had their blessing to take my friend and get the baby as her husband couldn't leave work just yet. When we got to the nursery, the baby was in a crib asleep. He suddenly woke up and stared at HER even though both of us were standing there. The baby just suddenly SMILED and I could tell he KNEW she was his MOM. 30+ years later, she's a grandma/grandpa and the rest is history...... It is possible to love a child even if not created initially in your body but throughout your life.
Years ago when I was still a nurse, I looked after an elderly lady who had fostered over 100 kids. I’ve never seen anyone have so many visitors. It left such an impression on me, her capacity for love and what the kids (now adults) had for her. What a legacy. Fostering and adoption is beautiful.
I had as well an elderly patient (101 years old) that he has fostered with his wife 114 children in total and I will never forget him....what a beautiful soul... ❤

If you died TODAY, where would you be spending eternity? Have all your sins been forgiven or are you still hoping that you're a good enough person to earn a spot in heaven. The reality is that no one can earn a spot, our sin disqualifies us. But the God news is that Jesus paid for our qualification by dying on our behalf taking the punishment that we deserved. JESUS said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son; that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 Nothing is more important than your eternal destination. Please, don't say, "When I get older I'll get right with God' or 'I'll get serious with Jesus one day when I'm ready.' Don't wait any longer, today is the day of salvation. Get right with God today, for tomorrow very well might be too late. We invite you to REPENT and accept that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life by praying this simple prayer out loud right now... 'Heavenly Father, I turn away from my old life and repent for my sins. I believe that Jesus came for me, that Jesus died for me and that Jesus rose again for me so that I can be forgiven and receive eternal life. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, receive the gift of eternal life. I ask you to fill me with the Holy Spirit and lead me for the rest of my life. In Jesus name - Amen. 🎉🎉🎉

I tried for 17 years to be a mom. When we realized it wouldn't happen in my body, we found an adoption agency. 2 months after we were approved, we got the call that there was a 4 day old baby girl about to be released from the hospital, the bio parents chose you, please come pick up your daughter! She is the best thing that ever happened to me and my husband and I am thankful every day for her.
Wow, I'm not a woman, but I can't imagine 17 years of trying to be a mom not feeling almost like a torture. 😢 So good that in the end you got to raise a baby.
In 1998 we lost our adopted daughter in a auto accident. In 2004 we started fostering another child, a boy. Because of my Cancer we were denied our application to adopt. My Wife advised our son for him to write a letter to the Family court Judge, he accepted the application, that child now graduated from high school, ready to join the Marines. My Cancer return we tell our son "NOT TO WORRY FOR HIM TO GO ON WITH HIS LIFE THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK". God BLESSED us with this child.

My sister was fostering and she picked him up at the hospital at six days old, and he was technically a foster kid for the first three years of his life even though he’s always been ours. Congratulations to this beautiful family!
@@cory1800ost foster situations are required to have a period of time where the state allows the parents to get the children back upon completion of their plan. That can be anywhere from a year or 2 depending on the circumstances. Then the actual adoption process requires a year of monitoring and check ins to make sure the child is adjusting and that there is no issues or second guesses. Then the court dates to finalize it all can take months to be set.

I was put in foster care with my 3 other siblings. My sister and I stayed together and we were put in the same home with my future mom, a single lady in her mid 50's. @@ruthosornio7779 just honesty and if/when your child wishes to try and find and contact their birth parents don’t take it as a criticism of you and how you have parented them. Sadly my parents were poorly advised and I found out by accident at 14 years old and it sent me a little bit off of the rails for a few years and made me question every relationship I have had ever since. I knew that they loved me but I became very angry resentful and still now at 53 years old have terrible trust issues. Things were different 53 years ago we didn’t have access to the records like we do now and I think they were just hoping that they never had to tell me and when I found out accidentally they had just as much of a knee jerk reaction that I did and said things that really shouldn’t have been said. So in my own personal opinion and experience I would say to bring them up knowing that they are adopted and why if known they were adopted out and why you wanted to adopt children. They have been gone nearly 10 years now and I miss them so much and am only sorry that finding out how I did made me very difficult to love for so long, but they did and I owed them so much. My pessimistic Debbie downer part says why is foster even a problem in this very rich country… literally we have enough people who claim that they (we) are followers of Christ… so many that if we as a collective decided tomorrow to end the need for a foster care system within a year or however long it would take to certify and be qualified the entire population of foster children would be in homes that supposedly are loving and nurturing according to the book 📖 we claim we follow… we could completely eliminate the system as we know it today … if we did what the book says.!!!

I’ve worked with thousands of foster parents and the vast majority are kind. The idea that people are making a lot of money with foster care is not true. Most people spend more than they get on their foster children. We just focus on the bad and lump everyone together.
@Lolly MOST of the ones I've seen are in it for the money. Spend little on the children and the majority on themselves. @@lauraretail3923 wrong, being colour blind will do more harm than good. But it's not fair to say that most white people feel that way because it's not true.
@Nikki Lauren Man, can we just stop *creating* problems where there aren't any? A moment ago, I watched this darling video of the cutest little boy getting a set of brand new parents. @Nikki Lauren when black people come at me with an attitude because they assume I hate them or because they just automatically hate me for being white, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. You usually get what you give.
@Nikki Lauren The way you're talking makes it sound like white peoplenare exclusively the problem, or even that the majority are. That is unfair and a borderline racist comment. The first step to racial equality needs to be taken by YOU too.

Everything else is just peoples perception and whatever perspective they deem fit for their lifestyle.. both of those concepts clouds the truth but one (perspective) if you using the last messenger’s perspective, which he shows you divine literature, given to him by ALLAH. You will always win. from Isa mouth Matt 4:4 " It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God"…. The Bible also teaches you who the devil is…but you must choose to follow the last messenger or die with these devils, loving and believing everything they give.

JESUS said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son; that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
Nothing is more important than your eternal destination. Please, don't say, "When I get older I'll get right with God' or 'I'll get serious with Jesus one day when I'm ready.'
Don't wait any longer, today is the day of salvation.

Seeing him in his little suit with his fist in the air gave me all the feels! Two years ago my nephew was officially adopted. My sister was fostering and she picked him up at the hospital at six days old, and he was technically a foster kid for the first three years of his life even though he’s always been ours. Congratulations to this beautiful family!
Does it take that long to adopt a child? 2-3 years? If so why? Congratulations to your sister.

@@walkingintruthknowledge7418 wow . Maybe taling a look at why you think his "people" would view him as an outsider and why you view people that are different than you as enemies. You have no idea what his story is. Or wht he was put in foster care in the first place. And if you personally believe only the same race can raise a child of said race maybe go thru the process to become of a foster parent, take on those children, and then go through the long process of adopting them as well, instead of shaming and degrading the woman that opened her home and heart up to give him a chance at knowing what safety and love is. My fiancé and I want to adopt in the future so badly any tips for future parents?
Good luck with your future family 💜

I wish this for all children caught up in the foster system. Love is all they want ❤
Sadly, most of them will never experience this. People want to adopt infants and toddlers; they rarely even consider older children.
It’s better for children to be reunified with their bio parents or placed with family. Their emotional outcomes are better.
@@sunshine91671came to say smth like this. Work with yp in care and the generational trauma in some families makes this impossible to achieve. Put children where they will receive the love and nurturing they deserve, regardless of blood-ties.
@@markarnold933 bc it says more about Christianity that humanity. Some of the worst people I've known and biggest hypocrites I've ever come across will claim g0d as their saviour. @lolly1405 Yes, BUT the bad STILL exist! My ex boyfriend had BADLY abusive neglective parents after another!
@Lolly MOST of the ones I've seen are in it for the money. Spend little on the children and the majority on themselves.

Please see lightness first. Only talk about problems you know of. Don't create them.
Thank you, just thank you for changing the path of this young man's life. We know he changed yours, too. Love changes lives

Me too! There is something very special and good about him. It shines through and everyone can see it.
The eyes are the windows into our souls .
The picture of him on the bed smiling is EVERYTHING. What a blessing for the family and for this young boy.
